Hogs Haven Chances of getting both Da'Quan Bowers and Stephan Paea with our two second rounders

It would definatley help to solitify the front seven. And adding players of kerrigan bowers and pae in the first two rounds would be a major win for us. Does anyone know the severity of Bowers injury why did he go from a top 5 pick to fall completely out of the first round?? Also could bowers play a 3-4 DE?? I think he could end up being a major steal if it turns out his injury is not that serious. Would defiantly like the fact of adding 3 new startters at LB DE and NT in the first 2 rounds...

Hogs Haven Carson Palmer anybody?

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6051119

I would trade McNabb, Haynesworth (they run a 4-3 defense)or maybe our 4th rounder?? He would be an upgrade over Rex and he is still young. Granted he hasn't been the same since his injury, but if they want one of or two of the players and pick mentioned above I'd do it..I think he has a lot left. I don't know what kind of offense he ran in Cincy, but does anybody know if he could fit with Kyle's offense?? With him threatening to retire it definatley hurts the Bengals leverage in a trade...What say you?

Hogs Haven Should the Redskins trade for Andre Johnson?

ESPN link

I feel this would be a great opportunity for the Redskins to trade for him. He would instantly elevate the Redskins into the division favorites discussion (along with the Cowboys). It also makes good football sense on a lot of levels. Why? Unlike past Redskins bonehead signings, this one would actually make football sense. He is an elite receiver (just reaching his prime) that can have a 15-20 touchdown season on his own. He is very familiar with Kyle Shanahan's system considering he (Kyle Shanahan) was his offensive coordinator with the Texans. He would automatically fit right into Kyle's system. It also doesn't hurt that in that same system, he was one of the best receivers in the game with Matt Shaub as his QB. Considering we now have Mcnabb, I think that would be an upgrade over Shaub throwing him the ball. He is also still VERY young and still a top 5 receiver. I know he would cost a lot of money, but it would be money well spent for a position of need and it would drastically improve the team and the reciever position. This football team lacks playmakers and this guy is definitely one!

P.S.

I remeber before Brandon Marshall was traded, most Redskins fans wanted the Redskins to trade for him, but I believe Andre Johnson is a better all around reciever than Marshall (Johnson can catch in traffic/over the middle and is a deep threat). This trade would be a great fit the Redskins and Johnson in my opinion.

Hogs Haven Redskins logo change?

With the "new regime" taking over, I feel the Redskins are trying to change the culture of the organization. I definitely think they should go back to the old 1983 logo (Riggins days) where the logo is flipped and the feathers are curled. It could be sort of symbolic also. Like, the way the Redskins logo is now, represent the Dan Snyder days of running things (10 years of losing) and flipping the face and feathers of the logo could represent a change back to the glory days. What do you guys think should they flip back the logo? Just some fun thoughts during the LONG off-season

- For those that don't know what I'm talking about, here is a pick of the 1983 helmet logo.. 6a00d8341c4f7053ef0115708f73e2970b-320wi_medium

Sign this man asap! He's started all 16 games in his 11 year career and has had 9× Pro Bowl selections (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009).
He was scheduled to make $7.5 million this season, of which $5.25 million was guaranteed.

Hogs Haven Bruce Campbell 4th round?

Hi guys,

Bruce Campbell fell into the 4th round tonight, which is somewhat surprising to me. I thought he would'nt last past the third round. I know he's considered as a project, but he has all th physical tools to play. Where was he projected to go? Wasn't he a late first/early second round grade? I think he would be an upgrade at the Right tackle position. He is also VERY athletic (something Shannahan likes in his zone blocking scheme.) Should we snatch him up tomorrow morning in the fourth round?

Hogs Haven USC #4 Joe McKnight??

I absolutely LOVE this guy. He had a down year this year (2009), but had an awesome 2008 season at USC. He has everything the Redskins lack at the running back position (speed, agility, strech the field, big plays, punt returner, catch out the backfield.) If he is there in the 4th round, I think the Redskins have to take him. I don't see all three of the veteran running backs (Parker, Portis, LJ) making the final 52 man roster, and I definately think he could be the third back on the depth chart and be the full time punt returner. He has big play ability and can take it to the house on a single play. When was the last time the Redskins had a game breaker like that? (like Reggie Bush) If he is there in the 4th round I think we gotta take him. It would be an absolute steal in my opinion. What do you guys think of McKnight?

