find that gray sweatshirt that mcdaniels has been wearing these past few weeks? It has our old logo on there, it is a hoodie, someone has to know where I can get it...please help a fellow broncs fan out !!!
I keep reading and keeping an eye out on other forums, but no luck. I have heard it has been available at the team store, and also through sports authority, I would pay some good money for it too...
Someone knows what I am talking about and where it is...
Please help with this ..
I was just at last nights game and I saw a pretty cool teixiera shirt that I looked all over for down in the bronx and in the yankees team store but no luck. I really want to purchase it and want to know where I can get it .. please help
All I saw was the back of the shirt and it said "You have been teixecuted" and had crosshairs and the baseball and the outline of the pitcher throwing the ball and tex locking on with crosshairs ...
Please help, it actually was a pretty cool shirt but I can not even find it online ...
Thanks for taking the time to read thisand in advance if you know what I am talking about .. Go Yanks
Interesting way to look at Swisher Trade (Evolution)
http://bats.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/04/11/the-evolution-of-a-trade/
KANSAS CITY – The way Nick Swisher is playing right now (7 for 13, with two homers and nine runs batted in) the Yankees’ November deal for him looks like a steal. They shipped infielder Wilson Betemit, a player they significantly overrated, and the minor league pitchers Jeff Marquez and Jhonny Nunez to the White Sox, who were eager to dump the $22 million they owed Swisher through 2011.
Swisher looked like a spare part after the Yankees signed Mark Teixeira, and in time he might be. But for now, Swisher is doing everything the Yankees could have wanted, and they have the notorious Ruben Rivera to thank.
Makes no sense, right? Well, follow the evolution of the trade that brought Swisher to the Yankees.
1990 – Yankees sign Rivera from Panama.
1997 – Yankees trade Rivera to Padres in Hideki Irabu deal.
1999 – Yankees trade Irabu to Expos for Jake Westbrook (and others)
2000 – Yankees trade Westbrook to Indians for David Justice
2001 – Yankees trade Justice to Mets for Robin Ventura
2003 – Yankees trade Ventura to Dodgers for Scott Proctor
2007 – Yankees trade Proctor to Dodgers for Wilson Betemit
2008 – Yankees trade Betemit to White Sox in Swisher deal
There you have it. How Nick Swisher became a Yankee, in eight easy steps.
Man killed after fight at A's/Angels game
http://www.comcast.net/articles/sports-mlb/20090408/MLBFanDeath.040809/
A man has died from injuries incurred in a fight after the opening day game at Angels Stadium Monday night, according to a report from the Los Angeles Times.
The fight occurred at about 8:45 p.m., as the crowds were clearing the stadium after the Angels defeated the A's 3-0.
Witnesses say 27-year-old Brian Powers was fighting with a man when a third man joined the fight, according to the Anaheim Police Department. The third man reportedly approached Powers from behind, punching him in the head. Powers then fell and hit his head on a concrete step in a stairwell in the right-field pavilion.
Powers was pronounced brain dead around midnight Tuesday at UC Irvine Medical Center, according to Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez.
Police are looking for two male suspects, aged 25-30 and both with goatees. They're also reviewing security videos that may have captured the attack, but are still searching for more information about the fight that led to the death of the Buena Park, Calif., man. "We're asking the public's help to find out what the fight was about," Martinez said.

