Pain and misery can also be a creative inspiration. Yesterday we posted this poem about Adam Dunn at Bardball.com, a site for baseball poetry , fresh daily. Check us out if you're interested.

By Stuart Shea

Seasons come and go.
Shadows cross the land.
But in the passing parade of humanity,
One thing will always go as planned:
Adam Dunn will miss the cutoff man.

We're an equal opportunity offender, so if you think up any nasty limericks about the Mets, send them to the website.

Willis' return is great news, and great news deserves to be commemorated. So I slapped together a poem for his return and posted it to Bardball.com, a website I run for posting fans' poetry, songs and videos about the season. Check it out if you want, you might like it!

http://www.bardball.com

My favorite line, if I do say so myself:

Your off-speed floating up and down,
Your hat too big like Charlie Brown’s.

Any Tiger poets and songwriters out there, we'd love to see your stuff.
