Nick Foles, YAC and the Need For Eagles WRs to Keep Running

Eagles Addict looks at YAC and their importance in the NFL's highest producing offenses last season.

Sean McDermott Was A 'Chip' Off The Old Block Afterall

..after washing-out almost immediately (and almost unjustly) here in Philadelphia, Sean McDermott has blossomed in Carolina.

Ladies & Gentleman..... It's Official

The Key To Regaining Home Field Advantage in Philadelphia?

Eagles Eye Blog examines the most obvious reason as to why our beloved Eagles lack a homefield advantage since moving from The Vet, architecture.

Why Should This Collection of Defensive Coaches Be Any Different???

Tommy Lawlor compares this collection of Eagles defensive assistants to those of the immediate past; and considers how this new grouping should fare better.

The Best Azz-istant Coach We Have on Staff

A look at how Jerry Azzinaro (aka Mr. More Violence) and the rest of the assistant coaches on the defensive side at Oregon had more input (and impact) than usual.

Clay Harbor & Jason Avant the new Mike Vrabel & Troy Brown?

Chip helped Bill Belichick with his hurry up offense; maybe Bill helped Chip find possible two way players in Avant & Harbor?

Meet Our Perfect Trade Back Partner... The Miami Dolphins

Our friend Jimmy K from Iggles Blog/ Blogging the bEast (etc) took the time to examine a perfect trade back partner for us regarding the 2013 NFL Draft.

One of the writers over at 'Breaking Down the Draft' whipped up a nice mock draft w/ a fairly interesting twist.

Hours Away From Free-Agency, Lets Literally See What It's Like To Be A G.M.

Hilarious. That's the only way I can put it. Two 20 something year-olds find a way to get Bills GM buddy Nix & Bucs GM Mark Dominik on the phone w/ each other & record the conversation. You gets their perspective on the new 'legal tampering period,' players that are on the trading block, & more importantly their take on Quarterbacks (in house & elsewhere). Gem.

A Closer Look At The OT's Available in FA Prt.II

Football Outsiders finishes up its player by player review of the top Offensive Tackles available in FA by looking at Jake Long, Phil Loadholt, and Jermon Bushrod.

A Closer Look At The OT's Available in FA

Football Outsiders breakdown the games of Free Agent Offensive Tackles Sebastian Vollmer, -Branden Albert-, and Andre Smith,

Under The Radar Safety Target for Eagles?

Though this article was written with Green Bay Packers fans in mind, the player being discussed should be of interest to Eagles fans as well and (strangely) has not even been a topic of discussion. Meet 25 year old FS/SS Mike Mitchell.

Free-Agency Matchmaker

Pete Prisco from CBS Sports looks at this year's pool of free agents and gives his take on what single player would fit the best with each team.

Little Do We Know, The Our SAM LB May Already Be On The Roster

Vinny Curry talks about how his off-season has been going, his familiarity with the new defensive staff in place, and his (possible) new position.

Vinny Curry 2.0

In anticipation of the possible defensive scheme changes Vinny Curry has been working on his linebacker drops. Also, he decided to go Venice Beach on us.

Why Don't We Cut HIM? Or Trade HIM?

A look at the players the Eagles currently have under contract, & what the cost would be if we were to release/trade said player (Trent Cole, Danny Watkins, Jeremy Maclin for example).

You Can Drop the 'S,' I Just Want Our First

Nice read on why Chip Kelly will LeBron James-esque bring not just one championship to the Eagles, but two, three, four....... You get the idea.

Cutting Jenkins & Patterson Saves Cap-Room, But What Did It Really Cost Us?

The guys over at Eagles Eye Blog admit and acknowledge that the cutting of Mike Patterson & Cullen Jenkins yesterday made plenty of sense; but they also take a look at the giant Oregon Ducks shaped 'O' hole it creates on the roster, and the added pressure on the young players already present.

A 'Bird's Eye View' of the 2012 Decline of DRC

Eagles blog 'McNabb or Kolb' put a magnifying glass to the decline of DRC's play over the course of last year. While the information presented seems pretty damning, in the same breath it's really not; & I draw attention to one specific quote from the article: 'Rodgers-Cromartie is capable of playing at a high level in spurts, but to do so consistently he needs special attention from coaches. That's not something we expect Kelly and his team of 50 assistant coaches (give or take) to have time to do, right?' In actuality the reason why Chip brought on those '50' coaches was so that he can pay special attention to each player IMO; and ensure that they (coaches & players) understand how he expects his brand of football to be played. Good read though.

When Brent Celek Is 'Bad,' Is He Really 'Good?'

Taking a look at how -good- Brent Celek's 2012 campaign was for the Eagles. And after looking at this, what style of complimentary TE do you think would best serve the team (in line/ split/ big bodied/ H-Back/ ETC).

Breaking Down The ILB Prosoects

Being an SEC guy, #GoGator, my personal favorite & the ILB I feel is slated to be the first one off of the board is Kevin Minter from LSU. But attached is an article giving you a look at the ILB that seems to be the best at a certain facet of the game.

Time To Start Making Those In Home Draft Boards

The NFL Combine is at the end of the month, and the NFL has released its list of the 333 invitees. Some players that are already expected to be top draft picks either reject the invite, or elect to do certain drills opposed to running the entire gamut preferring to wait until their Pro Days to put on a better show; or simply improve upon their combine numbers. Either way here's a list of the players you can expect to see down in Indianopolis.

Donatell May Be Off Limits, But Is Tomsula?

We may be roadblocked when it comes to San Fran's secondary coach, but their defensive line coach seems to be just as appealing (and decorated). Off namesake alone when compared to the (unofficial) coaching staff, he's a perfect fit. But his experience as well makes him a prime candidate; and maybe he is.

Really, How Good Is Alex Henery?

Whether it was a need or not, when Alex Henery was selected in the 4th round of the 2011 NFL Draft most people let out a Fantasy Football War Room chuckle. He was by far one of the most decorated kickers in NCAA history coming out of Nebraska, who had a reputation of making long distance kicks; but as a rookie none of that Avila was really on display b/c Reid seemingly 'protected' his young kicker. 2012 was a different year though, take a look at how he stacked up against his peers.

Giants Release Chris Canty

Perfect fit as a 3-4 DE and a pass rushing presence as a 4-3 DT. Would be a nice pick-up for the right price.

The 3-4 Versus The 4-3

+ looks at the top scoring defenses in the NFL, the systems that they run, and tries to project how the current Eagles roster projects in the 3-4.

Important Dates For The Eagles Regarding The QB Position

Eagles blog 'McNabb or Kolb' details some very important dates on the horizon regarding the Eagles and what they plan to do w/ the Quarterback position.
