And The Valley Shook Thanks Everybody At ATVS

I just want to thank everyone at And The Valley Shook for the LSU coverage.  I found ATVS doing a google search for LSU football 3 years ago, and have come here just about every day since.  Thanks for the constant updates on LSU, they have been much appreciated to a teenage LSU fan growing up in Utah.  I'm afraid I won't be able to visit at all for the next couple of years, as starting on Wednesday I'm going to be serving a Mormon mission in Rome, Italy for the next two years.  I just wanted to thank everyone who comments, as well as Richard, Poseur, Billy, Podkatt, Jrlz, and Paul for feeding my obsession and providing a good place for info, as well as civilized and intelligent discussions that aren't found many other places.  I'll be back in 2 years, and will have no idea about what's happened while I've been gone, so this will be a good place to get educated again.  Thanks again...I realize it takes a lot of time to run this website, and it's much appreciated.

And The Valley Shook Who gets #18?  Murphy.

I just looked at the updated roster, and apparently running back Richard Murphy has received the now-traditional number 18 (despite some lobbying from Russell Shepard).  I can't say I argue with the decision at all.  Murphy is a 5th year senior, one who has never complained, despite never being higher than third on the depth chart at running back.  Not only that, but running back is a key position this year, and we are going to need somebody to step up.  Everyone is talking about Stevan Ridley, and for good reason, but if Murphy's knee is fully recovered, he definitely has the opportunity AND the ability to shine this year.

Another thing I noticed on the roster was that Toliver has changed his number to 8.  Craig Loston will wear number 6, certainly another number to watch out for.  If anyone else notices any number changes please comment.

And The Valley Shook If you could bring back one Tiger from the 2000's for next year's team, who would it be?

The headline says it all.  I was just curious who it would be.  I initially thought Dwayne Bowe while watching highlights, but after thinking about it, I think Dorsey (or Landry) would be huge.  We don't really need a WR, we have a solid QB who will keep progressing.  Maybe Helms on the offensive line, because as soon as he left it all fell apart, and he really impressed me with how he handled Cody in the 08 Bama game, but we probably need more than one lineman.  I think we'll be solid at running back, as well as linebacker and corners.  That basically leaves D-line and safeties.
