Bucs Nation How I feel about the 2010 season

Hey Bucem readers!  I haven’t done a big post on here, but I wanted to get one out as the past week or two I have read enough comments bashing the Bucs to get under my skin (not really on here but on all the other sites I am sure you all have seen).  So here is my feel good post, which helps me keep my spirits high for our great Bucs team.  It’s a long one so I apologize for that.

Per PFT BJ Askew should be released by the end of today.

Don't know how valid this report is off of PFT, but it said that besides the Jets and Seahawks being big contenders for Marshall, if you read at the bottom it states the Bucs also were showing serious interest. Not hearing a lot about us in the Free Agency/Trade market, at least it is good to hear that we are trying to get potential playmakers that can fit our team. Sure we didn't get him, but he might not be worth the price that the Dolphins payed if he brings his baggage. It probably came down to is he worth the risk and with a team rebuilding like we are, that type of risk might just not be worth it. Especially with the deep receiver draft that is supposed to come up next year.

According to league sources, Jimmy Wilkerson will be visiting the Saints on Monday and Tuesday. Does any one know if we put any tender on him. I couldn't remember.

I am linking this Q&A session the Pewter Report had withe Raheem Morris. It has quite a few questions, but nevertheless a decent read. I thought it was curious how they asked about our Full Back role next year and Raheem mentioned that Earnest ended last year as our number one FB, and he is our number one FB. I have no qualms about this beacuse I feel that Earnest can play a heck of a FB.

Also, there are two questions about Michael Clayton worth a read. I just liked the way Raheem described the perception of others regarding Michale Clayton, stating that when he drops the ball it just pisses everyone off. So very true.

It looks as though things are heating up, as this group is getting closer to try and perform a forceful takeover of Manchester United. Could be a good thing for the Bucs if it happens, as the Glazers would get enought money to pay off their debt and some, and hopefully put more interest back into the Bucs. And no I am not saying that I think they are taking funds from the Bucs, but it would be nice to not have that as a remote possibility anymore.

It may only be two picks higher, but with such a deep pool of talent this draft, those two picks will count.

Bucs Nation Cadillac to have a outstanding season in 2010

Hello Bucem Community,

I have been following Bucem all year long and love the articles on here.  I only recently registered (don't know why it took me so long) and wanted to share my 2 cents and get some opinions on Cadillac.

Williams coming back from 2 horrible knee injuries in back to back seasons, yet having an admirable year with 800+ yards and 1000+ if you include receiving, could have quite the season next year.  Obviously having our running backs change to the Zone scheme, and then realizing 1/2 way through the season that they were better suited to go back to the power running game, did not help our backs at all.  But what I am most interested to see is what Caddy can do with a full off-season to train and prepare for next year.  Being that the previous 2 years he had to work just to be able to run again, and wasn't able to even start getting his cut backs and speed until after the season started, it is amazing that he put up the numbers he did this year.  With the MRI being preformed just recently on his knee's to see where they stood after this season, they showed no more damage.

With a whole off season to work with his now bionic knee's, I have a feeling that he can and will put up very nice numbers next year.  Add the fact that we should be getting Aaron Sears back, and a whole offseason with one Offensive Coordinator (hopefully), next year could be one of his best.  What do y'all think.
