After a couple of hours of reflection, here is what I think, for what it is worth.

1) TTU is 10-1 with a chance to be 11-1 in the most difficult conference this year. Would anyone at the beginning of the year say that a 10-1 season at this point a failure?

2) Our players have really been overacheiving this year and deserve a lot of credit. There are many schools out there with better recruits doing a lot less.

3) We beat Texas!!!! Regardless of what any of their fans say this year, we beat them. That in and of itself makes this nights loss a little easier.

4) As much as I want to win the South and get a BCS birth, I will not be rooting for OSU. I do not want to win the conference by getting in the back door. Then I have to listen to every Texas fan say "the only reason we got the title was because of help". As if that would justify their alleged superiority even more.

5) I am proud of what our team has accomplished this year. If we wind up in the Cotton Bowl, so be it. We go there knowing we are going to unleash hell!

6) Did I mention that we beat Texas?

7) Our drop in the BCS poll will be either to #6 or 7. I am willing to bet we win out (including bowl game) with the likelihood that a couple of teams ahead of us may lose. At the end of everything, I guarantee we will finish in the top five. I know 116 other Div. 1 schools that can't say that.

8) Baylor can't get here fast enough. We need to embarass the heck out of them to get over this loss asap.

Lastly, do we know what time said game is being played?

I go over to ESPN...all the "experts" are picking OU...

I check out the LAJ..and all but 2 of the sportswriters are picking OU...

DMN experts are mostly going OU...

I enjoy the role of the underdog..but man..this is a bit much. Seems a lot of people have very short memories...

I listen to Williams and Hyatt show often..and I heard Don Williams explain why Tech would lose. It still doesn't sit right with me.

Carona's mishaps are a result of poor trajectory. He is unable to get enough lift underneath the ball resulting in blocked PATs. The blocked PAT and the PAT that bounced off the up right were the result of poor kicker execution and nothing else. Also, watch how he kicks the ball on kickoffs.  Most kickoffs are line drives that do not allow our kickoff unit enough time to get down the field for proper coverage. After we we went up 31-24, NU returner Swift got the ball back deep into Tech territory and made tieing the game that much easier.

Carona has got to go. However, Coach Leach will stick with him much to my frustration.
