Add Steve Nash, Nate Robinson and Title number 2
Both can create there own shot, penetrate the defense, run and Shoot from distance. Steve nash can still hit the three with great accuracy, and is one of the best passers in the game. Nate is more of a streaky 3 pt shooter at 35% for his career. Steve Nash Shot 50% for the field, 44% from 3 and over 93% from the line.
Steve is old, tough and wise, Nate is young, tough and a little crazy. I believe We can aquire both by signing Nate for around 5 or 6 million a year and trading Bayless and Outlaw to Phoenix for Nash. This leaves us with the question of what to do with Steve Blake.. I have no Idea but that is why Pritchard makes the big bucks.
I just love looking at this rotation:
48 Min PG Nash(28), Robinson(10), Roy (10)
48 Min SG Roy (16), Rudy(22), Robinson (11)
48 Min SF Batum (13), Webster(23) Roy (11)
48 Min PF Aldridge (35), Batum (13),
48 Min C Oden (28), Pryzbilla (20)
M
Roy 37
Aldridge 35
Oden 28
Nash 28
Batum 26
Webster 23
Fernandez 22
Robinson 21
Pryzbilla 20
That gives a great nine man rotation where everyone plays at least 20 minutes a game. Obviously you have to factor in injuries and maybe someone playing better than expected and someone playing worse, so minutes will always be fluid. What this line up gives us though is Some great experience with Nash, Pryzbilla and Roy, some almost all star play in Lamarcus, and a ton of up and coming talent (Oden, Batum, Fernandez, Webster, Robinson.) We would have some defense with Pryz and Batum, with up an coming defenders in Roy and Aldridge. Our shooting would be lights out with Nash, Webster, Fernadez, Roy, Robinson and Aldridge….a little bit from Batum as well. We could post up with Oden, Aldridge and Roy(although this would be one of our weaker areas.) Drive and dish, and pick n roll could be unstoppable with the shooters spreading the floor, Nash, Roy and Robinson running the show, and Aldridge, Oden and Pryz diving to the hoop. The Blazers would have Great length and rebounding ability with Pryz, Oden, Aldridge, Batum, Webster and Roy. Finally they would have great leadership and clutch play from Nash and one of the 2 or 3 best closers in the game in Brandon Roy. I really think this would be a team that has almost everything it needs(maybe a little concern with perimeter defense, but I think Roy, Batum Robinson and Webster can all be above average in time).
I think our biggest weaknesses last year were toughness, defense and lack of shot creators on offense. With the addition of Robinson and Nash I think we get tougher and add two good to great playmakers. The defense will get better as our young players better understand how to do it. We have guys will all the tools to be good defenders, they just need experience.
If the ball bounces are way and we get a little bit of growth from the young players thru out the year anything would possible, including a championship.

B-Roys Potential... SuperStar?
I asked this question in a recent diary post but believe it merits it's own diary.
Many believed Roys Potential was not of a superstar or even all star player both on this site and Nationally. What I've seen this year has made me change my mind, I believe he can and will become a Superstar.
The most common reason given for Roy's Low ceiling is his lack of Jaw Dropping Athleticism. There have been many great/Superstar players who didn't have that, so why should that limit Brandon's potential?
Here's a break down of his game:
One on One: He is unstoppable one on one, no one can check him, that's the first step towards super star status.
Off the Dribble:
He's very herky jerky, is like a bowling ball going thru the lane, and can finish with both hands. He can also pull up for a floater or a jump shot with pretty good accuracy. It seems Brandon gets the call about 50% of the time that he is hacked going to the basket. If he could just get the call 75% of the time his scoring and FG% would go up considerably.
Shooting: He isn't a great shooter but he is certainly capable. He can knock down enough shots to keep the defense honest, and there's no reason to think he won't improve down the road.
Passing/Playmaking:
Brandon is a great at penetrating which in turn gives him ample opportunity to make plays for his teammates. He's also a very good passer and has a knack for knowing where his teammates are and should be.
Rebounding: Not a great rebounder, but he's solid.
Defense: Brandon is by no means a great defender at this point, but he does shows glimpses that he can be a good one down the road if continues to work on it.
The Closer: There aren't more than 5 or 6 guys in the league that can put the nail in the coffin at the end of games like B-ROY. This aspect of his game can't be understated, because if the game is close, I like our chances.
Intangibles: Brandon's life is basketball and family, so we don't have to worry about him slacking off or getting into trouble, we can look forward to him continuing to improve his game.
He is a natural leader and all of his teammates love him. He's always been a winner, and makes his teammates better, that's another quality every superstar must posses.
So where do you think Brandon's ceiling is now?

Sergio man crushes
What is it about Sergio that gets everybody Fired up? This guy would get no playing time on 28 other teams in the leauge, yet here we want to fire the coach because he doesn't play. I didn't get it last year and I don't get it this year. People make excuses for him, over hype him and it seems are down right googley eyed for him. He's not a good player yet, deal with it. Could he be? I would say yes but it won't be for a while. It would be much easier ot be a fan if Sergio wasn't on the team, because he dominates every topic. If he was that good Nate would play the guy. The fact is he's short, weak, plays no D and can't shoot. He doesn't run a half court offense very well either. The only thing he would be above average in is running the break. He does excell there. Nate would not bench a guy that would help the team (or in some of your oppinions, win the MVP, the NBA title cure cancer and create a vaccine for HIV) because of some hidden personal vendetta. It's Nates job to lead his teamt to victories not piss off blazer fans by not playing Sergio.
