Pride Of Detroit Stafford

The last two games its seems that Stafford is having some bad accuracy issues. Now I am the first to say that i believe a lot of the problem is a lack of protection in the pocket and no power run game. However that being said i have been noticing more of a side arm throw coming from him these last two games and was wondering if that is perhaps the issue behind the accuracy. I don't know maybe i just didn't notice it before now and i was just wondering if anybody else saw a difference at all. I don't know if he is hurting and has pain rotating his shoulder a certain way right now or what is going on.

Pride Of Detroit Just a few pieces away

The Lions Offense is clicking WITHOUT Stafford, should be even better when he returns. The Defense is improving every game it seems and correct me if i am wrong but we have not lost a game by 2 scores yet have we? Today against the Giants was our worst loss all year (Touchdown and a 2 pt conversion away)

Anyway i really believe we are a CB,LB and RG away from being a Playoff team. Peterman has got to go we need somebody who is not going to false start or give us a hold in the middle of crucial drives. Resign Julian Peterson, Linebackers are a weak link keep this Vet around. Sign Stephen Tulloch, has familiarity with Schwartz and adds to our thin Linebacking corps. Draft Prince Amukamaru and Greg Jones. If a dominate Offensive tackle is there take him but that class looks weak this year. and if you can draft those two guys your Defense should be set.

We aren't to far away

Pride Of Detroit Our Offense is just Offensive

Am i the only one that is frustrated with the lack of Calvin Johnson in the Offense? Why do i have to watch Screen Plays on 3rd and 10?

Why is it that every game so far we see Jahvid Best break out and amaze us all in the first quarter then we hear nothing else until the end of the game (Yes even the Philly Game) or for that matter only see Calvin Johnson in quarter 4?

Im sorry to say it, but Scott Linehan needs to go. And Schwartz needs to change his Tennessee state of mind. I totally understand where your coming from Schwartz, the Titans run, run, run and then they run some more but they also never had the best WR in the NFL either. I totally understand that we haven't seen enough of Nate Burleson to fully judge the offense, he is going to create more openings for CJ and hopefully we will get to see the real offense. Stafford being hurt is a legit excuse. That being said none of this answers my biggest question, which is why the heck we throw screen plays all the time. Not once have i seen a deep shot, and i'm talking over the Safeties bomb shot. Why is it we come out trying to run? Schwartz and Linehan expect everybody to respect Best and this run game, but let's be real there is only one guy Defenses have to respect right now, only one guy who has really proven himself and we all know that is #81. Why don't we come out gunning? Hitting Scheffler and Pettigrew and maybe a Safety will pull off CJ and we can hit him. Oh i almost forgot after you got the Defense on their heels you give it to Best and let him go. Nope instead we let the Defense have 7 in the Box defending the box 1 CB on whoever that guy is on the other side and the other CB and Safeties on CJ. When Kevin Smith returns just run him out there in the Slot and let him go over the middle all the time. Please Please Please Schwartz help us.

Oh and Stafford, Hurry Back.

Bless You Boys Can somebody please tell me why we need so many Utility Players?

Why did Scott Sizemore get demoted while Will Rhymes and Danny Worth are still up here?

Why are Will Rhymes and Danny Worth still up here?

Ramon Santiago,Don Kelly,Ryan Raburn,Danny Worth and Will Rhymes are all utility players are they not? they are not supposed to be everyday players correct? am i missing something? Why do we keep Scott Sizemore and Brent Dlugach down in the minors and keep these guys on the roster? Seriously i am completely dumbfounded. Is it because Jim Leyland thinks "They play Baseball how it should be played"?

Seriously the loss of Guillen and Inge shouldn't hurt us all that much specially since we have Peralta now i mean he will probably give us Inge type numbers at the plate and in the field. Guillen looks terrible in the field so you downgrade a little on offense, so what? Maggs hurts the most but maybe Frazier can add a punch to the lineup and even fill in at the 3 spot in our lineup.

