The Immaculate "Deception"

As a RAIDER Fan since the early 1970's, I have always felt Oakland was clearly robbed, and most importantly a chance to win another Division Title! Tatum stood firm in his testimonials in his Biography's and NFL Films seems to not have him on camera making a comment about the hit and subsequent completion. In the best shot even with digital restoration and close-up with enhanced imagery and slow mo, the ball cannot be clearly seen hitting Fuqua. Nor can you see the ball hitting the ground, both which would be ruled a incompletion. So therefore the play was allowed to continue resulting in the TD. What should of happened is that the refs should of whistled the play dead after Harris re-caught the pass. Then ruled that without a determination, Steeler Ball where Harris caught it. If that would happened, we would not be where we are 40 years later still trying to make a decision of what happened. But never-the-less, I feel the RAIDERS were robbed, great play by Tatum to dislodge the ball. Another interesting note is that Tatum was so sure they won the game that he cracked open a bottle of Champaign on the sidelines only to see Harris in the endzone! I feel that the play should be called "The Immaculate -Deception!

Watching the J.E.T.S. gets massacred last night, I have to thank the Sports Press in general for giving the Raiders a "free pass" this year. A replacement Owner, new GM. new Head Coach and Coordinators.. and a retired Quarterback starting his first Full Season with Oakland, well what did you expect!

Nobody in Football has the problems the J.E.T.S. have so it kind of makes sense to lay off of us expecially after that Baltimore debacle.

Will Palmer finish the Season?, Will the Raiders sign a lease to play in the Rose Bowl? Will Chucky return and save our butts? These are the questions I would ask the Raiders.

In the meantime, if and only if the return of Palmer to Cincy goes bad, real bad then we need to take drastic measures to ensure our Raiders Voices are heard!

If it worked for The Howard Beal Show, it will work for us!

"Inspirations from across the Bay!

"I grew up in San Jose so I'm neutral as far as the hostility towards the Niners by us Raider's. But I have been a life-long "Giants" fan!

Is it possible to get some "inspiration" happening from a team that has been in their Championship twice in Three Years!

Is not that the way of The Raiders to be what we once were?

With all this Winning going down around us, well why the hell not us too?

I have never in my life seen such a competitive Bay Area!

Other than that mess against The G-Men, the Niners look pretty good again, and what about those SF Giants! Back in the Series and its going to be hard to stop that Locamotive!

Back to Oakland.. I know Raiders hate to compare especially rivals but maybe, just maybe some of this good fortune can rub off on us.

The Chiefs are dead meat and Denver may lose and god knows how the Bolts will respond after that ass-whipping they just took, so the Raiders could find themselves a game or less out of first place in the WEST!

I know after Jacksonville, its looks pretty damn scary, but overtime wins are huge and something to help us build up the team we want to see playing well each week. It seems like our Identity Crisis is becoming more of getting the right players in the right position to be successful. If it takes Allen all year to do that, so be it!

But the Raiders firstly must have a little good luck, and "Inspiration from across the Bay" cannot be a bad thing for sure.

"And what did this Raider fan do when The Packers cried themselves off the field Monday night? I laughed like hell because it was due time another team suffered just like the Raiders have suffered from bad calls their entire Team History!

Do I have to mention "The Immaculate "Deception" in which was the the first worst and still most talked about bad call in the History of Pro Football... and then of course even when we got the calls to go our way such as The Holy Roller and Ghost of the Post, the next Season rulebooks changed so we could no longer do that again!

And then came that Saturday Night in a Blizzard.. you may call it the Tuckrule Game, I call it The Snowjob and the single worst and biased, yes biased call in the History of Football!

So you see, for Raider fan at least for me.. who cares who is dressed like a Zebra, they are all the same.

Actually I kind of liked the fact the replacements were not calling hits like in the old days. Even the great Jack Tatum may have been left alone to act as a guided missile like he played in the day. Now the regular refs are back to flag us everytime we look at them strange, after all we are The Raiders the most penalized team in the History of man.

I don't know who said that, but it damn well must of been a Raider.

Denver this Sunday, if Mannings ear is gone... I promise not to cry about it. But I will promise that the Zebras with a new contract and pressure to do a good job will be overzelous and I really hope several brawls break out.

Nobody knows notorious bad calls against a single team in the History of the NFL like a RAIDER.. but are we crying about it?

