Irsay calls Manning Politician-Final proof Manning is gone
Jim Irsay called out Manning on his twitter feed yesterday claiming that he is still paying him his salary for last year without him playing a single down and does not regret the decision and thinks it is the right thing to do...However on the other hand he feels Manning should not have spoken to the Media. Maybe Irsay forgot Manning was the one to introduce the walk away clause last year and has previously taken a pay cut to help sign other starters....they say a man's memory is short lived.
Quote from the article
""I don't think it's in a good interest to paint the horseshoe in a negative light, I really don't," Irsay said. "He's such a big part of that and everything else, but the horseshoe always comes first."
The quote also makes me think he has made up his mind on the divorce. Those are definetly not words of reconciliation.
It is extremely sad that this is the sorry state of affairs in Indy right now.Irsay would not have an profitable team and Lucas Oil if it were not for Peyton. Peyton will always be like a caged lion with this team.It is time to walk away when the owner starts calling you a politican after all that you have done for the city and team. It would be best for Peyton and the team.
Irsay confirms no changes coming-Interview
I had a bad feeling that our delusional owner was not going to make any changes and would give importance to continuity .Fox sports is reporting the same
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/Irsay-not-ready-to-make-wholesale-changes-in-Indy-35585603
I have a bad feeling that Caldwell will be back and so will be the Polians. It does not matter if we get Manning back or if we get Luck.
Makes me sick to the stomach.....
Manning chose the riskier Surgery( Yes chose)
One more example of why we are lucky to have Peyton.Peyton choose to have the more riskier surgery of taking one bone from his hip to fuse the C2 to C3 cartillage in his neck in the hope he will be back playing in six to eight weeks.
Patients who do this have to suffer life long pain in their hips.Straight from the horse's mouth literally
From Foxsports
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/Indianapolis-Colts-Peyton-Manning-surgery-more-painful-speedier-recovery-091111
"Several doctors told FOXSports.com that 20 percent of post-surgical patients who use the hip bone for cervical fusion experience hip pain at the site of the bone extraction the rest of their lives"
What an ultimate sacrifice for the team and people have questioned the man so much and his commitment.
It brings tears to my eyes to watch this team implode against the Houston texans.Manning made everything better including the defense by giving it leads to play with.
Bill Polian is an idiot period along with Caldwell and the mess right now is their fault and ya what happenned to all those players who were supposed to be outraged right now .
I only pray Manning comes back healthy next year and does not get too aggressive and put his life and post football career at risk.He does not deserve this after doing all this for Indy.
The houston game is proof of what this team is made of without Manning.
Positives of Manning missing bulk of the season
I strongly beleive the Colts knew during the lockout itself that Manning had a severe injury last season and that chances of him returning for the opener would depend heavily on rehabilitation. Manning might have thought the nerve injury would heal in time and might have informed his trainer's or doctor's opinion to the top management. The same doctor might have told him last week that his nerve injury is going to take much much longer to heal. Jim Irsay might just be doing his PR job of letting people in on the secret so that a huge ruckus does not rise on the role of the front office.
The front office on the other hand surely deserves to be crucified for not even trying to get an decent backup as soon as the lockout ended.Bill Polian has lost it surely and this is one of his bone headed decisions as usual.
Anywaz not that rant is out of the way.We actually could have some positives coming out of Manning missing time. Yes I am not delusional nor am on weed. Manning has covered up immense holes on this team since he was brought here.Polian and his gang have hid behind Manning's huge talent to do nothing and stick with their idiotic decisions over the years. Even if Carson Palmer/Kerry Collins were brought in today they will get destroyed behind this Oline. Nobody ...I repeat Nobody has such an quick release as Manning which enables him to work with this ramshoddy line.
Also the defense is a real joke consistently ranking in the bottom heap of the league.Always drating smaller lineman in the hope they will be blazingly fast and watch them get pounded into the ground by 320 Lb RB's and lineman surely gives us the high probability injuries that fans blame on luck.
