CSR Community Mock Draft Recap
Well, after a long, long drafting process, the esteemed members of CSR have completed their Mock Draft! Wasn't easy keeping track of all the different trades and picks, but I'd say it was rather successful considering the craziness that ensued sometimes.
A few rules and shout outs after the jump!

S.I.'s Biggest NFL Stories of 2011
Guess who is #6? More props for a transcendent player we are fortunate to have. Just a minor share with you all.
Jonathan Stewart's FOX NFL Pregame show spot
For those of you who missed it, this is Stew's TV spot during the pregame show last weekend. If you didn't see it, watch it. It is hilarious. If you have seen it, watch it again.
This Day in Sports History...
Didn't realize this, but this day back in 1995, our very own Carolina Panthers took the field for their first regular season game, losing to the Falcons 23-20 in OT. I'd say we have come a long way in 16 short years.
Goodell at Training Camp
Nothing earth-shattering here, just video of him riding around TC in JR's Pimp Mobile (aka a golf cart). Nothing big, just extra video to see.
Bucs to wear Creamsicle jerseys for Dec. 4th game against Panthers
Not important news, but I thought I'd share it. There is no excuse when you lose to a Creamsicle (orange and white throwbacks). Hopefully the Panthers will realize that and win...
Newton ESPN Interview
Just a quick 4 and a half minute interview with Cam about his time training during the summer. The guy is definitely staying busy.
Newton cast aside for SEC male athlete of the year for a tennis player
Case of haters gonna hate? Or something else? Nothing serious, but a curious thing nonetheless.
ESPN's Owners rankings
I know it isn't much, but once again, JR is not mentioned at all. Granted he hasn't won a SB, but the guy has been damned successful... not a mention though. I call BS.
AP Poll says only 27% of people support 18 game schedule? I don't buy it.
Considering the fact that out of 1,125 people they interviewed, only 482 of them are ACTUAL fans of pro football. Ask 1,125 fans of pro football that question, then you will get a real answer.
Marty Hurney on The Mac Attack
Hey all. Just wanted to post this for you guys. I am not sure if you have heard it yet, but it is a pretty decent interview with Hurney. He talks about the WR situation, Clausen, Fox, who to blame for the failures so far, and some other stuff as well.
Steve Reed over at Carolina Growl already posted this, but figured it would be good to put it here for those of you who might not have seen or heard it already. FYI it's a little lengthy at 23 minutes.
More Bad News for the Panthers
Things are going from bad to worse for us all now.
Hurney possibly scouting Browns DT Corey Williams
Not sure if you guys have heard this yet, but according to the Charlotte Observer (who got this from a Cleveland paper; great job there huh?) Hurney was in Cleveland tonight scouting Corey Williams.
This could be the guy the Panthers want as a veteran DT. He has played DE for the Browns in their 3-4 scheme, but hasn't done very well at that position. Just curious to see what you guys think of a possible trade, and if you want us to get him, who or what would you trade for him?
Thank You Canes, and screw the NHL
I think we all feel the same way about what happened yesterday. We all felt some anger, disappointment, and possibly some sadness to see the Canes season come to an end. But overall, this season was not but an absolute success. These Carolina Hurricanes persevered over some of the worst odds a team could possible face: new coach in the middle of a season, underachieving, and no identity.
Then Paul Maurice came and turned this team around. Even in March, so called experts were counting the Canes out of the playoffs, but of course, they proved them all wrong. They made the playoffs and took on both the Devils and the Bruins, two teams that "we just weren't going to beat." We defied them all again, before ultimately falling the Penguins, who played a great series and throughly beat us (so congrats to them).
This team made a damn proud fan. And to be honest, I have never been more proud of this team. Even when they won the Cup, I was a new fan, and didn't quite grasp how much it meant to us all. To see this team, that even I left for dead in November (I'll be honest here), go from falling apart to a shooting star, to me is amazing.
So I applaud the Carolina Hurricanes, for giving us all a terrific, overachieving season, full of crazy game winning goals and amazing saves from Wardo. I look forward to next season, where hopefully the SE division will be ours, and we won't have to travel so much.
THANK YOU CANES!!!!!
Now for my issue with the NHL: after the end of game 4, I was very happy to hear all of the fans applauding the team for all they had done this season. And I was hoping to see the Canes be able to raise their sticks to the audience, even in defeat, to show their appreciation as well.
But much to my surprise, the Canes were hurriedly whisked away, mind you in their own stadium, so that Crosby could raise the Prince of Whales trophy. Now I'm not sure who is on charge of these procedures (perhaps if Bubba, Cory, or Scott could clarify this for me), but whoever is a complete *******. They could have waited just 30 sec to one minute for the Fans to applaud their team after the game, but just couldn't wait to give Crosby the trophy. To me that just shows how much of a careless bunch of people run the NHL, and I truly hope something will be done about that in the future.
Can ESPN just once make an unbiased attempt at sports journalism?
Once again, the idiots at ESPN are poking at the Canes. Bill Simmons, a writer for ESPN, wrote this article, condemning Scott Walker and his "sucker punch" of Aaron Ward (talking crap about how "Walker Must Pay" for what he did, even though Ward was fine). A few things with this article:
1) Not only does this add more evidence to the fact that ESPN runs nothing but a biased group of sports writers that love to dig up old news and make a big deal out of it,
2) IT IS OLD NEWS!!! This happened days ago in Game 5 of the Canes-Bruins series, and this guy is still complaining about HIS team losing.
I know many of you already know ESPN is the worst place to go for hockey news much less any hockey analysis (especially when they couldn't even spell Staal's name right [Stall instead of Staal]), but I just wanted to point out the fact that anything you read from ESPN will always be one sided against us. The only person over there who honestly believes the Canes could do anything this postseason was Berry Melrose, so props to him for giving the Canes some love.
So once again, I realize this is probably old news to you guys as well, but I just wanted to show how much of a loser this Bill Simmons is. He is much like the guy in Boston who called us all "goobers".
... and this one was just painfully obvious...
This just came to me...
