#Royals have shot to contend in bad division if they get 1 more starter. RT/@royalreality: who do u like more next year marlins or royals?

Per Steve Berthiaume from ESPN. Glad to know we are getting some attention from National Media.

"Dutton says that other clubs are interested in Holland as well, but the Royals are not inclined to move him unless they're overwhelmed with an offer."

Detroit Free Press likes the Royals after re-signing Chen.

"Whether or not the Royals finally rise into contention, they could cause trouble this coming season for anyone who has to face Chen and Sanchez in the same series, or who has to face the heart of the Kansas City order late in a close game. The Royals always are tough on the Tigers; now they might be tough on many other teams, too."

Ten 2012 Season Predictions.

Lots of people are saying that the Royals will have a great season next year. Lots of people are saying the Royals won't have a great season next year. So, where do I stand in all of this? Some of...

The Mariners, Orioles, Pirates, Rangers, Rockies and Royals are among the teams that have sent scouts to monitor Jamie Moyer's throwing sessions, reports Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports. Moyer now lives in San Diego, so Rosenthal guesses he'd prefer to pitch for a West Coast team --- possibly a reunion with the Mariners, where Moyer is the club's all-time wins leader. The 49-year-old Moyer missed the entire 2011 season recovering from Tommy John surgery, but two scouts tell Rosenthal that Moyer is throwing as well as ever.

Four Under-The-Radar Pitchers That the Royals Could Target.

So, the season is over, and the Royals need pitching. Lots of us were speculating like crazy who the Royals could get. There were names thrown out like James Shields, C.J. Wilson, and even Felix...

Well, it doesn't look like we are going to go after a "big name" Pitcher after all.

Surprisingly, I'm okay with this. It looks like the Royals are going to go the route of "Flinging shit at the wall and seeing what sticks."

Rather... interesting trade proposal from a friend of mine who may or may not have connections w/ the Royals FO.

My friend, whose father may or may not be in the Royals FO (He has oddly hinted at it before), suggested to me a very strange idea for the Royals off-season. He suggested that the Royals may end up...

What are your expectations for the Royals in 2012?

Jonathan Sanchez is Available this off-season. Would he be a good pickup for the Royals?

56

Per MLBTR: Giants lefty Jonathan Sanchez won't return in 2011 and may have thrown his last pitch for the Lads, writes Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News. The Giants may non-tender Sanchez, or, if they do go through the arbitration process with him, could decide to trade him for a bat, according to Baggarly. Sanchez, 28, dealt with injuries and ineffectiveness this season, making just 19 starts, while earning $4.8MM. Sanchez does possess a big arm, so he won't have trouble finding a new job if and when the Giants decide to move on. It sounds like it's not going to take much to get him. We have plenty of ML bats (Cough...Melky... Cough), and he is the type of pitcher that could be a serious boost to our rotation if he's healthy and if we want to compete for the central next year. What do you think?

Would a pickup of Javier Vazquez make sense for the Royals?

27

Sure, he's 35, but he has shown to be a consistent #1-#2 starter throughout his career. He wouldn't be that expensive. He has also done very good at the end of this season, posting a 0.31 ERA in his last 4 games.
