OT Daniel Baldridge visits Jaguars
Per NFP, Baldridge went to Marshall and was a basketball player in HS and has been taking up boxing training.
Aaron Morgan
Don't know if it's been reported on here yet, but NFP is reporting that Jaguars are showing interest in DE Aaron Morgan from Louisiana-Monroe. He's been described as a tweener... It's interesting that they're looking at him, even though we're supposed to be 4-3 this year.
Jaguars War Room via NFL.com
NFL.com made a pretty cool interactive draft page. Check it out!
Will LA Go Broke?
Take this into account, next time someone says LA needs a football team. City can't support a new football team until they can support themselves!
I'm representing Jacksonville in the NFL's Department of Fandemonium Promotion!!!
Somehow I ended up as one of the 32 candidates representing the Jacksonville Jaguars. Didn't know if it was appropriate to post this in the FanPosts and it's prolly not appropriate either to post this in the FanShots... but I just wanted to let everyone know and ask you to vote for me by clicking the link above. Help move me and the Jaguars back up in the rankings!!

More Videos From Jacksonville.com
Found these on Jacksonville.com this morning. First one is a how to guide to getting on the Jumbotron @ The Jack. Now I just gotta find out where to get the facepaint... or a group of beautiful ladies to help me get on the Jumbotron. LoL
The 2nd one is a gaming tournament held by Uche Nwaneri that's done @ Sneakers every other Tuesday. Not sure which Sneakers... but my guess is the one in Jacksonville Beach.
Go Jaguars!
Making Them Titans Work!
Found this on Paul Kuharsky's blog. Made me feel pretty good about our 3-4 after reading this:
“Before you knew exactly where they’d be,” Titans offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger said with a laugh. “It used to be you could go home early on Tuesdays when you played them and Indy because you knew exactly what you were going to get and scratched [the game plan] out and you were on your way home.
“Now you’ve got to work.”
If it makes Fisher have to stay at the office a couple more hours, then it's all the sweeter!
Go Jaguars!!!
Another Game Another Roster Move

Jags sign DL Smith from Rams practice squad
September 28, 2009 4:20 PM
Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky
The Jaguars may well tinker with the bottom of their roster weekly.
They made three moves Monday after breaking to the win column Sunday in Houston.
Jacksonville signed second year-defensive lineman Bryan Smith off the St. Louis Rams practice squad and waived cornerback Kennard Cox and defensive end Jeremy Navarre.
The roster is at 52, so there is one more move to come.
Looks like Gene's picking up more tweeners. My guess is that the next move is that he'll add another DT, considering Knighton's injury. Looks like the Jaguars are finally accepting that they are a 3-4 team. I'm excited with all the work Gene's putting in getting this team back on track. I've never seen a GM make this many moves. Get used to it guys... I think Gene will be doing this all year with

Game Day Prep by Jacksonville.com
I was reading an article on Jacksonville.com by Michael Wright about how Garrard thinks that Tim Tebow has potential to be a quarterback at the next level and I came across these two videos. We've had enough talk about Tim Tebow and I thought I would try to see if I could post these videos using the new capabilities that SB Nation has provided. Looks like I got it to work. Check out these two videos on game day prep. I liked the one on how the guy paints the Jaguars head in the middle of the field. Great work by the stadium staff!
GO JAGUARS!!!

B.J. Raji agrees to deal with Packers
Per Profootballtalk, B.J Raji has made an agreement in principle with the Packers, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The contract must be reviewed, but Raji is expected to sign it on Friday when he arrives in Green Bay.
Terms of the contract are not known yet, but it's expected to be a five-year deal.
Once Raji signs, there will be four remaining first-round holdouts. Raji's deal could help speed things along for Jaguars tackle Eugene Monroe, who was taken one spot before Raji.
Any thoughts on to how what kind of deal Raji got? I'm hoping the Packers didn't cave & pay him too much & justify the Jaguars' current offer to Monroe... I'm thinking Raji may have gotten 18-17M guaranteed though.

Draft Gamesmanship
In the next few days we're going to start hearing all kinds of stories leading up to the draft, from free agent signings to stories of who each team is high on in order to gameplay each other. Now among these stories you may have heard that the Browns are interested in Sanchez, after drafting Brady Quinn and having Derek Anderson on the roster. You may have heard that there are teams like the Redskins, who are smitten by Sanchez and may be willing to trade up. You also may hear that teams are bringing in players for visits and some of you may be scratching your heads and saying " Who the hell is that? " or " Why in the hell would they bring this guy in for a visit? ".
All that being said I'm not going to dive in to why I think they're bringing in this guy or why this guy is a sleeper. I'm going to switch it up and bring another way to analyze the draft. Before I start, I'd like to say that I'm only using Sanchez as an example because of all the attention he's been getting as of late.
Now we know that Sanchez was invited to attend the draft, but won't be going due to his busy schedule visiting teams. The first thing you may be thinking, is why they invited this guy for a visit is because they're not satisfied with the production of their current QB(s). Let's look at two teams... the 49ers and the Seahawks, both from the same division and need the QB position but for different reasons. The 49ers need a QB because no one in their current group, including the #1 overall pick of the 2005 draft, is going to be the next Joe Montana. The Seahawks have a QB that is coming back from an injury and at the tailend of his career. Out of the two, the Seahawks clearly have the better situation at QB even with everything said about Hasselbeck.
Now my thinking is that they're not only looking at Sanchez or Stafford for their own personal reasons... they're also looking at these two as potential opponents. I mean, if the Seahawks draft Stafford, the 49ers can say they brought him in for a visit and saw all the negatives that they'll plan to exploit 2 times each season. It's not like they can ask him to come in later to see that he only makes 1 read instead of 3 before he steps and throws. Same goes for the Seahawks... once mocks indicated that the 49ers may be able to draft Sanchez, they brought him in for a workout. I wish I had more scenarios, but as I just thought of this today after looking at who was bringing in who for visits, I hope that maybe you all may have seen simular incidences that you could share and maybe we can talk about something else leading up to the draft instead of dream trade and drafting scenarios.
Torry Holt To Visit Jacksonville
Just checked PFT this morning and right here they mention that Holt is to visit Jacksonville today! So he just gets back from vacation and he chooses to visit us first! This has got to be good news! I think he's probably going to be the best veteran we could have to make our team better. I now see us picking up Maclin if we're stuck with the 8th pick. What are your thoughts about this? Sorry if I rambled a little... had to meet the 75 word min.
New Jaguars Uniforms
Looks like Vic just reveiled a little more about what the new uniforms will look like.
http://jaguars.com/news/article.aspx?id=7730
Do you all just think it's the pants and jerseys that's getting a change or do you think they're going to change the helmets also? Teal helmets over the black ones we currently have?
I found a pic of a Jags helmet online and with the help of MS Paint I changed the color to see what a teal helmet would look like... kinda of growing on me now the more I look at it. =)
