But Peterson inking a new deal (that doesn't raise the bar to 17) doesn't change anything with regard to Ravis being here in 2015.

Ravis is on 16 a year. The Peterson deal is 14.

Is a 40-3 win against a team like Oakland stronger than a 35-17 win against a team like Pittsburgh? Just using output doesn't give any context to the ridiculously easy schedule the Broncos played and the Pats didn't.

Is Stafford a good QB, or is his "production" mostly attributable to Calvin Johnson? You're running down the path of saying it's the Stafford Show in Detroit.

Remember the 2013 season when Brady only had 2, maybe 2.5 receivers total?

Just the one where Tannehill is a threat to be a good QB. Gotcha.
Commented on Patriots Secondary to None on Jul 23 2014, 1:56p - 1 reply
Campbell's "production" was the direct result of Gordon and Cameron having huge games THAT WERE INDEPENDENT of who was throwing them the ball.
Commented on Patriots Secondary to None on Jul 23 2014, 1:54p - 1 reply
And if their production had been 70% of Brady's in 2007 as Campbell's two were for one game, you might have a point.

60 yard bombs to the goal line have nothing to do with the QB at all. Right.

His arm was fine, he broke it again on a freak play where he just landed on it in the wrong spot and it broke at the focal point of the stress.
Commented on GNOTD: Rob Gronkowski Cleared By Team Doctors on Jul 23 2014, 12:14p - 1 reply
If the QB never has to throw to his third option on a play, you're not doing a good job of shutting down the first two.

They did shut down Campbell. Who's a below-average starting QB, not some Tebow-type thingy. And who at the same stage of his career was in a similar boat to Tannehill, only his was general Washington-ness and not OL turmoil
