I grew up in Anoka and graduated from Anoka High School. My family moved to Minnesota in 1864 and bought a newspaper in 1865. We ran it for many years until it sold in 1989. During that time, I was blessed to have access to tickets for all kinds of MN sporting events. Of all the Viking games, Twins games, North Star games, Gopher games, Timberwolves games, AWA wrestling matches, and high school sports I watched or covered, the Twins remain my favorite! I have great memories of the MLB All Star Game at the Metrodome, finding home plate from Met Stadium in the MOA, and the World Series' in 1987 and 1991. Far and away my fondest memories growing up center around the Twins!