I say demote Rhymes and Worth and bring up Sizemore and Dlugach they start 2nd and SS and Santiago backs them up. Kelly can back up Peralta at 3rd.

Are Rhymes and Worth really better than Sizemore and Dlugach?

Bless You Boys Trade Deadline?

As we near the Trade deadline i think we should very carefully examine our roster. Look i am of the view that we cannot win this division this year unless we pull off a huge trade, unfortantly i also think is extremely foolish to let a very young Porcello go through a trade and since we are already low in Left handed pitching i think it is also foolish to try to send away Casey Crosby or Andrew Oliver in a trade for anything other than a star Lefty or Hanley Ramirez which both are totally unrealistic so i myself would stay away from trading such pieces period. This is why i think why we are going after Ted Lilly because we wouldn't have to give up much for him. Dambroski wants to win but he also wants to keep our top pieces for the future, and i am sorry but i just don't see us winning without another big bat in the lineup. That is why i am going to say what i am going to say.

With all the teams in the hunt for a playoff spot this year there are very few teams selling and of the teams selling not many have the kind of stuff the buyers want. The Tigers however do have a few pieces who could provide a punch for some other team and with a shortage of these type of players around the Tigers could make out in a deal.

Magglio Ordonez: Why we do it- His contract is up at the end of this year and he is not getting any younger. Yes he does have a great bat right now and his Defense is ok the fact of the matter is he just doesn't have a ton left and its not a sure thing he resigns next year anyway which is why i say we start shopping him. We would probably still have to pay the majority of his contract but it doesn't really bother me cause i think they should just promote Jeff Frazier to take his spot.

Why People would want him- A team could use him as the starting Right Fielder and would get a very nice bat to add to the lineup. A move like this could be the differance between sitting at home watching come October or playing for a ring.

Carlos Guillen: Why we would do it- I believe his contract is up too. He is aging fast and is rapidly declining defensively.

Why people would want him- they can add a strong bat to the lineup and add a guy who could fill in at multiple positions and be a great DH

Those are the main two guys i would shop but i would listen to offers for Bonderman and Gallaraga too.

If i was going to make a trade i would try everything possible to get Ryan Domit and Hanley Ramirez but thats just unrealistic.

Pride Of Detroit My Prediction

Lions Draft

RD 1 : Ndamukong Suh DT Nebraska- Rams have to go QB in order to score points and free up Steven Jackson

RD 2: Sean Withersooon LB Mizzou- To many good players in the first round so he will fall to us in the 2nd. Replaces Ernie Sims

RD 3: Perrish Cox CB OK State- Cornerback, Kick Returner, Lions Draft choice

RD 4: Deji Karim RB Southern Illinois- Not a huge risk here so the Lions chose not to gamble the 2nd rounder.

RD 7: John Conner FB Kentucky- A new Fullback

RD 7: Antonio Brown WR CMU- Competes for the Slot spot

RD 7: Brent Swenson K MSU- Kicker of the future

RD 7: Hall Davis DE- Defensive End Project

Undrafted FAs

Jonathon Crompton QB Tennessee

Free Agents

Keith Bulluck- Starts at Weakside Linebacker for a year or two

Adam "Pacman" Jones- Starting Cornerback

Pride Of Detroit My Draft

There are still a couple of moves the Lions can make. I think that Rob Sims will end up here in Detroit. And i also believe that the Lions are going to wait until after the Draft to make an assessment on Adam Jones and, yes a surprising one, Kieth Bulluck. I am very pleased with the moves that Mayhew has made so far, i think Kyle Vanden Bosch,Corey Williams, and Chris Houston will all have a good contribution to this team on Defense and i think Nate Burleson is going to be a great option opposite Calvin Johnson, it also help us to make Bryant Johnson a weapon in the Endzone, a guy who because of his size could be used as a deep threat or a huge body in the Endzone . I think we do have a somewhat good chance of trading down from the 2nd overall pick, but i still don't think it will happen, but the odds are better than they were.

