New Canadian franchise inevitable
Kinda screwed up my first effort at a fanshot but hopefully this works. Daly's quote on the Leaf's stance below.
"They don't have to agree," Daly said of the Leafs. "They can be dead-set against it, but that doesn't mean they can stop the league from putting a franchise here if the league thinks a franchise here makes sense."

First, thanks to warrenjm2006 for suggesting this topic as a post based loosely on Allan Muir's SI article. The decision on whether or not Seabrook makes Team Canada will depend on an awful lot of variables as the February Olympics draw nearer, but I find it an interesting study as he is worthy and Vancouver is his hometown and, well, who the hell wouldn't in their wildest dreams be up for playing with your NHL blueline partner... for your country... in the Olympics... in your home freakin' town?!!!

Team Canada Red vs. White scrimmage

Hungryhawk has a really good write up about the Team Canada - Red Vs. White Scrimmage the other week. I thought I'd add it to the main page here so more people can get a look at it. Pretty awesome that 18,000 peopled showed up to watch the scrimmage. As popular as the event out in Woodridge was, I can't see the USA team packing the UC for a scrimmage. Though the Canada roster reads like an all-star game while the USA team... not so much.
