Andrew Spriegel is President, Patent Attorney and General Counsel for MKANX, LLC.

Andrew is a Husband, Father of Four, Son, Brother, Patent Attorney, Engineer, Inventor and Entrepreneur. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, and graduated from the University of Akron’s C. Blake McDowell School of Law. While attending law school, he worked full-time and prepared and prosecuted more than 100 patent applications in a variety of technology disciplines. Andrew was registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 2002. While at the University of Akron, Andrew was President of his Class for the Student Bar Association, a member of the Phi Delta Phi law fraternity and started the 2007 Evening Class Scholarship fund. Andrew is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association, the National Association of Patent Practitioners, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and an Eagle Scout.

Prior to his legal career, Andrew worked in Lead Electromechanical Design Engineering or Management Positions for companies such as GE AstroSpace, GE Transportation Systems, GE-Lubrizol, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space, Invacare, GOJO Industries, Kensey Nash Corporation and IBM. He has worked on designs and projects involving NASA, International and US Air Force Satellites, the Space Station, GE Locomotives, Off Highway Vehicles, Surgical Devices and Medical Equipment. Andrew has numerous patents and patents pending in the U.S. and Internationally involving: locomotives, engine subsystems, surgical devices, medical products and devices, hardware applications, containers, fluid pumps, sports, business methods and software.

Knowledgeable in Intellectual Property and has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in many technical areas, including sports products, sports systems and methods, software, nanotechnology, imaging technologies, software, business methods, semiconductor processing, device physics, mechanical and electromechanical devices. Andrew is GE Six Sigma Certified.

He also has extensive experience in Trademark, Copyright and Branding.