Ok here are the guys i would draft.

RD 1: Gerald McCoy DT Oklahoma- Very unpopular pick here, but here is why i make it. I do not believe he will be a bust and i believe he is a much better compliment to the DTs on the team now than Ndamakong Suh is. I also don't like the fact that Suh has had knee problems in the past. McCoy has more upside i believe and is a year younger. Also for you people out there who think the pick should be Eric Berry. Eric Berry is a great Safety yes, but we have Delmas back there already and don't need 2 superstar Safetys we just need a great compliment. Look i rate Eric Berry number 5 in my Draft board for the Lions (McCoy,Suh,Williams,Okung,Berry) the top 3 Defensive Tackles are all freaks and are rated as better players than Berry a lot of the time. Also, i think we have a tendency to look at Best Athlete Available rather than Best Player Available.

RD 2: Ryan Matthews RB Fresno State- Yes i know a lot of people say he is just a Homerun hitter, I however disagree. I think he is strong enough to run between the tackles and is also quick enough to hit the outside. I am not a fan of Javid Best at all, i don't think he is tough enough to play between the tackles at all. I also think the Lions are hoping Kyle Wilson or Sean Witherspoon is here when they pick, i just don't know if thats going to happen (If neither is there Bulluck and Jones i perdict will be signed) Earl Thomas if he drops is a strong possibility too.

RD 4: Vladimir Ducasse OG/OT UMass- I think you Draft this guy and have him and Cherilus battle it out in Training Camp for RT and then move the Loser to Right Guard, the move Peterman to the Left side or a backup role. Both Cherilus and Ducasse are Haitian, i think they could develop a good chemistry because of that, which i think espesially on the Offensive Line is a very positive thing.

RD 4: Barry Church SS Toledo- Second year in a row the Lions draft a Safety from the MAC Conference.

RD 5: Greg Hardy DE Ole Miss- I think he will be a Steal here

(I believe we will get another 5th or 4th round pick through a trade or something and take that Kentucky FB they have had in for Visits)

RD 7: Jonathon Crompton QB Tennessee- A Backup QB to compete with Drew Stanton

Pride Of Detroit Mock Draft

Ok while i think Jimmy Clausen still is a strong possibility at No 1 for the Rams i think it is becoming less and less likely. Now if he has a good Pro Day (If he even competes in his Pro Day) things could change. Taking all this into consideration i think the Rams options right now are between Gerald McCoy and Ndamakong Suh. I myself think that McCoy has a little better upside at the moment but i love Ndamakong Suh and his game, i am hoping that the Rams take McCoy No 1 Overall (Making a trade up to the Number 2 pick a very real possibility). that being said i think that the Lions will stay put and take Suh if he is there, unless they can get a pick in the top 10 and another in the top 20 (Seattle. I doubt it will happen though seeing as i still believe Pete Carroll will take Everson Griffin and Taylor Mays) if they could get two picks for there No 2 overall i would target Dan Williams and Eric Berry, but like i said i doubt it will happen.

I think we have a good ability to trade into the 3rd or 4th rounds (Trading Futures or players or what have you)

Pride Of Detroit Lions Offseason

Draft:

RD1-Ndamakong Suh DT

RD2-Kyle Wilson CB

RD-2 Devin McCourty CB (Trade 3rd and 6th and if necessary a future to move into the mid second round)

RD4-Larry Asante SS

RD5-John Jerry OG

RD 5-Joique Bell RB

Free Agency:

Kieth Bulluck LB (Don't be surprised Jim Schwartz was a former Linebackers coach and Defensive Coordinator for the Titans and has nothing but good things to say about him. i don't know if he will be Franchised or whatever but last i looked he was a FA)

Kyle Vanden Bosch DE ( I don't agree that DE is a huge need for us and i hate the idea of drafting a DE in the early rounds. Hunter,Avril,Bryan all showed flashes last year and had no inside help at all the DTs combined had 1 sack, i think if more pressure is put on the QB from the inside our Ends will excell. That being said im not opposed to looking at an upgrade via Free Agency)

