Andy Rautins Rant
I'm not a GTOWN fan but thought you'd all enjoy my rant on current Knick Andy Rautins. This kid does not belong in the NBA. I screaming at Dolan and Donnie Walsh when they drafted him and yelled directly at Andy last night in the Knicks preseason loss to the Celtics. The Knicks were up for most of the game and lost due to Andy Rautins lack of ball handling skills. Doc Rivers kept Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo in the game late, while the Knick played bench players (proof Andy Rautins was on the floor playing basketball instead of mopping up sweat from real basketball players). Send him to the NBDL already!!!
Let me quote Draft Express "From a physical standpoint, Rautins is underwhelming for an NBA shooting guard, and doesn’t have any notable strength, length, or athleticism to make up for his average size. He has strongly defined strengths and weaknesses as a player, and he plays a style very well suited for his lack of physical prowess." What kind of style is that. Shooting college 3-pointers on a Syracuse team where he isn't the focal point of the offense. Thankfully the Knicks signed Roger Mason Jr, and have Danillo Gallinari, so they will not need to waste a roster spot on this excuse of a three point specialist.
I really feel the only reason Rautins was drafted is because D'Antoni played professional basketball with Rautins Father in Italy. Time to send Andy back to Canada.

Jahil Okafor 6'9 HS Frosh Gtown Top 4
Jahlil Okafor will be a High School Freshman this year at Chicago's Whitney Young HS. He is already 6'9 and may grow to 7 ft, or even 7'3 as doctors have suggested. While attending a HS basketball camp at Illinois, his father was quoted saying "Kentucky, Georgetown, Syracuse and Connecticut," are his four favorite schools. "He enjoys Illinois. I haven't pushed my biases on him yet." He already has an scholarship offer from DePaul, which he received while he was in the 8th grade. Still a long way to go for his recruiting process, but Hoya fans should be happy to see he currently thinks very highly of the Georgetown Program.

Sam Thompson Trims List to 5 Schools - Gtown Still On It
According to Illinois beat writer Jeremy Werner Sam Thompson, Chicago Whitney Young HS, (Ranked 33/44 Rival/Scout) has cut down his interested school list to Georgetown, Kansas, Oregon St, Ohio St, & Florida. He will visit all of these campuses and hopefully make a decision before November. It is believed that Thompson feel out of interest with Illinois after they signed Rivals #18 F Mycheal Henry from Chicago Orr HS.
Thompson currently has offers from Florida, Ohio State, and Oregon State. Georgetown has yet to give him an official offer. Expect more interest to come for this recruit as his numbers will rise with the departure of Anthony Johnson to Purdue and Ahmad Starks to Oregon State. According to his HS coach, he is now the clear leader of his team.

C.J. Blackwell, a 3-Star 6'5" SF has interest in Georgetown and his favorite schools are UCLA & Georgetown (Not Wisconsin where his former Seattle Supersonic Father Cory Blackwell played college ball). Blackwell is said to be on of the top rebounders on the AAU circuit and also has a good jumper.
