Pride Of Detroit Matt Stafford @ the Gatorade Performance Lab @ SB XLIV

This is Matthew Stafford of the Detroit Lions testing at the media center of Super Bowl XLIV in South Florida, 2010. Gatorade has pitted some of the NFL's best players against a handful of bloggers to show the effects of the new three-part G-Series before, during and after working out.

This is the raw video from Gatorade's testing. There is a part 2 as well. In addition, there may be an edited version released soon.

Pride Of Detroit Lydon Murtha out for season

A freak ankle injury has ended the season of Lydon Murtha, the Miami Dolphins' promising offensive line project.

Murtha, a tackle who was signed off the Lions' practice squad on Oct. 20, turned his ankle on the final play of Wednesday's practice. Initially the injury was not considered serious, but overnight it became just that, and the Dolphins were forced to scramble on Thursday after placing Murtha on injured reserve.

"Crazy deal," Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said. "All of a sudden you get here in the morning and there's a crisis."
