Fantasy Hockey Scouts Keeper Problems

Hey there FHS gang, bit of a problem for my Fantasy squad.

We get to keep 5 players from our roster at the end of the year for the year upcoming and here is who I have:

Now I am for sure keeping Drew Doughty, Alex Burrows (my favorite player), and Brent Seabrook. Which leave two spots that I can either fill or leave empty. Our stats are:
G A +/- PIM PPP SHP GWG FOW HIT BLK W L SV SO GAA SV%

Kesler's hip injury makes me wary of keeping him and I don't know if Dats will ever be a 90 point player or if he is the most cost effective choice for this league. I have considered Backes, Hall, Stastny, Eriksson but don't know who would be the best going forwarward for this league and/or if I should leave an empty spot and try to get a goalie from one of the other guys in the "pre-draft"

Any thoughts?

Good on Cam (and Gorg, Greenlay, and the others) for taking the Polar Plunge and raising some money for the MN Special Olympics.

As much as he is maligned around HW (and I am sure elsewhere) this was pretty cool to see. I hope he found his game while looking for his hat!

Fantasy Hockey Scouts Drop or Trade Kipper?

So I have the unfortunate honor of having Miikka Kiprusoff as one of my starting goalies.

We get to start 2 goalies each night and the stats are W, L, SV, Sv%, GAA, and Shutouts. You need to have at minimum 3 goalie starts/week

Currently my goalies are Kipper, Ondrej Pavelec, and Rick DiPietro

Would it be prudent to drop Kipper? I mean yes he does get starts, yes he was one of the best goalies int he league in past years, but getting shelled every other night isn't helping me out at all.

I have started shopping him but am skeptical on the return or if I could even move him

Should I drop him, shop and trade him for anything, or be patient? At this point I am wondering if it would be worth giving up the starts he'd get for either a solid backup goalie or for another forward.

FA Goalies include: Brian Boucher, Jonas Gustavsson, Steve Mason, Jean-Sebastien Giguere, Nikolai Khabibulin, Cory Schneider, Scott Clemmensen, Jose Theodore, Anders Lindback, and a smattering of other backups.

Fantasy Hockey Scouts Datsyuk vs. Carter; Leino & Ladd

Ok, dilemna, 12 man league, stats are G,A,+/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, GWG, FOW, HIT, BLK, W, L, SO, SV%, Saves, GAA

Roster is 2 C, 2 LW, 2 RW, 4 D, 2 UTIL, 2 G, and 3 Bench

Keeper League (you can keep 5 at the end of the year)

My squad is as follows:

P. Stastny C
B. Little C
R. Kesler C
B. Boyle C
A. Ladd LW
L. Eriksson LW/RW
A. Burrows LW/RW
D. Backes C/RW
V. Leino LW/RW
J. Benn LW/C

D. Seidenberg, D. Doughty, D. Wideman, and B. Seabrook for defenders

Kiprusoff, Boucher, and Pavelec in net

Also, P. Datysuk, C on the IR

So the dilemna is I have wanted Jeff Carter for awhile but his owner never liked my deals, but recently he approached me about it and asked if I was interested, citing that he'd like a keeper level center in return.

I kept Pavel Datsyuk and with the way he is playing so far, he is probably keeper worthy but now that I have Kesler and Stastny who are younger and on solid teams, is Datysuk exepndable if I can nab Carter in return or should I hold off on that?

Also, I have Andrew Ladd who is cooling off and Ville Leino who despite having 25 points and being +14 has been moved off of both PP units and has been busted down to the third line. Do I shop these guys or ride out the storm for a little longer and see if they pick it up?

I like all three of them as players, but I also like winning!

Looks like the debate about blogger credentials (or lack thereof) is heating up across the Hockey and Media worlds. Wyshynski at Puck Daddy has a good article on it. Seeing as how Litter Box Cats is in fact a blog I thought it would be appropriate.
