Nuff said. Bigger version here.
But according to the suit, Brooking "realized he would not be able to meet his obligations" to Wells Fargo ... and secretly embarked on a "systematic effort to hinder, delay and defraud" the bank."
Keith Brooking sued by Wells Fargo.
I'd think the Falcons should at least explore the options here. After all, he stole a lot more than $2MM from us with his poor performance.

Lee came off the bench to direct an 89-yard first quarter scoring drive for Houston Nutt's Stars team for a 14-0 lead over the Stripes in a game that once was called the Blue-Gray All-Star Classic.
Jarrett Lee excels in Senior All-Star game
Good old Jarrett. What a troll.
University of Alabama assistant coach Sal Sunseri has been offered a position as the defensive coordinator at Tennessee and is expected to accept the offer, a source confirmed to Tidesports.com.
Sal Sunseri to be new DC at Tennessee
Will be interesting to see how this affects us going forward. In any case, coaching attrition is the price of success. Good luck to him.
Among the specific targets: anyone who "seeks to obtain any type of financial gain or benefit from securing a prospective student-athlete's enrollment at an educational institution or a from a student-athlete's potential earnings as a professional athlete."
Such activity by an agent would render the athlete ineligible.
USAToday: NCAA Closes Cam Newton "Loophole"
Well, this is just fabulous. Never mind the "Is it a loophole?" argument- thanks to Cecil Newton, the NCAA has created the rule that many of us feared they would. Want to make a star recruit ineligible at a rival school? Go to that school and try to sell his services there. By this definition you just became a sports agent acting on his behalf. I can't imagine this being a problem.
Blair Walsh kicks a 42-yard field goal and we’re sitting here feeling great about ourselves," McGarity said.
Georgia AD Greg Mcgarity talking about the Outback Bowl
Anybody else find it strange that the AD would be calling out a player by name for missing a kick? Not sure I've really seen that in college ball before.
In case y'all had some Christmas money burning a hole in your pocket...
The TJ Yeldon Meltdown Thread
Those who are on Twitter saw much worse, but here are a few funny nuggets from Auburn boards to pass the time. Feel free to copy and paste any additional funnies in the comments:
If something fishy is going on, lets find out. Is Daphne in Mobile or Baldwin County? Are their Probate records online for use to view? As in the Calloway situation, look also for slight mispellings of the family name as they hid a tax lien payoff that way in Franklin County. They can always go back and file a correction, long after the fire dies out, or the kid gets processed. Check for mortgage satisfactions or new deeds of record in the next 30 days. Any other public records that can be checked? Anyone work in either county in proximity to the courthouse there?
Switching is fine, but show some class when you do it. This kid's obviously a piece of crap thug.
Hopefully he'll suffer the same fate as Brent Calloway, Dee Hart, and Cyrus K. Yeldon = worthless piece of ****. Yea, I'm "classless" I don't care, f all of them.
This certainly rots. I'm going to love finding the money trail. Right now its hard to tell if he played us or if he was simply paid off. Going to check this out right now.
What is it $puat offers to the kid's families that Auburn doesn't? At least now he gets his 5th star back.
Guess that mortgage got paid off.
Must have recieved his charger. and the school recieved their $200,000 for the upgrades.
Congratulations Alabama, you assholes can cheat and get away with it and Auburn is too much of a pansy to do anything about it.
The little piss ant did the whole thing on purpose and it was time. Alabama is a piece of crap and I hate that school. I hope they go down forever after this crap!
Okay Folks...Where There Is Smoke... there is fire. What we know: 1. Yeldon committed to AU last June and has never publicly waivered. 2. Yeldon takes a visit to bammer and thereafter, his friends post on Facebook that he was offered 200k to come to bammer. 3. A few days ago, bammer boosters start posting online exactly what just happened, i.e., that Yeldon would switch, who would announce it and when. 4. What they predicted just happened exactly in that fashion.
One day they will get sloppy and they will go down in flames. They're getting pretty close...
That is why we need to switch to the SEC East and focus more on Georgia and Florida in recruiting.
Something is very fishy And I hope we don't take it lying down. No one, not even the mighty crimson turd, gets three major flip flops the way they have in the last two classes without some seriously fishy sh!t going down... Cyrus, Calloway, and now Yeldon. ***??? John Thrower must be rolling over in his grave. I cannot believe we don't have a team of private investigators digging up every thing we can on the REC. It's time to take the gloves off. Those scumbags need to be taken down by any means necessary.
The suits, the SUVs, the rims and the HS facility upgrades. The list goes on.
I am tired of the "crying to the NCAA and SEC" posts. Lets get some real investigators involved, not retired professors who are way out of their league when dealing with what appears to be the basis of RICO cases like the University of Alabama Athletic Department.
Finally someone who knows how bammer and the REC operates. The only way updyke was linked to Albert Means was thru the RICCO investigations into money laundering. PBJ and his many companies are the prime source for many of the REC needs. PBJ is just the latest in a long line of updyke bankers!
This is how bammer does it. You take a kid that is not necessarly a good player but his parents are big supporters and have assets. Then you room him with a five star recruit that has nothing. The next thing you know the kid with assets lets the five star borrow his Escalade anytime he wants. Then the kid just so happens to leave hundred dollar bills on his desk and what do you know? " They vanish" Actually you do not have an NCAA violation.
It's past time we went nuclear winter on the whole lot of them. Starting with Steve Savarese and the cronies he left behind at Daphne, through the SEC hq's, and straight into that cesspool in tuscaloosa.