More like getting even!

NFL Films & The Raiders

"With the recent loss of NFL Films Founder and President, I wanted to reflect back on their own reflection of The Raiders!

Starting with John Facenda narration of 'The Autumn Wind', NFL Films in most ways glorified The Raiders and gave Al Davis the attention he most certainly deserved. NFL Film last point was "A Football Life" - Al Davis which was thrown together in the light of the death of our fearless leader. Lest to say, it was done well although did not offer anything new and was basically a miss-mash of old comments and a few new ones from the Raider NFL Films regulars.

Never-th-less NFL Films was uncommon in the day, started because the Filmmaker's thought they needed to expand the horizon of the game that the TV Networks could not do on the field and put Film cameras with sound in places the Audience could never imagine in a game. They did, presented their Films each week on different Networks and became wildly successful.

Their mini-Doc Format with narration and testimonials along with game footage was unheard of. NFL Films put you into the game like never before and attributed to the NFL becoming America's #1 followed Sport. The Sabels will long be remembered throughout time as the fore-father's and on the fore-front of Behind the Scenes videos that we all see now day to day on Sports highlight News. They changed the face of the league giving you the understanding of the game like never before.

Lately they have a agreement with The NFL Network so we can watch their Specials and archival Programming there. But for me, its how they treated The Raiders! With respect!

Michael Lombardi... again!

"When you are a maniac Raider fan and live on the East Coast, I listen to Compass Radio for the games! But new on the NFL Channel, they have a show that cuts into each Pre-Season game this year. Last night I tried to sync both but failed because of the delay on the TV end. So I have to listen to big mouth Sapp and Raider hater, traitor Michael Lombardi critic my Raiders. In speaking of the running game for the Raiders after the Mcfad. TD, his says this; "Don't run the football in the NFL, it will only get you 3 points! You need to pass the ball up the field and that will win you games! Now let me say this to that absurd idiotic comment. "Mr. Lombardi, did you ever see Jim Brown? I mean WTF! This double chinned fake suit and tie man for the league belongs in the front office of the NFL or even as a patsy for The NFL Players Association. He speaks of players in the NFL as it they are commodities and the League is some sort of stock market and he is advising what and how many shares of what stock to buy. I hate his analysis with a passion and when Big Al died, the a-hole said 2 words. He hates the Raiders and we threw his butt out of our front office and now he is a heavy with the NFL Network and that is why we don't hear or see very much about our team on the Network. Last night Sapp said the Raiders will be better if Palmer is more accurate. I could not agree more and even this slob is starting to get back and come over to our side. But then Lombardi says; "Well really its about the number 2 guy, lets not wish Carson gets hurt but #2 is a check down expert and that is all he is." Its big trouble if Palmer goes down. And I scream, get off my air... because he has no clue! He continues to wish that the Raiders fail and the only thing I can wish for is that when we are in the Superbowl a Raider fan punches this guy in the face! The NFL Network act like nobody is watching. They act as the junior league cabler they really are. They put so called experts on the air that belong in other jobs. Listening to our great broadcast team of Papa, Flores and Plunket and then listening to the analysis Michael Lombardi was giving was like there were two different games I was watching. And I will finish by saying that Lombardi says that Pryor is a rookie and just runs around and if he can't find receiver #1 then we runs! I hope to the good lord, the Raiders can shut this guy's mouth for good. Nobody needs to get off the air forever than this Raider hater clown of a so-called Broadcaster which by the way he had no experience when he got the damn job. I hate this man!!! MNF & Chucky

"I think it very important to note that a job like color analyst on Monday Night Football does not come around very often and they have a consistant team now for a few years. But I also think you have to closely evaluate the jobs they do if you are ESPN. Chucky seems to be content in the broadcasting booth. And god knows what happens to every new coach in the NFL when they lose a few games. After the tuck-rule game and the trade to the Bucs, he was in his home town Tampa and seemed to be getting along just fine expecially after winning a Superbowl. But his demise as coach was ugly, you really had to be in Florida to see just how ugly and he quit the biz for awhile. Luring a guy with his experience and savvy, waiving money in his face won't help here. MNF pays just as much as a head coaching job on a elitist team in the NFL. So he would have to come to the Raiders for his love for the game, a return to coaching and to be part of the Raider Nation again! Quite frankly, I don't see any of this happening. Again, he seems to be content right where he is in life. Ask yourself; "Would you return to the Raiders right now as in flux as they are? "Would you want to start over with a team with all the fixes needed or rather a team with all the fixes in place. But influences like Madden and Reggie could intice a interview so I won't give up for now. But in reality, I think a coach will come from the packers which makes the best sense seeing the influences of Reggie. If "Chucky" does come back, I hope our his first game is on the road with the Pats! Now that would make a great story!

