Dillard will start in the middle
ESPN NFC East writer Matt Mosley made a bold prediction today. During an online chat that took place at Noon, a fan asked him this question:
So if you've got Sintim as a starter on one side, A)presuming Boley still starting on the other, who do you have in the middle?
And he replied:
Dillard starts in the middle, Sintim and Boley will be out there with him.
I wonder why he is so quick to assume Dillard will start?

Eli's Potentially Untapped Talent
In a recent article from the Bleacher Report website, Saulo Padua shares his thoughts on replacing the Giants former Quarterbacks coach Chris Palmer, and Eli's maturation under Palmer.
"Well, after three seasons under Palmer’s wing, Manning proved to the league that he is an elite quarterback, carrying the load of the offense for most of last season and displaying brilliant ability to read defenses before the snap and excellent control over the football.
In fact, Manning improved so much under Palmer that the Giants offense has re-shifted from using a heavy run offense to a passing one that puts the ball in the quarterback’s hand whenever in need of a play. So much for the “limited” influence over an offense."
One could also blame the atrocious running game, but a lot of the credit goes to Eli.
"It is a fact that Manning is all grown up now. He is already an established quarterback, and Palmer’s influence will always play a role in Manning's game (thankfully), but it is also a fact that No. 10 can still improve a lot.
Being 29 years old, Manning has still yet to reach his prime, and he still shows promise to one day become the type of quarterback all defenses have nightmares about—much like his older brother—and the choice on the next quarterbacks coach could play a major role in unleashing this potential."
We can all agree that Eli is an elite QB, and that is directly a result of Palmer's tutelage. But it would be great if the Giants can find another QB coach that could teach him even more, and maybe push him to that next level, where he can attain "the glow" (The Last Dragon anyone??). Seriously though, I hope they can find an above average QB coach who could also continue to develop Eli as well as Rhett Bomar.
The Best Offensive player at Senior Bowl practice (DEXTER MCCLUSTER)
Here's what Tony Pauline had to say on SI.com about some of the performances this week by a few of the prospects participating in the Senior Bowl.
Dexter McCluster, the RB out of Mississippi, was his choice for the best offensive player during Senior Bowl practices this past week.
"McCluster presented himself as the jack-of-all-trades in Mobile and someone who mastered all the applied trades. He was explosive carrying the ball, making defenders miss and creating yardage while also running hard on the inside. He was also a game-breaking pass catcher who sprinted past opponents down the sidelines. All that's left is for McCluster to showoff his return abilities during the game. He's improved his draft stock at least 30 slots and could now hear his name called as soon as the early portion of Round 2."
I know there has been a lot of debate here on BBV as to whether or not we need to address the RB position in the upcoming draft and if so, in what round. I'm a big McCluster fan and I think hew would be a great pick up. If he impresses during the Senior Bowl game, and puts up some great combine numbers, He will definitely be taken in the 2nd. I think he would be a great 2nd round pick for Big Blue because he will a dress 2 big concerns for us heading into next season.
1. He would add coveted depth to our oft-injured RB's, and would certainly be the most explosive.
2. He can handle the kick/punt return duties, which would be a big improvement over Hixon, and then we can finally cut Hixon or maybe trade him to Al Davis for a 2nd rounder! If only...
Kevin Boss the best Tight End in football?
Gregg Easterbook thinks so. ESPN Columnist Gregg Easterbrook had this to say about our favorite Tight End,
Kevin Boss of (The Giants) -- an afterthought in the 2007 draft, when he was chosen late out of Division II Western Oregon -- caught two touchdown passes, and now may be the NFL's best tight end. Dallas Clark and Tony Gonzalez are better pass-catchers, but Boss is the better blocker: If NFL general managers held a draft of tight ends, I bet Boss would be the first selection.