Please dont blame Manning. He already took an paycut and is doing everything he can to help this team and he is so competetive he might even take an risk with his recovery and step up.
Positives if Manning misses time.
1.The noise will be so huge that Painter will finally get cut and the Colts will get an decent backup.
2.There will be an huge focus on the defense exposing all the chinks in the armour.
3.The Oline will go through a big transition and will be much better when Manning returns.
4.Without Manning the focus has to be on a run game and this will do wonders for the Oline to consistently focus on the run.
5.If Manning is out for half of the season we will easily go 5-13 and will be able to get an first round draft next year's pool which is neck deep in QB talent and other areas.
6.The defense will be absolutely crucified in the press and Polian will no longer be able to spin his lame stories about theories about why we lost.
Sometimes we have to look for the silver lining in the dark clouds.I do love this team to death but if Manning misses time ...I do not want this to go waste.I do not want his huge talent to be used as an mask by Polian to play his 3rd dimensional chess as claimed by his fans to get us gems like ( Ugoh,Pollak and the entire 2007 draft class)
Colts on the prowl
I just saw the news on Peyton's resigning and also the news about Joseph Addai's resigning. Also Hayden has been released. All these developments point to one thing strongly . Hayden's release is the clue , it does not save much from a cap point of view.It would only save space for 1.5 million and we would still be liable to pay him rest of the money. The strong reason might be to pool together the money for an big name FA.
Also there are couple of rumours doing the rounds on twitter and all of them say
1.Ryam Diem has refused to take an pay cut and he will be let go off ( Huge Yippeeeee !!!!)
Chris Polian also says Ijalana will be the RT which makes sense and LT will be Castonzo
2.Dan Muir is also rumoured to have been cut by the organization.
3.Jim Irsay has tweeted about two HAF signings (one being Peyton) .
If both news are true , look for the organization to do something different this time and dip its feet into the FA pool.
Over the next two days.
CJ will get resigned.
The colts might trade for an massive DT to clog up the run lanes and also get an good safety from the FA pool.
We are already set on the OL line with Ijalana, Castonzo, CJ ,Saturday and whoever gets the other guard spot. We are good on the receiving side of things with good progress from Collie and Clark. We have more than the share of RB's we want and some of that spillover will help with the Kick returner position as well.
I just pray and hope the hometown discount given to us by Peyton does not go waste and the front office uses this to get an DT and Safety and maybe an UDFA CB.
My hopes are up for the first time since 2006....I hope this time it is different.
3 Crucial Colts Players -2011 Turnaround
There have been ton of posts both defending Caldwell/Polian and bashing them for the timeout decision and roster management in 2010. Actions speak louder than words is what I firmly beleive and this debate will be put to rest and so will the fate of the Indianapolis colts for the next decade depending on 3 players.
1.If Ryan diem is back in a colts uniform ,consider the 2011 season dead as well.No need of any excuses defending Polian's genius ,the results will be very self evident.
2.Aaron the hard hitting Francisco is also one of the stud safety's the colts have at the position and Bill the genius Polian defended him handily in his radio show. If he still shows up in a colts uniform you can again plan to book your tickets for SB.
3.We also have the absolutely rocking performances of the ST coach and Clyde's amazing play calling skills to look foward to . I am sure Gijon the suck Robinson also will play a major role in kick starting the sputtering offense.
The injuries excuse is humbug. The packers have also been hit hard with injuries yet they seem to be in a much better position. The patriots also have been perennially in the playoffs yet seem stacked at many positions.Luck is a lame excuse and tanking playoff games over the past decade due to pathetic special teams play or porous defense just means we do not deserve to go the SB.
Let Bill Polian take the first step towards fixing this team by drafting Nate Solder or any other good OT in 2011 draft, get rid of Ryan Diem, Aaron Francisco ,save some salary cap and get couple of good CB's in the next round and then we can talk about another SB run. With the way the patriots , ravens, steelers, falcons, saints ,packers have rebuilt it would be foolish to imagine we can continue to draft injury prone smaller players who give 30 yard cushions and still expect Manning to bail us out each time.