"Stormy Monday Blues!

"So we finally heard the truth come out after this disaster.. Huey is "sick" of covering up for our players! Funny that he waits until after the Season is over to mention this. What the hell can you say about Chuck B.... either he goes and take along "bad luck steeler" Woodson with him down the highway or let Huey call the defense! What a mess, all year it was same progressive downturn and faltering defensive schemes that led to late scores, ties and wins by damn near every opponent we played! If you are going to truly evaluate a job, then he is gone and hopefully out of Oakland forever!

Palmer just stated: "It will be a long off-season". What the hell does that mean? You just had the shortest season in your history and although did a admirable job, he needs to get with the program of becoming the true leader of our offense. Either that happens or we need to bring back Jason to fight for his job back. But I do applaud Carson for rising to the occasion when he needed to most this year and to be put in the position he was, well lets just say he has won the job!

I also applaud "Mark Davis" for everything he did to hold the Raiders together after the tragic loss of Al Davis. The fire will always burn bright in Oakland, in tribute to a incredible football mind.

But all of these tributes and memorials and so-call devine intervention could not help us to make a stop when we needed to make a stop! Maybe Dallas will fire Ryan and we could bring him back... I don't know what to think right now. But what we need is a in your face D-Coordinator that is not afraid to bench a player if they screw up! A guy that knows how to stop a offense, that guy ain't the guy we presently have.

8-8 means your average.. no better than last season. But for sure we showed signed of brilliance and superstar ability and I don't think I need to mention anymore names here.... ok just one more, thank you seabass for fighting though your injuries and now getting the opportunity to play in the pinnapple fields of Hawaii! Man you deserve that..

Another season, another season lost.. and bleeding Silver & Black is getting worse, not better! Thanks Silver & Black Pride for allowing my comments here, being born in San Jose I was in the day both a Raider and 49er fan and that won't change during this year's playoffs. So, I know this is very hard to say... GO Niners!

"I ask a simple question: "Can the RAIDERS survive when the whole World is against them? Can they simply turn off all this negative sports media against them? Do they hear these outragious comments aimed at our Team? Do they I ask? And if so, can a RAIDER be adversely changed by these hiarchy's of the sports press and media-readers?

Now I say this; "If our Coaching Staff does not take these young players aside and tell them a thing or two about listening to "the noise" and ignoring it, it may get to our young players and it is also up to Carson and King Richard to lend a slight hand and to finese these young men to the finer points and harsh realities of the NFL game. Its not played in a TV Studio, its played in front of thousands on real grass on Sunday!

I actually heard somebody pick the RAIDERS and they also picked the Chiefs.. it was a stand-in Sports Radio Jock on ESPN. Never heard of the guy quite frankly... and now I just read Peter King whom has picked the RAIDERS all year, but not this Sunday!

I don't care about Penalities anymore.. because that is what everyone seems to be discussing. The "Bully" must come to fruition and carry us on! There was a great scene played by Gregory Peck in a old Sci-Fi Movie once where he says: "Men, its time we put away the sliderules and think of a way out of this situation on our own! Well everyone on these boards have offered logical and technical football advise, I now offer this; "Do whatever you have to do to "JUST WIN BABY!

