Golden State Of Mind Pure Raw Talent

When you look at the Warriors roster it's undeniable that they possess one of the most talented, albeit raw rosters. With drafting Steph Curry they bring possibly even more young, raw talent to the team.

Golden State Of Mind Team leaders

If you look around, the sucessful NBA teams you always see a defined leader. The Spurs have Duncan, Celtics have KG, Magic have Howard, Cavs and Lebron and when we were good the last couple years we had BD. Last season and seasons before we always had a void in the team leardership role. Some might argue that Jack/Monta is a leader and they can be, but I think they tend to disappear sometimes, we never have that constant on our team that lets everyone know it's alright and someone we can give the ball to in adverse conditions and know that he can quiet the crowd, stop a run or make a clutch play at any point during the game.

You can make the case that the Dubs had more talent on their roster then the majority of the teams in the NBA last year but instead of our talent playing as a team they played as individuals on a team, this is where we badly need a leader on the floor to come in and put guys in their place, to remind them of their role on this team. Since BD left and before the BD days the Dubs have never had an over the top talent and personality that commanded respect like BD did when he was on the floor or on the bench, but that's about to change.

Enter Anthony Randolph, I think everyone who posts on GSoM is just as excited about this kid as I am. He really has no limit to how good he can be. He can literally do things on a basketball court that nobody else in the NBA can do. Only in his second year and just turning 20 this week I think he has enough talent and the right type of personality to command the respect of everyone on the team, including vets. This summer by all accounts, he's shown a glimpse of him starting to mature and lead, he's been a gym rat, working on his game and getting stronger and he's also brought Morrow along for the ride. At only 20, he's putting in the work to become better and to make others better, which is a huge step in the right direction for both him and this franchise.

I know Monta and/or Jack think that the Dubs are their team, which right now it very well may be but I can gurantee in the near future that Randolph will be the one leading the Dubs. For as bleak as this franchise has looked for the last two decades AR4 is that dim light at the end of the tunnel that seems to be getting brighter and brighter every passing day.

Golden State Of Mind Face it, we are and always will be garbage.

Don't get me wrong, I used to follow this team like it was for the life of me, back when we would trot out Agent Zero, JR, Jamison and Larry Hughes, atleast those Dubs were fun to watch if nothing else. I used to buy tickets all the time to go watch them play, back when you could buy cheap seats and sneak down because nobody or cared or the last couple years when the ushers would actually check your ticket, you could count on me for 2-3 four packs of games. Now, I refuse to spend any money to see this team.

The begining of the end was when we let BD go and signed Maggs, the ONE person we needed to make this team go, we said cya to and then we proceeded to overpay for a guy who in no way shape or form fits what our team does or needs. I love Jack but why the extension, bone headed again along with the extension of Nellie, who needs to go. The tipping point for me though was trying to force Mullin out, He wasn't Colangelo when he came on with the contracts he gave but the guy made me feel like we had someone who knew what they were doing in the front office, now who knows and who cares.

This team is and will continue to be garbage until there is a change in leadership at the very top, I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone make the comparison to the Raiders because after all that's what we are, We are the Oakland Raiders of the NBA, we won't be good until our leadership starting at the top goes. This team is almost becoming as dysfunctional as the last couple years of the NY Knicks, it's ridiculous.

I wish I could support this team but there comes a point in every relationship where you know it's over so it's better to just cut ties and that's exactly what I'm doing, I won't purchase or even watch the Dubs anymore because I don't care. Maybe the downside to the loyal fans we have is our blind, dumb faith, always banking on next year or the future, well both have come and gone for me. Someone wake me up when we resemble a basketball team and not an MTV reality show.