Aaron Kampman DE (Probably not a realistic option for us. Love Kampman i think he would start Strongside and Devries on the Weakside and we would have a pretty good DE Rotation behind them)

Jevon Kearse DE (I don't know his status but i think he is a legitimate option)

Kevin Walter WR (I think he would be a nice option in the slot for us)

Josh Bullocks S (Cheap Backup)

Resign:

Larry Foote LB

Jon Jansen OT

Daniel Bullocks (Backup)

Anthony Henry (Backup)

Pride Of Detroit Draft Options

I strongly  believe that St Louis will take Jimmy Clausen with the No 1 overall pick because of Stephen Jackson needing help and a rapidly declining Offense a QB is going to be the Rams No 1 Choice. Look Clausen's attitude reminds me a little of Phillip Rivers or Jay Cutler, in that all 3 are basically jerks on the field but are still excellent leaders and get the job done, St Louis could use this kind of fire on their team. Jimmy Clausen is going No 1 overall.

St Louis can not and will not trade out of the 1st pick, Why would Tampa Bay trade up and sacrifice picks when they have Gerald McCoy as a consolation prize? Seattle won't draft up cause Taylor Mays goes to them with their 1st pick then Everson Griffin to them with there 2nd. San Francisco has a good Defense already and they desprately need a QB so and then they can draft one of the DTs behind Suh and McCoy so there option of getting a top QB and a great Defensive player is better then one Elite DT (They might try to trade up for a QB but that still leaves Suh for us). I doubt that any other team would give up a 1st round this year a 2nd or 3rd Round this year and a 1st Round net year just to get Suh and yes i believe thats what it would take. So no the Rams arent going to Trade their pick.

This all being said, If the unexpected happens i think we go Eric Berry over Gerald McCoy i don't like McCoy myself (Suh and McCoy both play in the Big 12 McCoy had 6 sacks on the year, Suh had 4 1/2 in one game, argueably the biggest game of the year too) but he is big and would be nice to see in a Lions uniform i still would go with Berry though.

Round 1: Ndamakong Suh DT Nebraska-  Duh people, its pretty obvious if he is there we take him, is there any one who says we shouldn't?

if Suh is gone: Eric Berry SS Tennessee- Ok people get it out of your head right now, if we draft him he is not playing CB he is a Safety and a real good one, why does he not play CB for Tennessee? Delmas started his College Career as a Corner, but he is a better Safety, Berry is better as a Safety too.

or: Gerald McCoy DT Oklahoma- More of a project than Suh is but he is still very good, he seems more of a run stuffer though and i think what we need is pressure on the QB from the Inside, but he is still a great pick

Other guys i would consider: Dan Williams,Greg Hardy,Derrick Morgan

Round 2: Patrick Robinson CB Florida State- Good in coverage, good size, some say he is only behind Joe Haden, others say he needs work, which one is it? i don't know, i myself like him but we will see where he is on the Draft board for the Lions

or: Mike Iupati OG Idaho- I would hate this pick myself, but i agree we need a guard and he is the best so if the Lions decide to go with him then alright

or: Jonathon Dwyer RB Georgia Tech- Big and Strong, has good speed for his size, i like that he can break tackles and run people over, should be a nice compliment to what we have already (Smith or Brown). The big question is if he he is good enough for this pick, i personally think so but we won't really know till after the Combine

Others i would consider: Ryan Matthews,Brandon Spikes (if he fell) Rolando McClain (If he Fell) Bryan Bulaga (If he fell) Bruce Campbell (If he fell) Ciron Black (If he shows he should go there) Golden Tate,Jermaine Gresham

Round 3: Jerome Murphy CB USF- I like him he has the size and ball skills that are desired, a good tackler, also returns Kicks, thats always a plus

or: Trevard Lindley CB Kentucky- great quickness and ball skills, small but tough, another guy i really like

or: Damaryius Thomas WR Georgia Tech- Love the size, like the speed, Routes are bad but i think thats something he can get better at with coaching, you can't coach size can't coach speed. Ran a 4.6 if he can cut that down to a 4.55 or close to that i think he is a surefire pick here.

