Veteran (read "old") hockey writer. Covered the NHL for Sports Illustrated in the 80s. Since then have concentrated on books, the last five being:

HOME ICE -- nominally a colleection of essays about my backyard rink but actually about how the rink connects me to the people I love.
SAVED (a novel...a humorous love story set against a modern NHL season).
OPEN ICE -- another collection of essays due out August 29 and up on Amazon now 6/24/08 for discounted pre-release sale.

Live in Natick, MA. where I've had a rink -- the Bacon Street Omni -- in my yard for 25 consecutive years.