This loss is clearly on Manning period
There is still two quarters of the game left ( Dallas ) but the atrocious play of this team is forcing me to think it would be much better if we dont make the playoffs. Bill Polian the genius that he is was prescient enough to visualize the problems of the Oline right after the superbowl and took immense steps to improve this line.
The Polian supporters as usual will have their sob story explanations of salary caps and also that the team made the playoffs the last eight years. I have just one word for you guys...This team begins and ends with Manning. Manning carried them all those years and when he needs help finally there is nowhere to turn .
Caldwell needs to go period.
So do Clyde and Metzelaars ..
The whole Oline needs to be dumped....
Peyton also needs to get his head straight.Today's throws were all bad bad decisions. He did get hard at times but the interceptions came on purely bad decisions by Peyton.
I sadly realize the immense value of Howard Mudd now...for years he made these turnstiles at OL look atleast decent.
I wish we miss the playoffs for once so that we can draft lower .....
Of Also Polian thanks for passing on Vollmer, Charles Brown and Roger Saffold and instead taking Donald Brown, Ugoh , Pollak and rest of the scrubs.

Colts second most injured team -Fire Conditioning Coach
Please Caldwell....Please fire the strength and Conditioning Coach right now. Football outsiders have a very good article on the status of injuries in the NFL for the past ten years and the Colts are sadly in the second place for having the most injuries and also having the injuries with the most impact. I will not paste the article here but there are clear statistics to back up this claim.
It is not even funny anymore. 3 Safeties gone, 3 WR's hurt with different injuries. OL decimated . Peyton taking shots in the game . Caldwell if you can do one thing to massively improve this team , that would be to fire the strength and Conditioning coach. We cannot make a excuse of this year in and year out blaming the football gods.
1.Either it is our small defense that is getting hurt more playing against bigger defenses.
2.Or it is lack of proper strength and conditioning that is causing this problem.
3.Or it is lack of motivation on the part of players like Kelvin Hayden/Phillip Wheeler/Ryan Diem which forces others like Addai/Powers/Gary Brackett to attempt to clean up the mistake and take a huge shot to their body.
I am simply tired of hearing of all these injuries.God it seems like eternity we have been making excuses about defeats ...so and so great player was not on the field ...hence we could not win.
BP and Caldwell if you are serious about making the playoffs.Fire the COnditioning Coach like now.
Jerry Hughes Question-Activation for Chiefs
I am obviously concerned about the slew of injuries to the secondary but the bigger question that I have is why have we not seen any snaps from Jerry Hughes. Sure I will give you that it definetly takes time for pass rushers to develop ..but why not bring Jerry Hughes on 2nd downs to get some additional pressure on the QB. Also if Mathis and Freeney are being neutralized with teams double tagging them without respect for our secondary it would not hurt us to bring in Hughes as additional pressure.
Also Freeney plays his heart out and will take it upon himself to save the secondary by bullrushing the QB and in the process (knock on wood ) there is a good possibility he might get hurt in the season.
The biggest gripe I have against the colts defense is with undersized DB's and CB's if the passrushers are negated ...all the chinks in the armour will open up. Mitch King was supposed to be the solution to bring pressure from a different position on the field , Why not plug in Jerry Hughes at this point.
It would also give the Rookie some meaningful snaps . I for one do not want to see the same old vanilla formations or blitz happy formations which results in big touchdowns making mediocre QB's look like Pro Bowlers.
Cmon Caldwell and Coyer...It is time !!!!!! We can win against the chiefs if this conservative attitude is put aside.
which team can we even stop ? Any guesses
A few weeks ago there was a thread on " Panic Now or else you will not get the chance " . To that gentleman ,sure I would love to Panic now and I will also be bold enough to say some things .
