Farvinügen

That German term means "driving enjoyment" in English.  This is taking the "Farvin" up another notch.

Combines our Germanic roots here at Daily norseman, the wonderful Farvin chemistry that we have experienced the past couple weeks and a little taste of the good 'ol purple kool aid.

So head out to the chat rooms and blogs and spread the good cheer of Farvinugen, because we will be seeing allot of it as we head towards the playoffs (dare I say the promised land Valhalla?)

I rather enjoyed the fact that the Packers lost again today.  I thought I would check out the replay on NFL.com and watch as Green bay got there arses handed to them by the Falcons (I know, I laugh when I think of the Falcons 2).  So there I am watching the 5 minute recap of the game, and I have got to tell you, if I did not know the outcome of the game, I would have sworn that GB was DESTROYING the Falcons through this game.  Anyone who watches the video without watching the final 4 seconds would probably think the same thing.  Why does it seem that nationally so many folks have such a raging hard on for this team?  Why does the bias seem to swing so far in there direction?  I know, I know, history, yada yada, blah frikin blah.  Whatever happened to being objective?  Shouldn't the league (NFL.com) present the game a little more fairly, and perhaps give the uhm, I don't know, winning team a little credit?

Seriously, I don't get it, can someone explain?

I do realize that the sky is falling, the Vikings seem to be imploding, and that the coach seems to have an IQ smaller than his pants size.  However, luckily the rest of the division has been stinking it up pretty bad so far this year.  The Vikings are going to be getting back some key players over the next few games, which could make all the difference in the world.  LT Mckinney will be returning from his suspension this week, which could allow for the offense more than the 2 seconds to get the pass off we have been seeing so far this year.  FS Madieu Williams will be returning at some point in the near future, and although Tyrell Johnson has filled in admirably so far this year, I do believe Williams will be a huge improvement to the pass defense.

Greener pastures coming up guys, just close your eyes and drink the purple Brenavin kool-aid.

Titans' Kearse Charged With DUI 22nd June, 2008 - 1:50 pm AP - Titans defensive end Jevon Kearse has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop near the Vanderbilt campus, as reported by the Associated Press.  Vanderbilt spokesman Jim Patterson said Kearse was stopped early Sunday morning after campus police reported seeing the SUV that Kearse was driving weaving across the road.

With the addition of Jared Allen alongside the best defensive tackle combination in the league (Willams brothers), the Vikings now will have the ability to break down there opponets pass protection in short measure.  A new PR slogan for the D-Line could then be "In your pocket", as reference to there ability to get into the oppositions backfield, and the ensuing havoc they will cause.
