I was raised in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky.
Debated whether to go to UK or UofL after high school graduation. Decided on UofL based on a number of factors, one being it seemed like all my hometown friends were going to UK and I wanted to meet other people.
Graduated UofL in 1979 and lived on the basketball dorm floor for two years. Personally knew players like Wesley Cox, Darrell Griffith, and Bobby Turner. Fell in love with basketball at school because of this exposure and friendships. Always have enjoyed and lived/died with UK rivalry given that my only sibling, my brother graduated from UK as well as many hometown friends. All my in-laws from Henderson, KY are UK fans as well.
Business transfers have taken me throughout the mid-west. Lived in Indy for 10 years during the Indiana and Purdue glory years which enhanced my love for college basketball. Been 'exiled' in Chicago for 11 years where the only basketball people know are the Bulls.