Others i would consider: Major Wright,Jon Asamoah,George Selvie,Vince Oghobaase,Barry Church

Round 4: Larry Asante SS Nebraska- good in run support, good in coverage (At a college level) looks to be a nice compliment to Delmas

or: Jacoby Ford WR Clemson- Fast and explosive a slot guy, good returner

or: Dexter McCluster RB/WR/Wildcat Ole Miss- Its Dexter McCluster my prediction is that he goes in round 2 to the Raiders. But if he is here for us, he is very intriguing, if he puts on some more muscle he could be a huge steal, Chris Johnson Speed, and great toughness for his size

or: Akwasi Owusu-Ansah CB Indiana (Pa.)- Really raw but has good size, good speed, could be a steal here. Coming off surgery that could effect things but he is still a good player to look at in rounds

Later Rounds: look at Greg Matthews,Blair White and Tim Hiller from here in Michigan. Brandon Carter,Eric Moncur,Cam Thomas,Aleric Mullins,Randy Earl,Derek Hardman,Casey Knips,James Starks,Lonyae Miller,Andre Dixon,Anthony Dixon,Javarris James,Naaman Roosevelt,Armanti Edwards,Andre Roberts,Myron Lewis,Chris Hawkins,Jamar Wall,Stephan Virgil are all guys i think we should take a look at in later rounds.

Free Agents i would target

Offense: Jerome Harrison,Kevin Walter

Defense: Aaron Kampman,Kyle Vanden Bosch,Jevon Kearse,Keith Bulluck

Resign Larry Foote

Pride Of Detroit My View of the Lions as a team

Ok i have some serious questions about the Lions, and basically i am not happy with anyone on this team, including Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford, to me the only bright spot this year was on Defense with Levy,Follett and Delmas.

Pride Of Detroit My Mock

Ok people the Rams are in the same exact situation we were in last year and will do the same exact thing we did.

Look Steven Jackson is a top 5 RB in the NFL (like Calvin Johnson is a top 5 WR) and in order to keep him they need to draft weapons on the offensive side of the ball to take some of the pressure off, also they need to sell tickets and like it or not we as fans have become fantasy obsessed, meaning my guess is that Jimmy Clausen is the Rams pick at No 1 and they will take Golden Tate in the 2nd round. This means that Suh falls in our lap

Pride Of Detroit Put in a Claim for him Lions

Justin Miller CB/KR has been cut by the New York Jets. He (Miller) went to a Pro Bowl in 2006, and while some say he may have lost some of his explosiveness, that he once had, he is still relatively young and i think could be worth a shot.

Pride Of Detroit The Future?

Well it looks like we have our Franchise QB, a great Young TE, one of the best WR in the NFL, a great young leader in the Defensive Secondary, and a Veteran LB core.

Areas of Strength: Quarterback,Linebackers,Tight End

Areas of Need: Cornerback, Defensive Line,Offensive Line

Areas that could use an upgrade: Wide Receiver,Running Back,Safety

ok now that we have addressed the thing we need to fix lets go over this Ndamukong Suh and Eric Berry are the only two guys worthy of Drafting with our 1st pick (In my opionion) maybe Taylor Mays,Terrence Cody,Russell Okung or yes even Dez Bryant could be intruiging here as well but i pray it will be one of the first two mentioned.

My ideal Draft would be this:

RD1 Eric Berry SS Tennessee

RD 2 Dan Williams DT Tennessee

RD 3 Mick Williams DT Pitt

those would be my first 3 picks if i could get them, this sets up your Defensive Line (a new Williams wall in the NFC North?) and give you argueably the best Safety combo in the NFL (Delmas,Berry). The penetration your going to get from the DT should allow more one on one matchups for DE's (Hunter,Bryan,Avril) and takes a little pressure off the LB core, the Safeties will make a QB think twice a lot and will also be able to help a lot in the cover game. Even though i this is the draft i would do, there are a lot of prospects i like, lets take a look

Pride Of Detroit Fate?