Took a quick look at the upcoming schedule of the colts
2.Redskins
3.Texans
4.Eagles
5.Bengals
6.Patriots
7.Chargers
8.Cowboys
9.Titans
10.Jaguars
11.Raiders
12.Titans
We already know we cannot stop the Jags or Texans. Titans for sure Johnson will run all over us . Patriots , Chargers are impossible to stop with the way this defense is playing. So how many more wins do you think we are gonna have this year .Please take a guess. 4? 5?
The fans have been making excuse after excuse for this sorry defense since ages...after a while it just an excuse. How many times will the coaching staff prepare piss poor plans that can be predicted easily. It is just sickening to watch teams run play after play down our threat very well loading the box and daring us to stop the run... Out of all this I feel extremely sorry for Peyton that at a time when he is playing the best football of his life he often is saddled with the role of a saviour and his brilliance masks the glaring holes in this team.
I am simply heartbroken as many fans are ....I just do not see how we will even be 2nd place in the division with this defense.
All the glass half full guys feel free to get out your pitchforks . Have a blast.
Other side of Blog changes
I have been tired of all the BBS bashing going on and frankly it is a total distraction day in and day out. This is a colts blog and people want to read colts related news and not whining on days end about blogging wars. Please stop the spamming of all threads with this bashing nonsense. Most of us do not care about this high school sillyness.
KingRichard was nice enough to share his opinion and this comment was at the very bottom of the pile in the Blog changes thread and just wanted this version to be heard as well.
I did ask for permission for posting this separately and have not heard back.Anywaz tip to KingRichard and feel free to delete this fanpost if have violated any rules by posting this separately.
http://www.stampedeblue.com/2010/9/22/1704548/changes-to-the-blog-good-and-sad#
Holy shit this is hilariously embarrassing (for some) and pathetic all at the same time.
So BBS (shake’s boss) told him not to do something because BBS said so, shake decides that’s not cool and leaves. Well laddy freakin da. I think this should have happened a long time ago, but in the form of BBS telling shake to hit the bricks.
I don’t have anything against shake personally, but he wasn’t exactly the most loyal of people to this site. By that I mean, he’d be willing to throw just about anyone under the bus anyone on the interwebs. A handful of you guys (shake included) used to run to 18 to 88 like a bunch of schoolgirls running to the bathroom to talk shit about someone else instead of taking it up through the proper channels, or being a man/woman about the situation and bringing it up directly with that person. I never commented on it over at Homerville (18 to 88) because it was sad and I didn’t really care. It was a pretty good comedic relief honestly.
As for his contributions to the site, meh. His call to fame were those mind-numbing DVOA posts which didn’t really do much in the way of explaining much. Most of the time the structure of his articles was piss poor and really annoying to read. I didn’t really think he brought much to the site aside from what a typical moderator does; the occasional article and a bunch of posting to keep the readers involved with the site.
As for the Coltzilla guys, who cares about them? Maybe those guys and the Dunlevys’ can have a big circle jerk now that everyone seems to be against BBS and Stampede Blue’s reign of uberness in the Colts blogosphere is soon to end.
Speaking of which, isn’t it hilarious how those guys at 18 to 88 write under their realm name now, even though Deshawn through that temper tantrum on Kravitz and Eddie making himself look like a major tool because he posts anonymously, and then used that whole spiel about how he doesn’t want to be “fired from a non-profit organization” (what a joke)? That whole situation is even more hilarious and pathetic than this. Good job Deshawn, you sure showed Kravitz didn’t you? hahafaihgaihg
Granted, I never had much of a problem with Brett, or Spaz even though he was an annoying little shit most of the time, but when Brett (Bamock) accepted my offer to write for my site and then never actually followed through with it only to create his own blog and ripoff just about everything Ben and I came up with, ya, that’s drawing the line. I don’t read Coltzilla because of that. It was a shady, bush league move, and I don’t want to affiliate myself with those type of people, and I wouldn’t want the people who write for me (which shake did at Stampede Blue for BBS, not the other way around, remember that people) to affiliate themselves with those hacks either. Btw Brett, if you were curious why I never responded to you after you started Coltzilla, you know why.
