A freelance sportswriter since March 2005, I find the world of sports more engaging now than as one of those pimple-faced kids trying to emulate Deion Sanders. In fact, I wanted to be 'Prime Time', only that I could tackle and hit for average. While I was born and raised in New York City and attended college in the Boston area, my perspectives differ from what you might expect from those darn northeasterners. Sports provides a means to not only love the game, but learn about the people involved and absorbed by them.
I have also worked in the advertising industry, a second passion of mine. As I learn about this fascinating, yet challenging world, I hope to spread my freelancing 'talents' in the field. Though I have been involved in both of these industries, I am far from an expert and even the very best learn from their consumers. And if you're wondering where, my work is featured weekly in the African-American weekly, the New York Beacon (http://newyorkbeacon.net - 75 cents every Thursday at a newsstand near you... I think).
