When you combine kicker Matt Prater‘s powerful leg and the fact that Broncos‘ employees park their cars at the south end of Denver’s practice facility—behind the field goal uprights—windshield causalities are bound to happen.

D.J. Williams found guilty of DWAI

+

In addition to his six-game performance-enhancing drug suspension, Williams may also be smacked with another two-to-four week suspension after being found guilty of driving while ability impaired and driving without his headlights back in December of 2010 (his trail was delayed several times by his lawyer, Harvey Steinberg).

Peyton Manning named 50th-best player in NFL

3

On Wednesday, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was named the 50th-best player in the league by NFL Network. It’s a big drop for Manning, who was ranked 2nd overall in 2011.

Champ Bailey ranked No. 46 in NFLN’s Top 100

+

Denver Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey was named the 46th-best player in the NFL by NFL Network on Wednesday. Bailey jumped up two spots from 2011, when he ranked 48th overall.

Broncos’ No. 18 "Manning" jersey a best-seller

+

"That’s right, Peyton Manning‘s No. 18 Denver Broncos jersey is the best-selling jersey in the NFL, followed closely by Tim Tebow‘s No. 15 New York Jets jersey. From April 1st through May 28th, no jersey was more popular than Manning’s orange jersey seen to the right."

Von Miller ranked No. 52 in NFL Top 100 Players of 2012

2

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller, the reining Defensive Rookie of the Year, was named the 52nd-best player in the NFL by NFL Network (NFLN) on Wednesday. The Top 100 Players of 2012 has been airing on the network since April, reveling the top 100 players in the league, as voted by the players.

Stokley’s back in Denver, running slot receiver

4

On Monday, fourteen-year veteran wide receiver Brandon Stokley, now 35 years old, was out on the practice field in Dove Valley doing what he’s done best for most of his career — running routes for Peyton Manning as a slot receiver.

Brock Osweiler eager to learn under Peyton Manning in Denver

9

During the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft on April 27th, Arizona State Sun Devils quarterback Brock Osweiler received a call from a 303 area code. John Elway was on the other line. Elway—the Denver Broncos‘ Vice President of Football Operations and father of Jack Elway, one of Osweiler’s closest college friends—was calling to inform Osweiler that Denver was selecting him 57th overall in the draft. Elway asked Osweiler if he would like to backup quarterback Peyton Manning as Denver’s "quarterback of the future".

Peyton Manning’s Presence will Elevate teammate’s Performances

+

It’s no secret that quarterback Peyton Manning makes everyone around him better, just look at how the Colts fared without him in 2011. With Manning now under center in Denver, his new teammates, especially the receivers and tight ends, are primed to have potent seasons.

On Tim Tebow’s Completion Percentage

9

Starting in eleven games last season, Tebow only completed 46.5% of his passes, a stat which is unheard-of for professional quarterbacks. So, why the low completion percentage?

Should the Broncos Try Running the QB Option?

7

It’s time to get creative. We all know second year quarterback Tim Tebow is not a pocket passer and is more productive on the ground. And we all know that third year running back Knowshon Moreno is more productive in the open field than he is running between the tackles. So here’s a suggestion to the Broncos: Get creative, open up the playbook and call plays that fit your players strengths instead of exposing their weaknesses. (Read more by clicking here)

Broncos New Mojo: Ground and Pound

+

It’s been a long, long time since the Denver Broncos have had a commanding rushing attack and a defense that stiffens in the red zone. On Sunday, though it was quite overlooked due to the quarterback situation, the Broncos had both; rushing for 162 yards on the ground while the defense held San Diego to 1‐of‐5 in the red zone.

Quarterback Tim Tebow: Staying put in Denver

4

Following this season, starting quarterback Kyle Orton and back-up Brady Quinn will be free agents; Tebow will have three years and $6,798,750 (just over $6.7 million dollars) left on his contract. Denver will have to make some decisions at the quarterback position following this year, and they have plenty of time to do so -- after all, it's still just the preseason. Read more here.

I don't know if Dawkins still has the speed and leg strength to beat out the two rookie safeties on the team, but he's in pretty good shape (pun intended) up top! [Via BT]

Will Bronco Players Be in Shape for Training Camp, Preseason?

2

The team is scheduled to begin practicing next Thursday which would give them two weeks to prepare for their 2011 preseason opener in Dallas against the Cowboys and would give the players less than two weeks to prepare for camp. Many Denver players however, have been preparing for months.

A Look At Royal’s Excellent Drop Percentage

2

While he hasn’t scored dozens of touchdowns or made the Pro Bowl (yet), Royal has been Mr. Reliable, as Khaled Elsayed of Pro Football Focus discovered when breaking down receivers’ drop percentages from last season. Among receivers who caught 50 or more passes last season, Royal’s 3.28% drop percentage (DP) ranked 5th in the NFL — but that didn’t satisfy Royal.

Von Miller to wear jersey #58 in honor of Derrick Thomas

6

It kinda bugs me that he's wearing the number of a former Chief, but hey if he had to pick one player he wants to be like, I'm totally cool with it being Thomas!

Article on Lance Ball's effort

12

During the season, Ball dressed for over half of the team’s games and showed the same passion and desire he had throughout all of Training Camp and the pre season. There was no greater example of Ball’s non-stop effort than when in week fourteen against the Arizona Cardinals he tracked down Daryl Washington — who had about a seven yard head start — after an interception and forced a fumble before he was able to score.

Why the Broncos are looking at so many quarterbacks

3

Denver is going through a rebuilding process and currently they are figuring out who will and who won't be a part of the solution. Because they can't afford a bust, they'll pick a player that will be able to contribute immediately and help the team win games. "With that second pick, we have to look at everything," said Elway. "Because by no means do we plan on going back there. So we are literally looking at every position inside the draft." (Yes, that includes the quarterback position).

Tim Tebow has Two Valentine's dates!

5

That's right, two. His little nieces, Abby and Riley.

The best offseason acquisition by McX, to date

That's right, DB Brian Dawkins. The Eagles let him go last offseason (epic fail) and the Broncos were smart enough to pounce on him - although not half as hard as he does to WR's. My cousin is a...
