What becomes of a fired general manager in the National Football League? Does he fade into the background and join another team in a lesser capacity, perhaps scouting or player personnel, hoping to again prove his worth and earn the opportunity to run a franchise? Or, does he join the staff of NFL Network or ESPN and remain in the public spotlight, passing entirely baseless and harshly critical judgements over the decisions of his once, fellow peers? Or, does he merely fade into the abyss, never to be heard from again? expected of the renegade and firebrand (former) GM of the Carolina Panthers, Marty Hurney, has rejected the dismal fate of his predecessors and has trail-blazed a new path: Blogging on Cat Scratch Reader under the persona 'Hurneynator'.

His mission? To enlighten a downtrodden fanbase, and earn back the respect of loyal Panther fans he inadvertently 'hurneynated' (before getting unceremoniously 'richardsonized').

Thus continues the next chapter in the ongoing saga of mankind's final salvation, Marty Hurney...AKA The Hurneynator.
