Anyone know anything about this? This guy is listed as 6'1" and 335 lbs. Right now I haven't seen a concrete source other than the link provided. Anyone?

The Mothership also reported the signing of UFA Sabby Piscitelli at the same time that Brandon Carr signed. He was a 2nd round pick by TB in 2007.

Former Chief moving from Lions to Saints. Hope it works out for Turk in New Orleans.

Week 2 versus the Lions will be a real test for our young O-Line! I'm sure they will be up to the test, but still a big challenge.

Joel or Chris

Can you guys put a link over here on the side for the list of KC draft interests? Thanks.

From Yahoo's Winners/Losers of the week:
- Arizona Cardinals
Wideout Larry Fitzgerald(notes) has quietly strung together three straight solid weeks, but as the Cardinals continue to slide, there will be more talk about his unhappiness. He made no secret of his admiration for former coach Todd Haley heading into this week’s loss to the Chiefs. It has been known for a while that he’s not happy with the quarterback situation in Arizona. His contract is up after 2011 and he can’t be stuck with a franchise tag. So make no mistake, the Cardinals are playing to retain their best player, too.

So would the Chiefs make a play for Fitz after 2011? I hope so!

Good article! Gives me a different thought on the whole situation. It is really nice to know that the Chiefs are becoming a true team.

What the Chiefs can take pride in coming out of this game is their improving defense. McGraw’s play was an example of what the Chiefs did right all day. Manning completed 26 of 44 passes for 244 yards and no touchdowns. His average of 5.5 yards per attempt was his lowest of the season. He had averaged 7.9 yards per attempt during the first four games.

I know it is really early for these, but this is interesting. Sporting News writer Russ Lande has our last victory opponent getting the number 1 pick and the Chiefs at #30! Boy would that be awesome!!!!!

San Francisco (-2 ½) at Kansas City – So Alex Smith picks apart a Saints’ defense in prevent mode, and suddenly all’s right in 49ersville? Mistake-prone teams do not win in Arrowhead. Pick: Chiefs +2 ½

I'm not saying get rid of him, but his play so far has me worried. I think that is all that most of us are trying to say. Thank goodness for our DEFENSE and SPECIAL TEAMS!

Don't know if this has been posted before, but since we are all loving some Dex, here's DMC freestyle rappin' at Rookie camp. He's DMC, #22 from Kansas City!

During the offseason, the Chiefs hired new coordinators on both offense and defense, which should tell you — in the clearest possible terms — that everything is broken.

Thormans' please create a podcast!

Does anyone know of any good podcasts for the Chiefs related news? Thorman Bros. I beg you to start one! I live in Germany and am only able to download Farzin Vousoughian's Chiefs Zone podcast for my Zune. Now it is alright, but he needs a partner to keep the show flowing correctly. I think a weekly Arrowhead Pride podcast that can be downloaded would be AWESOME!

Arrowhead Pride Can an Offensive Lineman transition to NT?

This post is more to just generate discussion, but I am wondering what is the likelihood of the Chiefs taking one of their big OL that is possibly not going to make the team and seeing if they would work out as a future NT?

I am far from an expert at what makes a real quality NT, but from reading a lot on here, I am guessing that the prototype that we are looking for is around 6'1"-6"3" and above 310 pounds, ideally 320-340 pounds.  Which the height aspect crushes my proposal with some of the so-so OL lineman that we have, but still for the sake of argument and discussion, I will continue.

Here's a list of our current OL, excluding the rookies and try-out guys.

Jermail Porter 6'5 310
Barry Richardson 6'6 319
Colin Brown 6'7 335
Branden Albert 6'5 316
Daryl Harris 6'4 300
Ryan O'Callaghan 6'7 330
Thomas Gafford 6'2 250
Ikechuku Ndukwe 6'4 325
Rudy Niswanger 6'5 301
Ryan Lilja 6'2 290
Brian Waters 6'3 320
Casey Wiegmann 6'2 285

From this list, we can exclude Branden Albert, Ryan O'Callaghan, Ryan Lilja, Brian Waters, and Casey Wiegmann, which is who we expect to be our OL starters next season.

Looking at our largest linemen at 310 pounds or above we have, Jermail Porter, Barry Richardson, Colin Brown, and Ikechuku Ndukwe.  Now taking my height requirement (listed above), everyone is out of the running, but Ndukwe is the shortest of all the possibilities at 6"4".  I like Colin Brown due to his size, but his height is a huge negative from what I have read on other posts.  Plus I still hope Brown has a chance at making the active OL roster.

Jermail Porter 6'5 310
Barry Richardson 6'6 319
Colin Brown 6'7 335
Ikechuku Ndukwe 6'4 325
Rudy Niswanger 6'5 301

Right now we have Ron Edwards, Shaun Smith, Dion Gales, and UDFA Garrett Brown (who could end up being out starting NT if he has a good camp and impresses the coaches), but if none of these guys work out ideally, would it hurt for the Chiefs to look at an OL transitioning to play NT?

So could someone like Ndukwe make the transition to a spot like NT?  He's a lineman, so he knows what the NT is trying to accomplish, so would it work?  If you already have the big guys at camp and if they end up on the chopping block, then why not give them a chance by suggesting a switch?

"Hey, you're in the Super Bowl your first year," Daniel said Tuesday. "Are you kidding me? It's sort of like a dream come true. I'm two steps away from playing. I'm on the active roster for the Super Bowl. I'm dressing out. I've got to practice as well as I can."

Arrowhead Pride Chiefs #5 Pick in Round 1, Who should they take?

Well I have been watching a lot of mock drafts this season, reading a lot of scouting reports, and reading who the fans think we need.  So I am putting up a poll that is asking the readers and fans of Arrowhead Pride about what KC should do in the draft with their first pick.  First I have compiled a list of players that I see picked for the Chiefs in most mock drafts.  Those players are Russell Okung, Eric Berry, Dez Bryant, Terrance Cody, Rolando McClain (which I agree with), and Anthony Davis.  I will go over the needs of the Chiefs and a quick run down of all the players in the poll after the jump.

Poll
Who do you think the Chiefs should draft with their #5 pick in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft?

The Chiefs have money and this would solve our KR/PR problem. Would Cribbs be worth the money?

"CLEVELAND (AP) -- Pro Bowler Josh Cribbs believes it is "unlikely" he'll play another game for the Cleveland Browns. Insulted by the Browns' latest contract offer, Cribbs intends to clean out his locker.

"It's unlikely the way they're talking right now," said Cribbs, stung by the team's latest $1.4 million annual offer. "I'm hurt because I don't want to play for nobody else. But the way they're talking, they're leaving me no choice."

Arrowhead Pride Any news on a D. Bowe trade to Balitmore?

Oct 17 There are unsubstantiated rumors that the Ravens would be willing to send a second- and fifth-round pick to the Chiefs for Bowe, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Recommendation: Ravens' coach John Harbaugh didn't rule out his team making a deal prior to Tuesday's deadline, but he of course didn't mention Bowe specifically. At this point, the Bowe talk is strictly a rumor and nothing appears imminent, as appealing as a deal like this might be for Ravens' backers.

-this comes from Rotowire

I think D. Bowe is worth more than that...at least a first round pick!  I doubt this is true, but anyone have any word on it?  I sure hope something like this doesn't happen.