Hogs Haven Albert Haynesworth is now not attending minicamp...

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/jason-campbell/jason-campbell-signs-tender-bu.html#comments

"Pro Bowl defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth also does not plan to attend the voluntary minicamp, according to people in the organization familiar with his situation. The Redskins have actively tried to trade Haynesworth, and might move him during the draft."

This guy is unbelievable.. seriously. He just got paid 21 million dollars last week (Monday) and now is threatening to not attend minicamp?!? I was fine with him doing his own thing in the offseason, but not coming to mini camp?? Why? If you paid me 40 plus miliion dollars, I would pick up peanuts (after you spit on them and on me.. lol). All this just because his fat ass doesn't want to play in a 3-4? He didn't do shit last season. Can you imagine in the "real world" if you told your boss "I don't want to do this" or "that's not my job to do this"... laughable. I don't even care anymore if we only get a third rounder for him, you cant and will never win with this FAT P.O.S.!!!

Hogs Haven Discussion: What could the Redskins get for Haynsworth?

Since the rumors have started up today of Albert Haynesworth being traded, I'm just wondering if we decided to trade him, what would be considered fair value in return? I think nothing less than a first round pick and an X player to be named. What do you guys think? What would be fair value and what would you expect to get for him if he was traded? I would be SO happy if they were able to get a first rounder for him. That would mean we would have two first round picks (that could both be used on linemen) and we would also get another pick for Campbell (maybe third rounder).

The Redskins have paid Albert Haynesworth his $21 million option bonus, so his contract is essentially reduced to a three-year, $16M deal..$9 million is guaranteed.

Bullets Forever Can we PLEASE make things go back to the way they used to be?

Ok, with all signs pointing to Ted Leonsis buying this God awful franchise (atleast the past 20 years of it) we need a serious "culture change". Now, some people may think its enough to blow up the team in order to change the culture... I don't think thats enough. We also NEED to go back to the retro colors (red white and blue). We can't change the name, but the colors need to go back (retro) with the stars down the sides of the jerseys and change the style of the wizards logo and writing (make them in the same style as the bullets logo used to be and also bring back the two hands holding up the basketball as the logo. Go back to the same jerseys, but just change from the letters bullets to wizards. I think it will RE ENEGIZE the franchise-team-fans-city !!! If you recall Ted Leonsis did this exact same thing when he took over the Capitals, he switched from those ugly blue black and gold (like the wizards have now) and brought back the REAL original logo and colors and they are the hottest team in hockey. I think people under estimate how much of an effect switching up the jerseys can have on rejuvenating a team and franchise. I'm sick and tired of telling people "I'm a "Wizards" fan. It's just embarisiing... we might not be able to change the name back, but the old logo and original team colors NEED to come back!!! What do most people think? Would this be a good idea for Ted Leonsis?

Hogs Haven If we pass on Okung for Clausen...

I will straight burn all my Redskins garb.. no joke. If we pass on Okung if hes there(who is a STUD) he will be a starting LT for 10 years. You can not pass on him and take Clausen who is a reach at  #4. At first I thought there would be NO way we'd pass on Okung if he was there for Clausen, but know Mel Kiper is pushing Clausen to the Redskins all over the Tv and I'm getting nervous. We better not pass on Okung if hes there.

Hogs Haven Should the Redskins reunite with Antonio Pierce?

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4905683

Fletcher is getting old and he (Pierce) could add some much needed depth to our weak linebacking core. He is also familiar with the team and city. I know he was bitter and mad at the skins for letting him go, but he could get over that easily (atleast I think so). Heck, maybe he could  even slide over to OLB where Orakpo was playing. Then you could move Orakpo to DE. The only problem is I don't know if he can play in a 3-4 defense. When he was with the Giants he was playing in a 4-3. I am by no means suggesting they throw HUGE gobs of money at him, but if the price is right and reasonable I would definately take a look at him. I think the man can still play ball. What do you guys think should the Redskins sign him and would you welcome him back if they did?