With Stanton having surgery and Culpepper slicing his toe is it fate that Stafford is to Start? Now everyone should know i am not a huge fan of starting Stafford right away but i would rather have a Rookie healthy QB rather then a toe less Veteran. Now if Culpepper comes back and is healthy im still pushing for him to start. I don't know if anybody else read a recent article saying that Peyton Manning said Rookie QBs should start im mean stuff he said i can understand but i still think that Culpepper would be a better chance to win if he is healthy, well at least the first few games.

Pride Of Detroit QB Situation and Preseason Questions

Ok first i want to say Stafford is going to be a great QB in this league but right now Culpepper is the QB we got use and listen im saying if he goes down Drew Stanton could be a solid Backup. One of the big things that everybody loved about Stafford was his ability to learn and i believe that if you give him a year of watching film he will come out next year knowing certian things about Defenses translating into fewer mistakes. The Next thing i would like to talk about is the Defense, Deandre Levy is going to get a ton of time at LB, Louis Delmas is going to be feared and Cohen,Hill,Fluellen, and Avril are all going to step up big for this Defense. The Offense, Derrick Williams and Demir Boldin are both going to make this team i believe, Aaron Brown is going to make the team and i believe he will be part of a three headed Monster (Smith,Felton,Brown) Dane Looker is going to be Mike Furrey for us and Standeford,Cason, and the rest of those jokers are all gonna get cut. Look the Special Teams suck, Stan Kwan should have been canned. 14 Points they allowed (Im blaming that first Touchdown on them) they suck just plain suck, you take those points away and we are right in the game.

Detroit Bad Boys Defense is Desire

With the recent signings of Gordon,Villanueva and Wilcox we look to be a very explosive team on the Offensive side of the ball, my question is are we going to have Defense from the three new signings? I am not convinced we are a going to be a Defensive team, but that being said Defense isn't a skill its all desire and if these guys buy into the desire then i see this team being a top 5 team. I think we are going to see a team like this Starters: PG:Bynum SG:Hamilton SF:Prince PF:Villanueva C:Wilcox Reserves: PG:Stuckey SG:Gordon SF:Daye,Jerekbo PF:Maxiell,Summers C:Brown,(Wallace) Please people stop saying trade Hamilton its stupidity First Gordon is willing to come off the bench he has done so his entire career, second Rip is capable of playing SF so you could play him and Gordon at the same time, if anyone is to be traded it should be Prince who has 2 maybe three rookies behind him good enough to start.

Bless You Boys What?

Why is anyone talking about trading Porcello? he is a 20 year old Pitcher with Top of the Rotation stuff oh and by the way he isn't pitching at the A,AA or AAA level he is in the Majors already, we cant trade him it would be stupid. Here is my thoughts we need a nice Bat in this Lineup i know that, but do we need to trade Porcello or Perry to get a good Bat? I don't think we do i think what we should do is trade Polanco i mean what contender would not want a great Defensive 2nd Baseman who can hit quite well? if you trade him to a contender for some good prospects you can turn and trade those prospects to get a nice bat, plus Scott Sizemore looks ready to play in the Majors so we wouldn't lose much if any at 2nd Base. Bring up Wilkin Ramirez and let him play i mean come on anybody can play better then Maggs right now. You keep your young arms and get your bat i don't know maybe it can't work i don't but those are thoughts

Detroit Bad Boys Summer League Boys?

Do any of these guys have a chance of cracking the team? the rotation? i think so but maybe its me. Do any of you think that someone from this Roster can give us a boost?

