Ice Hockey Round-Up: Big Crowd, Big Win in Rochester

These kinds of wins weren't supposed to come this early. Yes, Penn State had put together a great combination of coaches and players for a brand new NCAA program. There would be close games, good...

Penn State Ice Hockey: Lots and Lots of Hockey

It was a busy weekend for Penn State ice hockey. The men opened their season with a set against American International College; the women had their home opening weekend, facing off against CHA foe...

Quick and Dirty Ice Hockey Primer

Ice Hockey team adds 11 players to next season's roster

Penn State Mens Ice Hockey officially announced 11 players that have made the roster for next season. Perhaps most surprising is that seven of the players are club-originals - a number most of us expected to be closer to one. They join the original four members of Jensen, Kirchhevel, Holstrom, and Johnson, who were named last year (and are all NCAA transfers). Congrats to all of those named to the team - all well-deserving of their place on the team next year. Linking to TYT here since he includes the incoming recruits to fill out the (expected) full team roster for the inaugural varsity season.

Sharaya Musser Kicks Ass, Wins All The Awards

At the risk of having nobody read this, many congratulations to Sharaya on earning her 6th B1G Gymnast of the Week award for the season - a new record in the B1G. She earned an outstanding 39.650 all-around on Saturday's meet vs. Maryland, tying her season best score. She is currently ranked #2 in the nation in the all-around.

Icers Recap: And Then There Were None

They had done everything they needed - earn the #1 seed in the tournament, overcome a hungry Oklahoma team, and be healthy and ready for an upset-minded #13 Oakland squad. The Icers were primed and...

Icers Recap: Of Cupcakes and Closing a Chapter

[Bumpage. -CG] It's a little strange. Perhaps because of the fact that there will still be hockey next year, and it will still be played at the Greenberg no less. For the last time in front of that...

Icers Primer: The ACHA Tournament (Part 2)
