@dwightjaynes not a peep about Bayless? Need some ketchup with that Crow?
EDIT:
From Jaynes
Jerryd Bayless — what a night
December 18th, 2009 by Dwight Jaynes | Filed under NBA, Trail Blazers.
Man, that was the game of his dreams. I was very impressed.

The big thing for Bayless is the outside shooting. If he can knock down three-pointers and hit that pull-up jump shot from the foul line, he’s going to be an outstanding player. Honestly, I didn’t think I’d see that out of him.

But you’ve been reading here, so you know that.

There are several questions now, of course. First off, is this the real Jerryd Bayless? Can we expect to see this kind of thing moving forward or is he just riding a hot streak? Should he be starting? Why hasn’t he played more, if this is what he’s capable of? Can he avoid fouls consistently the way he did last night? He took a lot of charges and most of the calls went his way — will that continue?

All good questions. What do you think?

Anthony Randolph on the block?

Warriors’ Randolph on block again

For two seasons, the Warriors have had an odd time with Anthony Randolph(notes). Sometimes, they’re in love with his sheer athletic ability in that 7-foot frame and considered him untouchable. As a rookie, they dangled him in deals, too. Well, it’s happening again. Several NBA teams say Golden State officials have offered Randolph in trade discussions, but as one Eastern Conference executive said: "I think all of their roster could be had."

Says one Western official: "The Warriors are willing to do anything and everything."

Randolph is 20 years old and blessed with terrific talent, but his staying power and maturity have frustrated Golden State officials. It appears they’re willing to cash his potential for more mature assets. After destroying the summer league in Vegas, Randolph has averaged 11.1 points in 21.8 minutes per night for the Warriors.

Even with his patriarch, Keith Smart, substituting for an ill Don Nelson, Randolph’s productivity hasn’t improved. Still, he’s so young, so gifted, it’s a move that would come with a great deal of long-term risk.

Andre Miller, Portland: The Blazers may not want to move Miller, but long-term injuries to Nicolas Batum, Travis Outlaw and Rudy Fernandez have left Portland with a gaping hole at small forward. Miller's three-year contract is only guaranteed for another year and a half, making him a reasonable acquisition. A source says Portland has at least broached the subject of Miller with Houston, hoping to pull Shane Battier from the Rockets' grasp. Good luck with that.

Get Healthy
We believe!

Man, this just rips my heart out. Patty Mills, Pendergraph, Travis, Rudy, Oden, McMillian, Paul Allen, Mo Lucas, LMA’s sore knee, the Blazers are walking wounded right now from the front office to the floor.
However, this is my team. I don’t play for them, obviously, and I haven’t even been to Oregon in a decade, but this is my team and these are my guys and even though I feel sick and disappointed, I will not stop watching, I will not stop rooting, I will not stop supporting the team with my time and money.
This is more than a game, these are people’s lives and their health in play. I believe in each of them, as individuals, and I believe that they are going to make it through. I love my team, and even if we never win a championship, I will pull for these guys. I understand that in the wake of fate’s devastation, trades may be made. Those potentially leaving will always be Blazers to me, they will always be "my guys" and I appreciate everything they’ve brought to the team.
It’s funny, because I’ve only ever met Blake and Outlaw, and that was briefly. I can’t say I know these guys in person, but I’ve watched them all, I’ve watched most of them play in college. I have followed their careers from the time that they were just "potential Blazers."
But I know them. I’ve watched them respond to adversity and perceived unfairness, I’ve watched them succeed, I’ve watched them choke and fail, I’ve watched them respond to both. Even though this is a game, you can get a sense for the caliber of a person as you watch them compete at this level when it’s not just a sport to them, it’s a livelihood. They are my Heroes, they are our Heroes. They are the "soldiers" we send forth to represent the pride of the city and the region. Like the ancient Greek city states, these men stride forth in "battle" against other cities for honor and glory, celebrating the highest levels of athleticism, skill, strategy, individual merit, and teamwork.
These are my Trail Blazers, these are my Heroes, and even though it hurts, I will not stop watching, I will not stop cheering.

Go Blazers!

RIP CITY FOREVER!

SATIRE:Bombastic Team Introduction Scares Timid Charlotte Bobcats Back Into Locker Room

CHARLOTTE, NC—Frightened by the deafening music, the frenzied laser show, and the announcer's booming voice, panicked Charlotte Bobcats players fled the chaotic environment of the Time Warner Cable Arena during their pregame introduction Friday, hiding in their locker room until they were assured by officials that it was safe to come out. "I have no idea what was going on out there, because it just went totally dark, and then everybody started screaming and there were these sirens going off for some reason," said small forward Gerald Wallace, who admitted fearing for his life. "Then there was this growling, super-loud voice that seemed to come from all around us. And somehow it knew all our names—how? Anyway, that's when we all got the hell out of there as fast as we could."After Bobcats coach Larry Brown spent 20 minutes coaxing the players back onto the court for the opening tip-off, the team scattered in every direction when a referee blew his whistle.