I’ve known BBS for a very long time, and he’s my friend so naturally I’m going to side with him on this, no matter what happened. He says a lot of crazy shit, 99% of which I don’t agree with at all and I make it known. But he’s a good guy and people need to take a step back and understand that his job is to voice his opinion through Stampede Blue, not the opinion of the masses, whether you like that or not. People really need to get over themselves because the more you bitch and moan about how you don’t like this or that, the more it’s going to happen. No one cares if you don’t like the site, or don’t like what BBS says. I f you don’t like it, hit the bricks, that’s the only way anything will “change” around here.
Basically what I’m saying is, I don’t care if shake left, BBS could find a much better and more productive wingman, and assuming BBS does, this blog is going to continue to blow the other guys out of the water.
You should read 12th Horseman. Do it.

Umpire rule will stay-Memo to be sent tuesday to teams
Fresh off the presses....No big surprise. New Umpire positioning rule will stay, memo to be sent out tomorrow with further tweaks.
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/31/sports/football/31umpire.html
Caldwell will have to plan for this new rule and its various combinations and end effect on the offense.
I really do not like this rule...Dunno why Polian voted on this one.
Sanders Healthy -Further Confirmation UPDATE
[Editor Update]: I had to make some changes to this post because the writer pasted in Pete Prisco's entire article. In general, one should never do that. If you are making a FanPost or FanShot about an article, post a link and maybe one or two small paragraphs from the article. Don't post the whole thing. If people want to read the full article, they should follow the link to that article. Hope that makes things clear. Thanks to the writer for making us aware of Prisco's article. -BBS
Pete Prisco is not the greatest source for colts news but in his latest column he offers some interesting tidbits from his interview with Sanders today from Training Camp.
The truth is, Sanders said he barely paid attention to the report, but said he got calls from friends, family and teammates wondering if it was true, all with the same question: Was his career really over after six years?
"You can come up with any type of stuff, speculation about how guys are doing," Sanders said. "The only thing that is important is that I was here today and I'm ready. I'm as healthy as I've been in a long time. It's kind of weird they said my career was over."

In defense of BBS
In defense of BBS
Though am not a regular felt like sharing my opinion...Feel free to take out the Pitchforks right now .
BBS is usually very outspoken and wears his opinions on his heartsleeves.I for one definetly like the way he writes and have no problem .
I distinctly remember Week 16 ( ya that infamous one …..) when the debates were raging on this site. The majority of the regulars were stiflingly united in their chorus that criticizing the team was literally like descerating the holy grail or something…..Some of the other commenters were trying to share a viewpoint that the faces of the players reflected a deep pain and Polian should not have done that.
BBS was sharing the view of the non regular commenters and was just airing out his opinions. People even commented that by repeatedly posting those topics BBS was somehow undermining the mental strength of the team or something !!!! Ya right like the random opinions on a blog meant so dearly to the players.
By brining down his administrator hammer BBS is probably ensuring the other side of the viewpoints are also probably heard….
The same thing took place in the Reggie wayne thread as well.. a few of the commenters felt Reggie was not justified in demanding this hike…Which was met with a pretty strongly worded putdown by DZ. And then the debate started getting skewed with the opinions of the usual commenters saying it is fine for Reggie to say that.
Why should only the opinions of a few be heard always…..Why should not one criticize the team management as in Week 16….Why is it looked down upon so much in this site for anybody to raise even a single opinion against Reggie or anybody else when their actions are not justified.
If a few start questioning it is met with Dead horse floggin Gif’s or a Robotic chorus of ….Think positive…No Criticism…Justify anything.
BBS does these extreme actions to balance out the maddening din of the chorus on this site which does not allow even for justified criticism of any player.

OL/DL Line Speed vs Size -Draft Picks
I have a genuine question after reading a bunch of draft pick posts and seen two school of thoughts. One stating that Polian will go with a TE as an offensive weapon as he usually does in the first round , the other school of thought states we have urgent needs at the OL line and that we need to have better run hole creators for our RB's to pound through.