Sawx attempted to get ...
Hanley Ramirez, hat tip to MLBtraderumors.com
According to Jon Heyman and Tom Verducci of SI.com, "the Red Sox made a play to re-acquire Marlins superstar Hanley Ramirez after losing out to the rival Yankees for star free agent Mark Teixeira." The Marlins listened, but no agreement was reached and talks have ended. The Marlins coveted players such as Jacoby Ellsbury and Clay Buchholz, but they'd need to be bowled over to trade their young shortstop.
Ramirez, 25, is signed at a discount through the 2014 season.
Teixeira Bans Himself in Boston
very interesting article with a person familiar with the mark texieira negotiations ... hat tip to MLBTradeRumors.com
It has to all stop at one point ...
Gotchya in here didn't I ...
OK everybody running their mouths about the yankees commiting over half a billion dollars this offseason, as nicely as i can say Shutup !! ESPN among other analysts and sports institutions have said it all along, all the other teams out there are haters and I love it. You all sit there and say "money, money all the money the yankees are spending, its not fair, bah bah bah..cry cry cry...". Well. first off the yankees are sepnding this money on proven players well not AJ so much but we will see, not one hit wonders like pavano or an older guy like kevin brown. Second, they have commited this money yes but it has all only added up to 63 million a year, which as some people may know 85 million came off the books so yes we have signed all these players but we are still cutting payroll from last year. Third, the yankees make the money to spend it, its not just ticket prices, its licensing its advertisements, its the YES network, its the new stadium, its fan shop sales all over the world. But most of all they yankees owners are not taking what they make a year and stuffing it all in their pockets.
Other Teams cant say the same if your going to tell me that the red sox are only making 150million a year i will laugh, they are making a lot more and pocketing the money. The steinbrenner family may look greedy grabbing this free agent and that, but they are commited to putting the best possible product on the field and although it hasnt worked out that way on paper we have been picked to win a lot of the past 8 years. Now with the new stadium they have restaurants and bars and lounges, that will pull in more money.
Another huge thing that annoys me about red sox/celtics fans and all others who think this way: "The yankees buy their championships, its not fair" What in gods name did The celtics just do? Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett .. what do you call that ? Garnett will always be a timberwolve, and Ray Allen wil always be a milwaukee buck. These guys the yankees are singing are just getting into the prime of their careers. Also the lakers had Kobe and Shaq for the longest time did anyone says its not fair about them? Grow up people.
I am not sorry that I am a fan of a team that is commited to do whatever it takes to win, and they will put the money they make back into the club to give the fans what they want, what all fans should want To Win. Now although the yankees have gone out and opened those checkbooks this year is different, they will have a solid pithcing staff with no true question marks this year. Their 2nd and 3rd guys could be aces on other staffs.
Even the GMs, and owners are starting to cry .. WOW, well hows this the yankees payroll will be lower last year and with the luxury tax the yankees just paid they just bought someones big name player for them, so don't tell me they are runing the sport, like it or not they are the sport. So your team can't keep up, develop players like the rays did, it is possible obviously to not spend a fortune to put a solid team on the field so stop the whining. The Yankees will do it their way you do it yours.
And the yankees have done all of this and still continue to develop their own players in Austin Jackson, and Hughes, and Kennedy, and Melky. So yes they are a huge corporate basebal machine, developing young players and not trading them off like they used to and bringing in the "WIN NOW!" talent they always brought in.
In closing Merry Christmas to all Especially Yankee fans !
Safe Holidays to you All and your families !
TEX IS A YANKEE
Due to multiple reports from ESPN and SI the yankees have signed TEX to an 8 year 180million dollar contract that will include an opt out clause, Buster Olney and John Heyman both reported that the Yankees and Tex people got deep into discussions around noon today and its official they have swooped in the final hours in this high stakes poker game ...

TEX A YANKEE
ESPN, and SI have reported that the yankees have swooped in in the final hours and have reached an 8 year 180mill deal which will as most sources are certain have an opt out clause ... Both Buster Olney and Jon Heyman have reported the deal on their respective sites, boy i would feel horrible to be a sox fan right now ... I said it all along the yanks needed him too much and had first base open, well mark teixera maybe the LAST BIG BANG at the old staduim

Big Tex's Decision
Is it just me or is this guy truly not able to make up is mind, i mean come on teams are throwing 200 million dollars at him in a time of recession and he wants more, he is holding up the whole market for guys like abreu, giambi, manny, i dont know maybe he is hoping boras can engage the yanks, i mean i wouldnt mind it but at the same time this guy is definately being a little selfish here and he knows he is holding up the whole market, i will say this though he reminds me of tino, i dont know why ...
Cleary Tex is not An idiot
Just an update on the whole Mark Teixiera, BoSox meeting tonight it ended very quickly and with Red Sox Prez John Henry saying Tex has better offers and clearly they will not be a factor with him ... ?? He says that Tex has better offers on the table and aparently the sawx arent willing to go better than their 8 year 184 mill offer .. how did they go from about to sign him to well NOT ??
