Hey folks...

I just stumbled across a blog post reporting that Jim Balsillie has conceded some ground in his bid to buy the Coyotes.

According to OSG Sports, Balsillie officially renewed his bid to buy the Coyotes out of Chapter 11, and move them to Hamilton, Ontario. However, he took the rush clause out of the bid.

I know the NHL wanted to have an auction where only bidders willing to keep the team in Phoenix, but there is a chance a second auction will be required. That's what Balsillie is hoping for.

I just thought I'd share. I just hope the Coyotes stay put...

I was just browsing through the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and saw that Verron Haynes is headed to court for writing bad checks. Like $70,000 of them - to some big luxury car dealership in Pittsburgh.

I also found this blog post at OSG Sports with the story, and a call from his old GA Bulldog days...

Just thought I'd share. I hate to see good players make bad decisions. He's got two SB rings, and I was hoping he'd bring some of that Steeler Mojo to the Birds...

I was reading the story in the Post-Gazette, and also stumbled across this blog post that had the story, and a call from his GA Bulldog playing days. I hate to see when smart players made bad decisions...
