Look. Zduriencik is a fucking great hire. He may not be who I would have chosen and I was ceratingly shocked when he was hired. But the dude knows his shit. I mean for an ugly dude he has a hot wife. But he also knows his motherfucking talent. I mean he is fucking Pat Giillick with an ability to respect a minor league system and not fucking nuke it on steroids. He may not be my choice but the dude knows his shit and we should give him credit for that. He has the potential to be the best general manager in franchise history and God willing he will be because he knows his talent. We may see some weird moves but I doubt we see another Vidro trade and I doubt we see anything on the P-I I mean Post-Intelligencer Poll because Zduriencik knows what's up. Dude is a baller in the baseball sense

And I may be drunk but I'm pretty sure I spelled Zduriencik right so that has to count for something

For the last week all I have been drinking are Pyramid and Red Hook sourced beers. Tonight I got drunk off some Jager and then went to drink Icehouse to continue my inebriation. I could not drink it. I switched to Hefeweizen and ESB and was able to comfortably drink.

I am having issues drinking cheap beer. And its your fault.

I have never been happier.

that most of Idaho isn't even farmable? Too many mountains.

Central Idaho is indisputably the most beautiful place in the country if you ever cared to visit.

Idaho has more untouched wilderness than any other state in the lower 48. This is possibly the greatest state in the country.

OK, now that this is out of my system, it is good to be un-quarantined

I come from the midwest originally. My parents make great ham salad.

Lately, I've had a craving like no other for ham salad and am on a mission to find it. I can't seem to find it in any grocery store deli and I don't have the resources to make it myself.

Does anyone know where I can go to buy ham salad? I'm willing to drive 75 miles (so the area bounded by Marysville to the north, Chehalis to the south, and I guess Morton/Granite Falls/Enumclaw to the east, and I can go as far west as Aberdeen)

This is URGENT Update [2007-10-10 19:50:53 by David Corcoran]:- Nobody ever told me about the "hand blender" and I found one of those and bought requisite ingredients. So I made me some ham salad using butter knives and a hand blender. It's absolutely delicious.

I've been in Idaho the last three days, up north enjoying life in Coeur d'Alene, and I haven't been watching the games.

But I have been looking at the WE charts, and all I ahve to say is that the M's look really bad and they should get drunk because they couldn't possibly play any worse.

this is embarassing. I mean, I bowled a 68 tonight, and that was embarassing, but this is really embarassing. You're major fucking leaguers, you pitchres. Now pitch.

The Caravan was pretty boring, a lot of stupid questions from little kids. Rick Rizzs was a douchebag. But I like the guy. He gave me the highest compliment an aspiring radio voice could ever get:

Conversation went like this:

RR: How are you? (looking down signing my ball)
DC: Fine, how bout you?
RR: Good
*looks up*
RR: You have a great radio voice. You should get on the radio and make some money
Followed by more boring talk about radio

Does somebody with a TV know what number he is wearing? The official site says 17, but I think Bohn is wearing that. If somebody could clarify, that'd be really cool.

Random fact of the day: The first elevator, called the Flying Chair, was erected in King Louis XV's private apartments in the Palace of Versailles in 1743. It gave him ready access to his mistress, Madame de Chateauroux, on the floor above. The Flying Chair was operated by weights.

I love the Marlins.

Who'd'a'thunk.

I can't wait to see FLA: Your 2006 Series Champions

Now I just want the Dodgers to win a hell of a lot of games, and SD and PHI to lose to death.

If they'd just get some fans, now.

Two months too late. Leone was outstanding for Portland over the first month and a half, but he's been pretty mediocre of late, leaving him at .282/.385/.470 in 319 at-bats. That he is a fine defender at third base should help earn him some playing time for now. However, we fully expect the Padres to acquire a third baseman, something that will probably result in Leone's return to Triple-A.

Good Luck, Justin!