1.The part I have difficulty understanding is ...we have one of the undersized OL lines in NFL . We rely more on our speed and technique to overwhelm the opposing defense and create those holes. But there comes a point when simply a smaller line cannot overwhelm a much bigger defensive line with just techniques and speed . Since the time of Dominic rhodes we have not had a OL line that can create huge holes for the RB's to pound through.
What is the use of drafting undersized guys again ?
2.I have the same question on the defensive side as well . Our CB's have tended to be smaller guys ...again we being fans will wax eloquent about powers , lacey etc etc. I strongly beleive they did a reasonable job with their physical tools. However they consistenly got burnt by bigger receivers ( Moss, Colston etc ....) . Next year we will play the Chargers, Pats and our usual Competition.
Why do we end up with guys like Jennings who have to give such a huge cushion to tackle and will not be able to do squat . ( Jennings fans sorry I am in no mood to listen to the usual excuse of " Oh jennings can make open field tackles...he can bring down guys..... Ya damn right after they get their first downs he will definetly bring them down ).
3.Injuries....Playing with a smaller sized players forces them to their limits during games and this is what has resulted in the slew of inuries every year since the past three years . Our guys give 200% , work very hard and are very motivated. But if a team's strategy is causing so many injuries...
Why dont we just get some big run blockers , big CB's and take a little pressure off Dwight Freeney and Sanders ?
Cheer up Homies
Congratulations to the New Orleans Saints and the state of Louisiana. I will not be one to offer any excuses of Freeney being limited or dropped passes. We got beat fair and square and the Saints were the better prepared team at the moment.
Now that is out of the way. Thanks to the colts organization for a great year, thanks to the players who gave it all they had and exhibiting amazing discipline through a lot of adversity. I know next year is going to be great with the return of Bob sanders and Anthony gonzalez. I remember the drought years and the past few years have been a godsend compared to those years. Also please do not entertain Karma threads or run polian out of state threads on this site. Polian has contributed his fair share to the organization and this loss was not karma. It was just being outplayed by a better team thats all.
Peyton will win atleast one more superbowl in the coming 6-7 yrs before he hangs it up. Also dont bother with the storm media fest that will start again comparing Peyton to a choke artist. Even the best have those plays and one single play can often change a game.
Cheer up ...this too will pass like the 2007,2008 years when we had crucial injuries. I sincerely hope Caldwell takes a look in the offseason why as a colts organization we seem to be plagued at the very worst time with some critical injuries.
Cheer up Homies ...It has been a rough night .

Superbowl-Repeat of Texans Game
I have been following Dwight Freeney's ankle updates just like you guys through various media sources. I found some of the best information about ligament tears and other stuff thanks to the knowledgable fan base of the colts . After reading all that am fully convinced Freeney will not be 100% and might not be able to do his spin move. Even at the risk of being bombarded by the other fans , feel Freeney should not be in the lineup if he is not 100% since the Saints will decide to run straight at him .
I have full faith in the abilities of Peyton and beleive we might ultimately triumph..yet am afraid the game might come to an tossup....
The things that are keeping me up late at night.;....
1.If Freeney is not 100% Jerraud Powers needs to be on the field to defend the pass...Atleast I do not wish to see Drew Brees throw 25 passes in the direction of Tim Jennings.
2.Robert Mathis will be double teamed for the most part and if Raheem Brock is the backup for Freeney..he will have to generate pressure on Brees.
3.Saints offense is being mistaken for a low scoring offense after the NFC game...On the contrary they have scored 30 points avg and without freeney it will be a repeat of the Texans game where neither defense will get stops...
4.Larry Coyer will have to go back to a basic Tampa 2 to force Brees to dink and dunk and contain the long passes.
5.The Saints secondary is a ball hawking machine.....contain the turnovers and the snake will be defanged. Dallas Clark is the only one receiver am worried about....Clark is great with TD's but has an habit of dropping passes . I am worried one of those will get returned.
