With all the NCAA talk about whether Kanter will be cleared, the Bledsoe report, and Pearl's misdeeds at Knoxville; my mind went back to the troubling situation with Duke over 10 years ago.

Instead of rehearsing the entire saga here - read Dan Wetzel's piece at Yahoo about the NCAA's selective enforcement with the situation at Duke in 2004.

A follow-up piece to read is the Gary Parrish piece at CBS.com after the Memphis debacle in 2008.

While I am concerned about what the boys and girls in Indy will do with the Bledsoe and Kanter situation, I am not holding my breath (now for over 9 years) about Duke having to vacate one of her pristine banners.

I live in Valparaiso, IN - it's not the Bluegrass, but people up here are not generally ignorant about basketball... My sons, both of whom wear their UK gears proudly, are huge UK fans.

Today my senior was stopped and was questioned about his "gang shirt" - you guessed it - it was his UK2K shirt. While I know there is no love lost on the Cats up here, this is too funny not to share

It is official - Bob Knight hates UK with an unbalanced passion. When asked just a few minutes ago (8:30am ET on Mike and Mike ESPN Radio) about the top 2 or 3 teams in the NCAA he mentions Kansas (a well deserved choice) and Syracuse. Really? Choosing a team that was beaten at home by UofL - really?

 Analysts are supposed to be impartial - he is not. He was a great coach - he is not a fair analyst.
