The Dream Shake Why is everyone on this site on Daryl Morey's nuts?

What exactly has this guy done for us? I don't think he's a bad GM, but come on. The posts on this forum are always positive. Sure he managed to dish Rafer Alston, but for what? Since he has come to town, Houston has needed a point guard and a backup center. So far he has not delivered on either issue. Also, I ain't buying his mystical, statistical mumbo jumbo either.

Oh and by the way, Rick Adelman is not the coach for this team. We need to get Avery Johnson or someone equivalent. H-town needs someone with a chip on his shoulders. At the very least we need a coach that can call a time out before we go 20 points in the hole. We need a coach that recognizes who the hot players are and leave them on the court.

I know you guys don't agree, but that is the way I see it.....   Peace out.

The Dream Shake We made it 1/4 of the way Dream Shakers!

Ok,

Let's say that I told you we were 1/4 of the way through the regular season. T-Mac is out, we are shooting 39%, the Spurs are on a winning streak, CP3 is still the man AND our Rox or 1st in the SW.  The shooting percentage is just a seat of the pants estimate but come on, we are doing it people!!

All the Rafer haters out there (I was the biggest, sorry) didn't know about the surgery slowing him down from this offseason, at least I never heard  about it. He must be starting to feel better because he is doing a great job.

Q/A Time...

How are we matching up with other teams in the west like the Barfitall Spazz?

Is Adelman on Crack?

Is Dorsey gonna play?

Can Yao dominate?

Is it the postseason yet so I can at least have an excuse for quitting my job?

Just a quick thank you to all you out there in Dream Shake Land. I am registered at ClutchFans, but I like this site the best, keep  up the good work.

Jake

Isn't it a good day when you realize that  you aren't the only one who can't stand the Jazz?

The Dream Shake Rafer for MVP!!

Rafer Alston is the best player on the Rockets team period. What a heads up play against Barnes in the third. I, like everyone else, am impressed with Rafers' skills at the point. Heck, Alston knew that we would not need his services against New Orleans. Heck any guy off the street can guard CP3. The guy is way overrated! He only averages what a double double every night..... please. The guy obviously never watched any of skip's street ball tapes. Now that is team basketball!

I hope that AB has learned the finer points of sportsmanship and poise from Rafer. For example the technical foul Rafer received in the last few minutes of the Celtic game. That was a classic!!! Only a true veteran would know when to spout off at the mouth and get called for a T to make it a four point game with little time remaining. You always want to put the close games out of reach for your OWN team when time is running out. Thats just basketball 101.

I just don't think Brooks is ready to fill Rafers' shoes. For one thing his field goal percentage is a little to high for my taste. If we could just get it down in the low to middle thirty percent region I would feel a lot better about starting Brooks. That and he cuts to the hoop wayyyyy too much! He needs to learn to lay bricks from the outside instead of penetrating in order to draw fouls, create shots for team members, or making easy lay ups.

We should seriously consider retiring Rafers' jersey now. I mean how many awesome, jaw-dropping performances does one man have to do in order to get a little recognition? Thank goodness we all got a chance to witness the magic of a true Rockets legend.

Rafer for MVP, enough said.

The Dream Shake Beating a dead Horse (Rocket/Celts).

OK, OK, I know the game is behind us but.... Why isn't anyone pointing fingers at Adleman for the Loss. Yao is sucking, Rafer is being Rafer and we lose a close one at home.  That Technical foul at the end was just the cherry on top. Thanks Rafer, thanks for your glorious contribution. Anyone else out there still steaming about this one?Clearly we were outplayed on the offensive end but our D broke down as well. That wide open jumper with 3 minutes to go that KG nailed was the game winner in my opinion. The guy could have made that shot while checking his stock portfolio on his blackberry! I kept hoping for a W, but the handwriting was on the wall.

Another thing that has me confused is why Rick pulled  Ron off the floor when we clearly needed a tre (not to mention someone to guard Allen). All our sharp shooters should have been out there for that possession. Somebody please explain that to me. I know it is easy to "coach the game" from the couch after the fact but come on Rick at the very least pull Rafer out of the game when we need POINTS. The guy is going to average one to two field goals a contest, he was over-ripe by the time the T was called. I knew the official was going to call it when he couldn't keep his mouth shut and over what? They blew the whistle, we were getting the damn ball back jackass!! But no, let's make it a four point game so we have to get a miracle four point play to send it to OT! Your basketball IQ is off the charts skippy!