2012 recruit Adam Griffith kicks four FGs in state championship
Playing in the biggest game of his life, he had a long of 46 and nailed a 32-yard game winner in OT. Any chance we can get this kid in uniform by January 9?

Sad news out of Fayetteville. No details released at this point, but a mention that Alabama was one of several teams recruiting him a couple years ago.
Does it matter if your quarterback can’t throw long with any success? Of Keating’s top 10 deep passers, eight preside over teams with winning records. Of the 10 lowest-ranked deep passers, only one plays for a winning team — Matt Ryan. This would seem to indicate that the Falcons are doing it the hard way.

Not that they were going anywhere to begin with, but the road just got a little tougher for the 'Cocks.
We must schedule this guy's team. Raving lunatic.
Alabama said they are going to stay committed to him. That’s a good thing, you know, when a team will stick by a guy who is injured."

Just How Good is Craig Kimbrel?
With Craig Kimbrel tying the all-time rookie saves record, not to mention leading all of MLB in that category, thought I'd have a look at some of his stats and compare them with his peers in 2011 (like he has any.) There are exactly twenty players who have 30 or more save opportunities this season. Among those, Craig compares very favorably in pretty much every important category. He is:
Twitter Handles?
Aight, everybody. A post like this one may have been made before but if it was I never saw it, so forgive me. I've had a Twitter account for awhile now and have done basically nothing on there, but some of the regulars on here seem to have some fun with it. Figured I'd start a thread where those who were comfortable doing so could share their handle to create a big 'ol RBR Tweetin' fest. You can find me if you like @JChath8. Anyone else?
Editor note: Given the response to this we've made it the RBR twitter team request thread. If you are a regular commenter on the site and would like to be listed on our RBR Regulars Twitter list, please post your Twitter name in the comments below. This way we aren't adding folks who would prefer their personal Twitter account to stay private.

"Cost of Attendance" Scholarships?
With three teams – Arkansas, Alabama and LSU – as legitimate national championship contenders, it’s shaping up to be another monster year in the SEC West.

Green Bay's title and CFB playoffs
Now that both seasons are over and champions crowned, let’s take another look at the NFL playoff system vs. the college bowl system. It seems to me that this season offers a great example of the fundamental differences between the two.
In the college game, you had two teams from big conferences go undefeated, each earning a berth in the National Championship Game. This put great importance on every single regular season game since, as it turned out, one loss eliminated everyone else. The downside is that these two didn’t play the champions from other conferences, so we’ll never really know if they were the two best teams.
In the NFL, neither team that played in the Super Bowl had the best regular season record in their conference. The Green Bay Packers became league champions after barely qualifying for the playoffs the last week of the season. They won the championship on the field but, finishing with a 14-6 (.700) record, does this mean they are a better team than the 14-3 (.823) New England Patriots?
I have long advocated for a playoff system in college football, but I’m not sure I’m comfortable with the eighth-best regular season team out of thirty-two (and tied with five others at that) being crowned champions. Does Green Bay winning the title change your perspective at all?

Parallels between 2010 Alabama and 1990 Miami
Celebrating New Year's Day while watching our beloved Crimson Tide dismantle the undermanned troop from East Lansing brought to mind a few similarities to the college football season from twenty years ago. The 1990 season was a unique one, ending with a split national championship between two schools who hadn't enjoyed much modern-era football success in Colorado and Georgia Tech. Growing up as a kid in Georgia and witnessing the vitriol between UGA and Tech folks, I recall vividly the UGA faithfuls' constant assertion of Tech's unworthiness. While some argued that the entire title should have gone to Colorado, many pegged the Miami Hurricanes as the best team in the country. That Miami team was similar in many ways to the Alabama team we saw in 2010.
The Hurricanes entered the 1990 season carrying national championship expectations, having won the 1989 title after besting Alabama 33-25 in the Sugar Bowl. Many prominent starters returned for the 1990 season including QB Craig Erickson, WRs Randal Hill and Wesley Carroll, OT Leon Searcy, and the top overall pick in the 1991 NFL draft in DT Russell Maryland. Coming into the season ranked number one, fans of "the U" had reason to believe a repeat was in order.

What say you about TCU?
Could the TCU Horned Frogs be the best in the land? It seems that Thayer Evans at Fox Sports believes that the AP voters should deem TCU national champions on the heels of their impressive win over Wisconsin. Many here, myself included, have suggested that beating a hot Wisconsin team would be an uphill battle for TCU and a great accomplishment. Mountain West schedule notwithstanding, would you support the Horned Frogs winning a split national title this season?
