Never seen a team owned by the NBA. It is funny to think that this year Melo is going to be a big time stockholder on the Hornets (b/c he leads the leagues in technicals and is shelling out dough to the NBA).
Refs also have the same employer, so I wonder if they show a bias to their "co-employees" ?

If we are going to get this guy I want to know more about him. I know some fellow stiff will have a nice skinny on this guy.

I hear he is a hard worker and good defender with a raw game. The problem is that he doesn't have the production of a Cousins. He could span from being like Stromile Swift to a hybrid of D. Howard and Stoudemire. Personally, I think he could be similar to another Georgia Tech alum...Bosh except he is better on defense and worse on offense.

As an aside I prefer Murphy as an expiring contract to AK-47, why would we want AK-47?

If we are going to get this guy I want to know more about him. I know some fellow stiff will have a nice skinny on this guy.

Unless we trade Melo and JR for some choirboys( scracth that Nene the choirboy definitely "incredulously raises his hands in the air") soon, expect the Nuggets to lead the league in technical. Man these rules look stringent. Kobe does this all the time, so hopefully he gets Tee'd up as well. Even AAA will get Tee'd up frequently with these new rules.

It looks like another hammer from the sky from Mr. Stern who is turning our league into the MLB.

Things we need before the season starts

1) Get a decent GM like Griffin ( I like him more than Pritchard)

2) Get Nene some counseling and tell that guy he is a BEAST and continually tell it to him till he absolutely believes it. If Nene plays tough we will be tough to beat even with the Lakers.

3) Hire an assistant coach who is good at defense (I am looking at you former Nuggets video coordinator Mike Brown you muppet looking S.O.B)

Ok before I start, I predicate this statement by saying the Nuggets need Karl to be healthy or hire someone has a head coach before the season starts.

This will require some patience on the Nuggets, but instead of blowing this team up, management needs to make some tweaks to the roster. After an offseason where we don't get Chris Bosh (it probably won't happen), and all the big names land on their respective teams. The Nuggets may make a trade for a late 1st round or 2nd round draft pick, but besides that not much will happen in the summer to the horror of Nuggets fans. Hopefully the resign Petro and Graham and drop Allen/AC to get better scrubs. Except either Wark or Chapman resigning. If not either of those two then a good GM. Kroenke usually picks good gms (I mean Kiki was his worst). JR stays because of Wark's love for him and he vows to be better and we all say yeah right! We will get fed the same bull crap from team officials for a slow offseason.

The season begins the Nugs look strong in the 1st half of the season again (barring GK is healthy). Then we see a team with a new owner like New Orleans who wants to blow up the roster because of the young talent on the team. Enter New Orleans Hornets and specifically David West as NOH is headed to a dreadful season again. CP3 will be injured and will also demand a trade, but he goes somewhere else.

Here comes the trade: Denver trades KMart and a 1st round pick to New Orleans they get David West and KMart agrees to a buyout deal before Mar 1st. The Nugs have: Nene, West, Melo, AAA, CBillups. Bench: KMart, Lawson, Smith, Birdman, Graham.

Two quick rants: Andrew we should not trade Melo for an undersized center and an injury prone combo guard. That would make us a scrappy team of the West that barely makes the playoffs and doesn't win. As far as I am concerned Melo is top 5 in the NBA. Your LeBron has some troubles actually winning championships when he is FAVORED and yet everyone still bows to him.

Sorry about the rant what do you guys think?

After watching a lot of playoff games in 2010 (except some of the Eastern Conference games because those series are boring until the conference finals), it seems like the refs are calling games a lot more closely than they are in the regular season. I thought the playoffs were about no blood no foul? I have never seen so many minor fouls get called. I have only watched the NBA for 10 years, but I imagine they probably let even more stuff happen earlier on.

I agree with Nate that it is ridiculous that the refs aren't letting the players play. It takes the fan enjoyment out of the picture. All I can do is complain about it, but what do you guys think? It definitely took the physicality out of our Nuggets. I feel if these 2010 refs replaced the 2009 refs, we wouldn't have won as many playoff games as we did.

I hope Nugstradamus prediction stays true and we get at least the third seed with a record of 54-28. Can Nugstradamus tells us if Kenyon is coming back and when George Karl is coming back??

Honestly, I can understand why fans are so pissed because the Nugs were a good team. Hate to use excuses but clearly we are nothing but a team that plays barely over .500 without KMart and GK, so we shouldn't hold the same expectations on them than we did when KMart was playing and GK was on the bench. I can't beleive one player means so much to us, but after watching all 74 of this season's games, our offense is sparked by our defense. And of course our defense comes from you know who.

Whatever... I hate using excuses. We just aren't that deep from the start and Kroenke is mostly to blame on that. If the team is healthy, then we are deep, but FO knew we couldn't rely on health throughout the whole regular season.

All I can say is when everybody is healthy, includign GK, we might forget about this strecth. Until then, we just shouldn't hold the Nuggets to the great expectations we once had and should just enjoy them if they play team ball and defend well.

What about a trade for Ben Wallace for Allen, Petro, or Carter?

I know I jokingly mentioned it in a post b4, but Ben Wallace is real cheap ($825,500 ), defends bigs well and rebounds well. He could come off the bench and get some quality minutes. He is more effective than Malik Allen (who is paid more). I know Petro is young, but I don't know if he will get playing time to show he can be a versatile defender and his salary matches Wallace's salary. As I also mentioned b4, Detroit is in free-fall, so why not try to get an expiring contract worth more than Big Ben? Plus they love trading with us. Might be the championship soln because he will bring an attitude that could be contagious to the team. Wallace does suck on offense, but he can hover around the boards to thrown in offensive tip ins or dunk balls. Just make sure Kmart and him aren't in at the same time.

Additionally, Gasol and Bynum having to see Nene, KMart, Birdman (from the weakside while Wallace is keeping the bigs out of the paint) & Wallace could easily get them gassed.

What do you Nuggets fans think? The only one who can say no is Dumars, but he seems to listen to anything Warkentein says.
