Pretty stoked. It had to be done. Cheesy PS-job I know.
Featured story on Yahoo's NBA Home page. Gotta love it.
"It makes you feel terrible," Roll said. "Wearing those four letters across your chest, it’s a pride thing and when the fans are booing, it’s not good at all. We just need to do 10 times more than we’re doing now so that doesn’t happen."
NBATV's "Real NBA" show highlights Tyreke and other notable rookie PGs
I'm catching the tail end of this while I post this but I think every Kings fan would be interested in catching this if they have NBATV. NBA.com says it's on tomorrow at 3pm PST but my DirectTV guide says it's on at 2pm. Check your local listings.
This has a really good segment on Tyreke with highlights of his best performances in a Kings uniform. It also includes interviews from Peaches, Coach Westphal and Kevin Martin. Hope you all get a chance to see this!
Cowbell Kingdom breaks down why 'Reke should be ROY
An excerpt from this very pro-Evans article:
Now, here are the areas that Evans excels over Jennings:
- 44.6% from the field compared to Jennings’ 42.8%.
- 46.5% on two-point shots compared to 41.5% for Jennings.
- 5.0 rebounds per game to Jennings’ 4.0 per contest.
- 1.33 steals per game to Jennings’ 1.18 thefts per night.
This was also the featured article featured on BDL's 'Ten Man Rotation'.
Coach W just said Tyreke Evans looked fine in shootaround this morning and he expects him to play tonight.
Lakers booed at home in 101-91 loss to Rockets
This felt so good to watch and feels even better when you read the headline to this article.
Aaron Brooks went off for 33 points and rocked 5 threes in an awesome win for Adelman and his Rockets.

Casspi Practices, Teamwork Shines
"I look at Coach (Pete) Carril," Westphal continued. "And when he sees them really moving the ball, or diving on the floor or just laying it on the line, he almost gets a little tear in his eye, and I’m not being melodramatic. Coaches love to see effort and teamwork. I think fans do too, so I think it means a lot to everybody."

Today when coach stated "practice tomorrow is at noon" and Omri replyed with "what's noon?" It sparked an entire team laugh...

Charley previews the Kings and the rest of the Pacific
Foxsports' Charley Rosen declares JT a 'solid role player', Tyreke a 'top-of-the-line rookie' and claims that Kevin is injured often due to his 'marshmallow-soft skills'. Of course, he predicts the Lakers to win it all.
'Cisco drops five threes in loss to Scola and Co.
Cisco hit a clutch three with 5 seconds to go in overtime to bring the DR within 1 point (88-87). Unfortunately, Argentina held on to win the game. The DR could have won this game if they made a few crucial freethrows near the end of regulation. The DR plays Uruguay in the quarter final round on Tuesday. Go 'Cisco!
'Cisco, FIBA Americas and the worst uniforms in the world.
From the Painted Area: "Couldn't the NBA boys spring into their pockets and place an order for proper game gear. I used to find better jerseys in the $3 irregular bins at the Champion Factory Outlet back in the day."
(From The Painted Area via BDL)
According to rookies, Tyreke is barely in the ROY conversation.
This was a survey of 35 NBA rookies. Our man, 'Reke, doesn't seem to have as much hype when it comes to the rookie class. Here's one of the questions -
Which rookie is most ready to contribute right away?
1. Blake Griffin, L.A. Clippers -- 37.1 percent
2. Jonny Flynn, Minnesota -- 17.1 percent
3. Tyreke Evans, Sacramento -- 14.3 percent
"The Kings feature a roster full of flawed players."
Good ol' Charlie Rosen at Foxsports projects the Kings to be one of the NBA's seven worst teams. He was right one the money last year. I hate it when he's right.
"Tyreke Evans - the biggest, strongest, most devastating..."
After one summer league game, Kevin Arnovitz gives much praise to Evans but wonders if he can be an effective PG.
NBATV instant analysis on Tyreke.
Bruce Pearl and Steve Smith have nothing but good things to say about our new PG. It's always nice to hear the opinion of a top-tier coach who actually competed against Tyreke this past season.
