I wonder if the M's might be interested in trading for our friend the toy company here as DH for next season? Even in a down year, he's still OPSing .775 and has a wOBA of .345 (Branyan and Ichiro are the only Mariners this year to do better in meaningful playing time). He's a switch-hitter who gets on base and could probably be had at quite a discount with the Cubs paying a good portion of his salary. And someone with anger problems could do worse than the M's clubhouse of happiness and sunshine, especially if Griffey and/or Sweeney are back next year.
