due to my current living situation
[aka: dorms with crappy cable...
the only times ill get to watch will end up being ESPN/FOX]
i have been considering buying a subscription to mlb.tv.
im just curious about how frequent the blackouts are and feedback in general.
ive heard some horror stories
so i just would like to be sure before i invest the little money i have. lol.
so guys tell me...
good... bad... worth it?

is anyone else planning on going?
They moved the venue to the Georgia World Congress Center.
I for one am excited about not having to deal with the weather.
Does anyone remember when they release the names of players who will be attending?

well even though its 3 months away,
i am already looking forward to that weekend.
it wil be a wonderful birthday present. :]

some entertaining videos on the braves website
with niekro lemke and schuerholz!

but then again i dont know much about elton.

okay so the cable provider in my dorm room sucks
and i dont have sports south.
i havent been able to watch the last two games
and i feel so lost. :(
soo.. i was wondering if anyone had the vid of the guys on the show the other night.
and any other information about them playing at the stadium.

i dont know if anyones up for this ..
but with two wins making the mood a little lighter
i thought it would be fun to make a
"you know youre a braves fan if/when.." list.
ive seen them around and thought
it would be an interesting thing to piece together.
because obviously different parts of baseball stick out for different people
if nobodys up for it...
or if this isnt a "talking chop" type thing thats fine.

so have at it if you wish...
or just give me a quick but gentle slap on the wrist :]

Two Cents on The Jones Boys

Maybe its just the fact that hes annoyingly been my brothers favorite player since Nam
and he has been the Poster Boy [blahh] of the Braves forever,
but Chipper's growing number of little injuries over the years really grinds my gears.
It seems he is constantly having a seemingly minor injury that keeps him out for days.
Bruised wrists? ehhh.. yah i mean im aware that its going to make batting highly uncomfortable, but i dunno.
Am i being too hard on him or is anybody else annoyed?

Andruw
Obviously Andruw's lackluster performance so far this year has raised a lot of speculation on his free agency motives
and natural ability [with Starks belief that Andruw is the most overrated center fielder.]
So all of this heat coming down on him really makes me wonder "have i really been missing the big picture about Andruw Jones?"
When recently talking to a close friend of mine who is a Dodgers fan
he told me he couldn't stand Andruw because of his overwhelming amount of arrogance.
This statement caught me a litle off-guard because i always felt Andruws strikeout smirks and defensive antics a little bit endearing.
But with his recent comments basically saying
"Hey im a powerhitter i do what i want no matter how much my team or performance suffers"
It really made me wonder.
How much is this kid invested into this team and is he in it for the love of the game?
Has Andruw become too big for his britches?
Is he truly having fun playing baseball with the huge child-like smile he always seems to have on his face?
Or is it a smug smile displaying how proud of himself he is and the amount of money hes rolling in?
I never like to me one to jump of the bandwagon for anything but this situation does raise a lot of questions.
--Also ... isnt his "oh no! Lost the ball whered it go? OH! just kidding im right under it. gosh im so funny." bit getting a litle old?

I Was Never Good At Titles

As is sit here with my laptop feeling very Carrie Bradshaw-esque sans the cigarette, i wonder can a statement like that be made in a baseball world.
can sex and the city relate to the game and is there room for fashion, celebrity, endearments, and "awwws" after a player makes an funny face?
well i sure hope so, because i can't help but flip between E! and ESPN all the time.
i can sit with the boys and argue with the best of them, and then jump into the latest gossip with my girlfriends of whos dating who....
and i must say ive come to realize im very proud of it and hope that i may be in good company.

Now onto baseball news:
-Thank God for Kyle Davies. I really hope he can step up and solidify the end of our rotation.
He had good control and i loved seeing that bat. Makes me wish i could get my hands on some little league film back in his "glory days".
Haha, and you gotta love the pure excitement from BabyFace and Frenchy.
--Thank God we let Redman go and im glad to see semi-quick decisions about productivity are being made. Sure i could have done with a couple less starts from Redman
but im glad to see Langerhans, Wilson, and Redman all got the axe when it needed to be done. Although my heart really broke for Langy. Poor kid. Hopefully sooner or later hell get it together.
---Game 2. Hopefully we can get some more offtense going off Olivier Perez than in the past.
