Texans head coach Gary Kubiak went on the NFL Network and discussed the Texans' 2011 draft class, Mario Williams' move to linebacker, and whether or not he is targeting free agent CB Nnamdi Asomugha.

It seems if we lose the game to the BESF's heads will begin to roll out.

Battle Red Blog I would like to get rid of the coaching staff

Now, I just saw the most incredible loss today. They can still surprise us in ways to lose games. (At this point i'm quite numb. Thank you bleach) However I must give credit to the Jags, who played a good game with the usual accolades that come with a very close win. This loss is not the sole reason why i want the coaching staff gone. It's this loss along with all the other losses which could have or should have been won.

Please dont give me excuses. I know "its on you," and i respect the coaching staff for not bad mouthing their players. However it comes to my attention that the Texans  have not played "full games,"  they play half a game or a quarter a week. I'm a Texans fan and i know that there is talent on that field,  on both sides of the ball yet the coaching staff has yet to capitalize on the potential of the team.

Our mediocre coaching staff built a talented team. (or should i say got lucky and ended up with a talented team)
The talent on the field should not cover for a mediocre coaching staff.

This week is shot for me.. unless i hear that the coaching staff has been changed.

The Dream Shake 12-man Rotation

I'm getting kinda bored listening to possible line-ups for the 10-11 season especially with the trade rumors flying about. So the other night i was thinking if i could pick any player who as ever donned the rocket colors to go into the 2010 season who would it be. I have my list and i have my reason for each person on the list. Who would you guys choose?

The Dream Shake Our Hero

Can you hear me? Who can you trust in uncertain times? How can you, i, our friends and family really trust that what we see on TV and hear on the radio is true? I can tell you how.

The deal is done. After careful thought and consideration, Lebron James has announced he is signing a 2-year contract with Verizon Wireless as his cell phone carrier.

James also considered contracts with Sprint and AT&T. The latter was expected to land the former Cavaliers star with its new iPhone 4, but James was lured to Verizon after receiving assurance from the store manager that Verizon would soon be adding top phones.

The Dream Shake Morey signs the impossible!

Daryl Morey does the impossible. Along with The Doctor, Morey goes back in time to sign Olajuwon, Drexler, and Horry to the rockets 2010 roster in a attempt to defeat the Cybermen threat in the 2010-2011 season. The Doctor explained that in 2004, LA feared that they would never win a championship with the loss of O'neal. Jackson took a short leave of absence to find the answer, but because of his greed to win, he foolishly trusted the cybermen who plan to rule the world by slowly assimilating NBA players to dominate the sport and then the world. Because of the doctor and morey, Houston has best chance of saving the sport and humanity.

The Dream Shake Searching for Answers for the 2010-2011 season

I have many questions running through my mind as this season winds down. What will Yao Ming's role be when he returns next season? Will the rockets limit his minutes? What will the 2010-2011 roster look like? Will Sergio Llull be in houston next season? Who wont be returning in a rockets uniform? Will the Von Hawk hair cut ever come back? How much will hill improve during the summer? Is there any possibility of ever seeing Landry in a rockets uniform again? How many times will we send Jermaine Taylor to the D-league next year? Will Brian Cook's chair ever be warm again?

With these questions i set out to speak to a mystic so he could ask the spirits

The Dream Shake The Quest

Frightened that we may not make this year's playoffs, I set out on a quest. The purpose was to find the missing element of the Houston Rockets. I heard tales of a player who rebounds about 9 a game and contributes about 20 each game with a FT% .832  high in the mountains.

My journey lead me north of the Himalayas. I was lucky enough to find a lift 1_medium

Then following the path that looks safer than it actually is
2_medium

It sure is a long way down.
6_medium

at times i had to climb, (theres no way you cant look down)

7_medium

Exhausted and tired, i read my directions once again. Follow the steps to your destination.

Thank god i thought to myself "finally something simple....."

As i looked up

8_medium

Son of a bitch... Seriously?

9_medium

Finally i arrived at my destination.

As I entered the building i was greeted by familiar faces...

(both): Crazy Americans... you could have just driven up using the west road.

(Not pictured) Shane Battier laughing in the distance.

(me)So your telling me I came here to find out what everyone already knows. In the most elaborate route possible.

(jackie) Yes, Shane told us you might be stopping by in around this time if you didn't fall to your death. He's a funny one that fellow.

(me)So this entire year Yao has just been hangin' out with Jackie chan?

(Jackie) Seriously? how stupid are you? He's been here training long hours to bring houston to its former glory days of its twin championships. He runs in the mornings Yao_600_060728_medium

(me) Wait a minute is that Steve Francis? How long has he been here?

(Jackie) Oh he's been here since 2008. When he got here, he just kept mumbling that he never ever wanted to play for the grizzlies

(yao) we've been training together and working hard. He thinks if he trains hard enough he can get back to playing with the rockets... Sadly though Brian Cook has a better chance of seeing any playing time with the rockets.

(me) Brian cook has been waived already.

(Yao) umph... no wonder battier said the benchseats have been unusually cold as of late.

The Dream Shake Carl Landry, You will be missed.

