Big Cat Country Blaine Gabbert REVISITED 2011 draft

Let me start off by saying last year I was beating the drum for Christian Ponder, who now has been a relative mediocre QB for the Vikings. I was shocked that we were able to get the arguably number one or two rated QB in the draft last year. I figured we got "value" for our pick.

Unfortunately, I knew there was a lot of negatives for Blaine coming out of Missouri, but I chose to ignore them, knowing that we would succeed with Blaine. Now with the season over, one article I read last year kept popping up in my head. Its a rather scathing article on Blaine prior to the draft, that projects him as a bust. I'm curious what everyone thinks of Blaine for the future compared to this article.

Big Cat Country FA Linebackers

I am little surprised that Stephen Tullock is rated so high by profootball focus. If this is true we should be able to get a good FA linebacker between Tullock and Posluszny.

Interestingly, if you go up to the top of the article and check out the best 4-3 outside linebackers, Justin Durant is in there. I am unsure why he is getting so much pub, when he played so bad for us? I know Harris likes him, but he doesn't know anything.

Ponder is skyrocketing up the boards, based on some of the scouts. Never thought he might not be there even at 16, but it looks like he may be the third QB taken now.

This article is for the dolphins, but also read that Washington is interested in him. (can't find that article)

A lot of people have Locker going high, but if you attribute Ponder's lower ratings to his recent injuries, he rates out as an elite talent.
I know, I know. Injuries are injuries! But I like Ponder. This article is much more balanced in its view of Ponder, but if its in anyway right. This would be a perfect GM Smith pick, and of course would again be a 'suprise' pick.

I know, I know!
No bashing someone when there are down, but.............
I didn't, honest
It was Houston!
Still if you haven't seen this on AOL fanhouse it is hilarious.

Here is some highlight video of the bucs/jags preseason game.
This is at least a little better than still pictures. sorry if already posted.

Edit: They added extra videos, so now the highlight video is I think #4, but the other videos show Bucs scoring and long plays, at least it illustrates some jags defensive formations and how the secondary responds.
