Masoli done?
Apparently on Canzano's show this afternoon, he stated that he had insider information from the university that "the knee injury was a lot worse then expected and that he could be done for the year." I think it's absolute bullshit to be frank. But still, I need the truth!
Nate and USA
it seems like Nate McMillan gets no love for his contributions to USA basketball. Just saying. I hardly see anything about him being an assistant coach. Anybody agree? And why?
Critics
We lost the game. But since when do we start playing the blame game with the coach and Steve Blake? Yeah I screamed at him to as soon as he left that fly, but he did what we needed him too. Which was to play efficiently and smart for 99% of the game. I'll tell you one thing, he makes that and we praise him. If Rudy takes it and misses we crucify him.
My point isn't to analyze his mistake, its to question the people who thinks it their place to pass judgement on the Portland players and coaching staff. Its not your place too, thats why your a fan and their Pro.
I've long thought that no fan base in the NBA even comes close us. We're the best, plain and simple. Lets keep it that way.
"Never judge a man's actions until you know his motives"
His motive was to win the game.

Byrd is gone
Okay, it's official now. Jarius Byrd is gone. Going to the NFL. I'm not sure yet how much this will hurt the Duck's secondary, but it obviously will. Willie Glasper and Jackson are okay but not at Jarius's level at all. I do think Talmadge Jackson has the slight edge over Willie Glasper. It feels like Glasper has been around forever, or maybe that's just me. At least we still have Walter III. Is there any silver lining to this or is it just plain disappointing? How much will this affect our aspirations of winning the Pac-!0?
Question
Is it just me or does Lagarrette Blount really have trouble running against any kind of effective defense. I keep trying to tell myself that he doesn't, but the more i think about it the more i think it is true. He is capable of running all over weak defenses but I remember he really really struggled against USC and last week he was totally shut down by Cal. Does anybody else notice this will be a problem in the future? Is it possible that he is still getting used to the Spread or is he not as good as he appears? Give me some feedback.

Big Recruit
I know that right about now everyone is going crazy about duck football being back but word on the streets is, is that basketball player; John Wall (the number one point guard and overall player in the class of 2009) is taking an offical visit to Oregon. The visit is supposed to be October 3rd. Personally I think this is really exciting news and that it goes to show that Ducks basketball is on its way up even more. It also shows that while Ernie may not be the best in-game coach ever, he sure as hell can recruit. Wall seems like a pretty down to earth guy so I really hope this is not another Terelle Pryor rollar coaster ride.