Carl Landry swats Rudy Gay, salutes Mutombo (via clutchfansDOTnet)

I will miss the hustle, i will miss the smiles, i will miss the energy he brought off the bench, i will miss the the points he brought to the table, i will miss "the missing teeth" jokes, but most of all i will miss the positive attitude he brought to our organization

I will also miss those crazy dance moves.

The Dream Shake Yao Ming, Shoots free throws.

I thought we could use a little encouragement after our loss against the suns.

He shot 100 and made 92. Thats pretty awesome... last time i tried that I only made 57 of them.

I know it wouldn't be the best thing, but I would like him to be back some time this year.  I know we can make the playoffs this year with out him, but it if he comes back in time for the playoffs I would almost feel sorry for the Mavs, and the Lakers.

The Dream Shake So much time

The first half of the season really messed me and my friends up... We're so used to only having one day down time. I'm so used to them playing in new york then play L.A the next night then day off to head back home for a game or to two road games, which ever made the least logical sense.

I'm not used to them having two days in between... What was the NBA thinking? Actually giving the Rockets down time to rest for the next game? What's next, a 25 million dollar contract player actually playing TEAM basketball that accepts the roles assigned to him by the coach?

The Dream Shake Because we could all use a reminder

We've been on a bit of a skid lately. I thought we could use a reminder, that we are not ones to lay down, that the rockets will fight for every game. We will push the ball once more, no matter who it is, we shall bring our best on the court. Where the words "we did not match their intensity" does not exist. Where missed shots are not missed opportunities but opportunities for offensive rebounds. We are RED NATION.

The Dream Shake T-Mac and Hitler

By far one of the funniest movies i've seen. Basically hitler makes arguements that many anti-mac fans have been saying about him so far. He would trade anything for t-mac. New teeth for  Carl Landry, a tricycle for Aaron Brooks. I was just so amazed by this... Since i wanted to share this with all yall, i need at least seventy five words long in order to publish this. one, two, three, four, five, There its done.

The Dream Shake Von Wafer comming back to the nba?

Former Rockets guard Von Wafer is close to leaving Olympiakos and returning to the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies, one source told HoopsHype.com. Wafer’s European agents are working today to rescind his contract with the Greek powerhouse. The 6-foot-5 guard could soon afterwards join the Grizzlies for the rest of the season, the source said.

Wafer’s departure is apparently of mutual agreement. Wafer was due to make $2 million with Olympiakos this year but the team’s coach, Greek legend Panagiotis Giannakis, wasn’t playing him for the last few games. Management didn’t want to have that type of investment sitting on the bench, according to the source, so both sides decided to come to a quick resolution.

 From http://blogs.hoopshype.com/blogs/sierra/2009/12/11/wafer-memphis-bound/

Supposedly he's heading to the grizzlies.

He did alright for us last season, yall think the rockets should try and get him back if he's on the market?

Battle Red Blog Being a Texan Fan

Being a Texan fan for the last couple of seasons has to me been like falling in love with the wrong woman, over and over again. At the beginning of this season, I was hopeful and ready for “our season.” I was ready for our first W at home against a team with a rookie QB. We lost 7-24, our worst lost in the season.  But then the Texans played at Tennessee against a team that the season before went 13-3, a AFC south division team (The afc south aint no joke) and won.  I’m just ecstatic, because they showed me that we got the tools to be a dominant team in the AFC.  Then they lose to Jags at home by a touchdown, and every other game we’ve lost since then has been a touchdown or less. Jags 24-31, at Arizona  21-28, at indy 17-20 and the most recent lost at home against the titans 17-20. All games we could, and should have won. I feel like I’m just being teased,  like they’re telling the fans we can take you to the promise land but not just yet.  At this point I’m fed up, but am I going to stop watching? Hell no. We’re 5 and 5 and we 6 games to go. I know its crazy to think we can win the next 6 especially when you got the colts and the pats in those games, but you have to be a little crazy with these rollercoaster, edge of your seat games.

The Dream Shake T-mac acting up again?

I think we've all read the Wojnarowski column on Yahoo! Sports

Eventually, Adelman returned to the locker room and retreated with McGrady into an adjacent coach’s office. McGrady slammed the door behind him, a witness said, and that marked the start of a tense, sometimes loud exchange that could be heard in the locker room, sources said

Then theres the AP column  that says this

“We have a difference of opinion,” coach Rick Adelman said. “He wants to play. He’s not ready to play. It’s as simple as that.”

Both sides denied a Yahoo! Sports report that the situation degenerated into a heated argument before the Rockets’ previous game at Minnesota. The report quoted a person close to McGrady who was not identified.

Now the latest column from the chronicle had this to say

I would like to think that RICHARD JUSTICE is just adding fuel to a fire but theres too much talk for all this to be false...

Whats yalls take on this?

The Dream Shake What ever happened to Francis?

Its like he kinda just faded away from the world doesnt it? Last I heard was when Houston Rockets traded Francis to the Grizzlies on Christmas Eve, 2008. The Rockets sent Francis and a 2009 draft pick that Houston had previously received from the Grizzlies for a conditional pick in 2011. Then the Grizzlies waived him. (i guess finally getting him back after all these years) Its kinda bitter sweet. Is he even still out there on the FA list?
