My ultimate hope is that someone can inform the tree supporters about this, and the tree-huggers could go take their endeavor to another state and climb a tree on Woot's property.  Nobody tell them about Texas law, though!

After all the legal haggling -- and after both sides claimed victory -- it appears major stadium renovations will begin at Cal. And that means coach Jeff Tedford -- he of the 50 wins in six seasons -- will hang around Berkeley until he retires.

Need I remind everyone of the three previous coaches at Cal? Tom Holmoe, Steve Mariucci and Keith Gilbertson combined for 42 wins (and four of those were later forfeited) in the 10 seasons prior to Tedford's arrival.

Pity to the police stuck with -- how can I say this? -- coaxing the tree-sitting protestors from their perch. Two words: biohazard suit.

Gotta love the last statement in the first paragraph!  I know this could be premature, but it beats waiting in silence for the stories on the court preceedings, today.

We have a Golden opportunity to advertise the Gold-out on local television by standing with the Sign, "GOLD OUT MEMORIAL, AUGUST 30" in front of the Local New's cameras behind the tree-hugger supporter or a reporter.   If someone does it between 5 pm and 7 pm, then it might be live.  Who's willing to take advantage of some free advertising for the cause?   Who's feelin Golden?  You might even want to paint yourself Golden.  Perhaps, someone can talk their hot gf into wearing a Golden bikini and paint their entire body Golden.  Did I say gold enough?