"Turn on The NFL Channel! DIRECT TV Channel 212! Now just watch for maybe 2 minutes, any RAIDER sightings? OK, Watch for the next 6 hours, any RAIDER sightings? Wait... I just heard a snipet on the so-called Coaches Show that our RAIDERS have no chance against the Bolts.. why, because the Bolts are out to save Turner's job! HUH... I think maybe it s little late for ol' Norv to be turning it around dudes! Now, lets watch for anymore RAIDER sightings, OH-NO... NOT SAPP AGAIN, Raiders have no hope, no chance of winning! Hey a glimmer of hope, from the Rich Eisen Podcast, Norv may not be out as expected, so the RAIDERS will get a beatdown anyway because the Bolts are mad about all their blunders this year. Hey, wait just a minute did I actually hear this; Big ears, big mouth and fat slob say KC hate the RAIDERS so much, they will throw the game just to make sure its not our RAIDERS advancing! Now, have I heard everything? So Orton (the only guy to beat the Pack this year) goes into Donkey-Land and throws 12 interceptions and fumbles away the game! Because he was told to do so and even given a bonus to do so! Yes, that is what will happen RAIDER Fans... for damn sure if you watch the crap being hurled at us.

We have all got to "TURN OFF THE NOISE" and beat the liv'in crap out of the Bolts and move on and then beat the crap out of the Ravens.. then The Steelers, then the Pack in the Superbowl! Then we are again World Champs! Well at least I'm the only one that believes that a devine agenda and intervention exists between big AL and Huey! Fantasic scenarios beyond the field of play!

"Since I have read through so many scenarios of just how the RAIDERS need to improve on the Field, I thought it now a good idea to paint a realistic but fantastic picture of what just happened to Oakland this season ouside the lines per say."

Realizing this is the tribute season to Al Davis and post the -Devine Intervention game- in Texas, I have a new conclusion of all this thought about him looking down and guiding us; "Just maybe he didn't make it quite yet to Heaven and we are being led forth not by a devine force but an evil one." If this is the case, then we need to re-define; "Welcome to the Darkside"

Now Rod Woodson leaving the NFL Channel to take the job as a backfield and or cornerback coach is interesting. The fact is he went into the NFL Hall of Fame as a Steeler. The RAIDERS have always seperated themselves from anything that is Black & Gold! Although, one damn great player in his day.. having one of the all time best Steeler's on the sideline for the RAIDERS a good idea? I say... no man, get rid of him immediately and our luck will change! NO STEELERS SHOULD EVER BE ALLOWED NEAR THE RAIDER COACHING STAFF AND TEAM OFFICE!

Speaking of the NFL Channel, people like Michael Lombardi (x-RAIDER GM), Warren Sap (x-did nothing for the RAIDERS lineman) as well as Jalwalrus Russell, Dion Sanders and a few others including Bob Costas have been rooting publically against the RAIDERS this season. Making damn sure we get limited media time.. Lombardi is the worst that constantly is combative when the RAIDERS are brought into conversation and very secretive as well. He said maybe two words about Big Al when he left our world and the Bob Costas rant about Mr. Davis had me nearly boycotting NBC Forever! And then there is Sapp, this big fat red-neck nothing has been a pain in the ass for the RAIDERS, a utter joke but the Cable Networks keep throwing him in our faces.. trashing the RAIDERS constantly!

On the way to Miami, Carson Palmer decides on the day of game, taped a day before the game NFL Channel interview with "Mooch". BAD LUCK! Thats all I can say... Mooch stays the hell away from any comments about Oakland and it was nice to hear that Palmer has 50 million cash in the bank, hates UCLA and hates the Steelers even more and never wanted to retire! He said this the day of his signing and the Mooch interview backed it all up. I hope to christ the RAIDERS bring in Jason and they both battle for the job next season no matter what the current contractional agreement is with Jason. He deserves another chance for sure. Face it, we went into a panic mode.. gave away a first rounder and got a Quarterback that throws picks like I have never seen before.

Now the topper of all bad luck seasons; The RAIDERS new Marketing team have decided to attempt to make us the 49ers. Wine sipping, sushy eating pansies! The PTA we will never be.. but they are destined to change our working class, hard edged and bully image. Bad idea! and Bad Luck! Lastly, the DWI Checkpoints at the Lions Game outside the stadium is preventing what from happening? Please explain: "RAIDER knows that when we get trashed, we always let another RAIDER drive us home! You bet ya.. anothe City of Oakland bright idea.. or maybe its that new RAIDER Image we have to adapt to. BAD LUCK prevails no matter what it is.

Let us be who we are, historically and present! Leave us alone.. we are sick of losing and hearing from the hiarchy losers that hate us! RAIDER Fan is International, we will always prevail no matter how much they want to screw up the Silver & Black.. and finally we will win the Championship again very soon, with or without the help of all that want to keep us down!