From what i have read it seems that both Jerkbo and Summers are ready to play, ive also heard that Deron Washinton has an improved Offensive game. Is Plastied going to take on a big role this year for us? I have heard that we have added Sean Singletary,Travis Walton and Marquise Gray i like the first 2 on that list and i think both have a nice chance at a roster spot but will they get it? who knows. I think personally that the three Draftees this year and Deron Washington are locks on the Roster this season and i also think that Plastied and Singletary will make this team, Sleeping Beauty is a huge Question Mark to me i don't know what his future is was he not playing because he sucked? or was it because the team was just good? or did he sit because he was a Rookie? you really knows all i know is that we are going to have a lot of "Rookies" behind are Starters.

Detroit Bad Boys Try to Trade Tay

Tay for Rudy Gay? Tay for Emeka Okafer? Tay for Caron Butler?  obviously we would have to throw some other players but would you want these guys for Tay and 1 or 2 bench players? i would take these trades, plus they are all former Huskies since the Pistons seem to be in love with Jim Calhouns former players. Trade Tay,Afflalo,Plastied and Daye for Rudy Gay and Hashem Thabeet then sign Marcus Williams. Williams,Rip/Gordon,Gay,Villanueva,Thabeet that would be a nice Huskie lineup for the pistons with Stuckey,Bynum,Summers,Maxiell and Brown as are main reserves i think Sharpe and Washington could contribute too as well as Jerkbo.

Now that trade probably wouldn't happen but if it did why not have all Huskies?

Detroit Bad Boys Stay Away!

Ben Gordon can not Start nor does he play Defense, Charlie Villanueva is 6-11 and while he isn't really known for being a great Defender or a great player for that matter he would fill a hole unlike Gordon. My Free Agents i would sign

Ron Artest: A Defensive Minded SF that makes Tayshaun Prince expendable, to bad he had to punch out a fan here in Detroit

Shawn Marion: a SF/PF hybrid who plays good defense and if you could revive him to what he was you will be getting a great player at a small price, look at the guys that came to Detroit and revived there Careers (Billups,Rip,Ben Wallace,McDyess)

Andre Miller: A pass first PG who would most likely buy into the Defensive minded game that the Pistons SHOULD play

since you have Artest now you can go ahead and trade Tay if you would like for a Big man the Clippers are looking to sell try and get Chris Kaman or Marcus Camby even. look i know this wouldn't be a young team but it would be a very tough Defensive minded team that is still capable of putting up points, Artest will shut down the likes of Lebron James,Paul Pierce,Vince Carter,Josh Smith and the rest. Rip handles every SG in the League with ease and Andre Miller should hold his own with most PGs. Marions Length and Kamans size will give opposing Offenses trouble and since you have a nice front court you might be able to bring back Dyess which would give you a tremendous bench (Dyess,Stuckey,Affalo,Bynum,Maxiell,Brown, whatever Rookies make the team).

Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva don't give us an upgrade on the Defensive end they take away from the Defense in fact, why do you want this? do you want Rip or Gordon? because thats what it is if Ben Gordon is signed Rip is traded. so thats the question do you want Ben and Charlie as your starting* SG and PF for the next 4 years? i know i dont.

* Ben Gordon will probably be a highly overpaid 6th man not a Starter

This gets rid of all the trash on the Cavs team and adds a pass first Point Guard that will get the Ball to Lebron and Shaq on a Consistent basis, if the do indeed sign Sheed it gives them a nice threat at the 4 and you can just move old Mo to SG i mean look at that lineup it looks like a Championship team to me. Rubio,Williams,Lebron,Sheed/Hickson,Shaq/Big Z looks pretty good to me

alright sorry to everyone for posting about the Cavs on a Pistons site but the Pistons are driving me nuts right now, Austin Daye? Are you kidding me? He will go up against Shaq and Shaq will break him in half, the guy is skinner the Tayshaun. Trade Tayshaun and sign Ron Artest and Carlos Boozer and get a PG somehow. please someone tell me why we let Amir Johnson go to get Austin Daye.
