Thank you RBR
I wish the internet had been around when I was most of you guy's ages. In my younger day when Jan 1st and the bowl games were over you didn't get much college news at all. I've eaten and slept Alabama football for 53 years and you don't know how much it thrills me to be able to keep up with the Tide the way the internet has provided us. Anytime I want to know anything about the Tide all I have to do is turn on this dot com machine and click on RBR and read the news that friends have posted here. I don't know who started this blog and built it to what it is today but my hats off to them and I want to thank them for giving me a place to come to and be with Alabama minded people. I want to thank all the people on here that are so damn passionate about Alabama football, it amazes me how so well informed some of yall are. I also want to thank you for putting up with my computer illiteracy and my reply fail. I hope everyone here at RBR has a great 2012 and we start it off with another national championship. ROLL TIDE YALL!!!!

WWSS (what would saban say)
I have been on here all week reading post about THE game last week and the Paterno debacle. Along with most everyone I have made comments on both. It seems that we have forgotten that there is a very important football game to be played Saturday night at 6:45. I haven't seen much written about it here and I wonder what Saban would say to us right now. He would probably tell us that stuff is over and done and its time to get on with what is most important....the next game. Everyone here knows that MSU gives us fits everytime we play them and I am sure this year will be no different. Alabama players and fans need to forget what happened last Saturday night and get as fired up for MSU as we did against LSU. Our NC hopes depend on it. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!
HELP
I know this probably isnt the way to do this and I will hear about it but here goes. A fellow co-worker and I were having a discussion about Carnell (Cadillac) Williams and the first year Alabama played against him and Auburn. I said that a friend of mine and myself were watching the game on TV and Williams was running all over us and I told my friend that the only way we would beat Auburn that day would be if Williams got hurt. Of course Williams got hurt and Alabama beat them. He says that Alabama never beat Auburn while Williams was there. We have a bet wether I am right or wrong. I don't know of a better place to get confirmation of this than right here from all my RBR friends. So what say you?
TO ALL MY RBR FRIENDS
Just wanted to let all my friends here know that I am still around and I drop in at least once a week to be enlightened. I have read a few post where my "reply fell" has been mentioned and some wondered where I am. Its summer and I don't have as much spare time as I do during the fall and winter.
As yall know North Alabama was hit pretty hard by the tornadoes in April. I have been volunteering what spare time I have to the company I work for helping people that were hit.
You can bet your ass that if the good lord is willing and the creek doesn't rise I will be back here often in the fall commenting on what will hopefully be another championship season. It is nice to know that I was remembered even if it was for all my reply fells.

My A-day experience
Rode down with three friends from high school that I hadn't seen in many years. We talked about old times and it made the 3 hour ride down go really fast. I had't been to Tuscaloosa since 1993 and I was thoroughly impressed with the changes. I noticed that most of all those ugly green houses are gone with new 4 plexes taking their places and the campus was just beautiful. I guess it being early spring didn't hurt any.....everything was so green and alive. BDS is just magnificant....I never knew that stadium could look so good. You can't help but be impressed with the changes that have been made there. The Walk of Champions was all that I heard it was and then some and the sound of Denny Chimes brought a chill over me. I didn't brave the crowd at the Saban statue unveiling but wtched it on the jumbotron inside the stadium.
I did get to stop in at Egan's and meet a few of the RBR crowd and want to thank Bo for being so nice and for the coke. Did't get to hang around long because my friends had other things they wanted to do and see before we went to the stadium. All in all it was a great time and I promised myself that I would be back this fall. They say that Auburn is the lovliess village on the plains......I beg to differ
Two Quarterback System
I was just sitting here reading an article about AJ McCarron and Phillip Sims and in the article they mentioned that perhaps a two quarterback system would be something that Alabama could go to. That got me thinking about all the two quarterback systems I have seen at various schools over the years and how I don't remember any that really worked out. Can anyone tell me if there has been one that was sucessful and why you think it was?
I, for one, am not a fan of it because I think teams should have a clear cut leader. I know that we have at least two fine quarterbacks in Tuscaloosa and from what I've seen AJ McCarron still has a little growing up to do. I haven't seen enough of Simms to form an opinion on when it comes to leadership abilities.