6.Body hits on peyton...I pray this does not happen .....Gregg williams has hit both Kurt Warner and Favre dirty with his defense ....I just hope this does not happen...
I wish so badly that Freeney was allright...we would have demolished the saints . Now this will be classic cardiac colts rerun....
I just wish am wrong....Either way we do not seem to taking the saints seriously and I prefer a bit of realism rather than wild hope that freeney is going to be alright ...No offense intended with this post and this is not an attempt to rain on the parade.
I remember this exact feeling with Brackett missing the AFC championship game in 2008 with the chargers....Bad memories of the run game .... I hope Freeney's injury is not the same .
Go Colts.....
Karma Rerun Jets @ Colts Round 2
First of all Congrats to Peyton for his fourth MVP and Congrats to the Jets for beating the Bengals fair and square today . Even though the Pats and Ravens game is still left to be played tomorrow , have a strong gut feeling the Patriots will take care of business and squeak by the Ravens .
Karma has often a strange way of repeating itself . It will be a rerun of Jets vs Colts a week from now in Indy. The jets look a much improved team compared to the last encounter. Sanchez is no longer throwing interceptions and is taking care of the ball . Darelle Revis is an absolute beast outright shutting down the best WR's week in and out and am pretty sure will win DPOY this year.( I am pretty sure remember seeing Reggie wayne break free from Revis couple of times in week 16 game ......)
Compared to the Bengals we have a lot more offensive weapons and the most lethal weapon Peyton himself :) .Also unleashing our genuine pass rush ( Freeney and Mathis ) should make sure Sanchize makes plenty of interceptions.Enjoy the win jets fans for one more week.
I definetly want the Jets for an Cathartic cleansing due from Week 16 and then it will be time to take out the broom for the chargers.I really really want to see the Colts kick the dolts to the curb after enduring three years of post playoff trauma .( Those of you hyperventilating about the human freak receivers of the dolts ...relax....they had similar receivers the year before as well )
2010 is the year of the Colts .....Power is never given ....Power is taken.
Dont Rob Peyton of Another Milestone .......
I have been an avid reader of this blog for almost three years and it has been an absolute pleasure reading through the posts made by the wonderful stampedeblue community for so long. I finally could not stop myself from posting on here ....The colts stand on the verge of a great Milestone , the chance to being undefeated and finally shut the mouth of all those idiotic talking heads on TV. It would separate the Colts from the pack and put them on the top of the mountain .It would be an absolute pleasure to watch Peyton Manning get his rightful share of the praise that he deserves......We the fans often take this ride for granted. How often the man has been cheated of his share of recognition and superbowls...how often he has put the team on his shoulders and carried them to the promised land ( playoffs) only to see this team crumble and take a quick exit.....all because of a weak defense coached by Ron meeks . What a blessing Larry Coyer has been for this team .
Counting those losses Peyton should have had atleast 3 more rings. Finally the Colts get an chance to take a shot at being Undefeated and also achieve a second Superbowl in a decade .....
Bill Polian/Caldwell ....NFL is a contact sport , Why not rest starters in the very first game of the season since we will have injured players ...Why not rest starters in the middle of the season so that we can mount an late season push for the playoffs with the healthy guys .... I fully understand the fact that the guys who are injured need rest , atleast play the rest of the starters for the full 4 quarters....
The jets game is the last stand ....I beleive our Subs can easily dismantle the Bills who have 18 guys on IR .....If the Colts defeat the Jets , We will be Undefeated ......and Yes Attitude plays a huge role in the confidence of the team which will definetly help us in the Playoffs ....
Caldwell Please dont Rob Peyton of another Milestone and yank him in the middle of the game .Just imagine we will become the butt end of the jokes of the National Media if after all this resting we cannot close the deal in the Playoffs ...
The Players want it...The Hoosier fans want it ...... and Yessssssssssssssssss here's wishing the Chargers make it to the AFC Final and We finally hit them in the mouth with the horseshoe punch !!!!!!!
Go Colts !!!!!
