Hump Day Highlights
About this time every week the yearn for broncos football reaches a zenith, as a perfect conflagration of mid-week boredom and regurgatative headlines comes together to make me want really badly to re-experiencinate some of the weekend's fun.
usually i will check out espn or nfl.com, watch the 2:13 second highlight video, and realize why the likes of many MSM fans and commentators have no clue.
When you only watch 3 plays from an entire game, it is very difficult to get a real sense of how weak or strong a team really is. in fact, doing so, i believe, leads directly to many crappy opinions about our denver broncos.
so i set about to make an admittedly dripping in orange kool-aid broncos highlight reel, of the pivotal plays throughout the game.
I have divided it by 1st and second half. enjoy.
a few things that stick out:
1. Orton was throwing some DARTS. great zip, and placed the ball well. he also puts the ball in smart areas, often forcing his receiver to make a tough catch in order to avoid interceptions.
2. Buck is looking better and better, and once the o-line gels our run game will be fine. even maroney has a few good jaunts, though they get lost in the negative yards.
3. Ayers really impressed, shedding blockers and collapsing the pocket consistently.
4. Dawkins was beastly, in top form this game for sure. his primal scream after his sack of VY was epic.
5. DJ had a really great game, his patience and gap control was a big difference, IMO. solid tackling too.
6. DT absolutely TRUCKS a few coverage guys on kickoffs.
7. still retired.
8. Eddie is BACK
9. the titans are cheap. i included the coach and his gesture, and Finnegan's cheap blow to kuper.
10. i included the kickoff returned for a TD, because i love how denver answers: Mr. Demaryius Thomas.
GO BRONCOS!

Thanksgiving day game threads
Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions
Oakland Raiders at Dallas Cowboys
talk about the games here?
I know a lot of folks will be getting fooddrunk, and may not want need to spend any time talking about these games, but hey, it fun anyways, right? need something to pass the time before the real fun of thanksgiving starts anyways.
Anyways, from Corvallis Oregon, have a great Thanksgiving, eat some bird, throw the ol pigskin around and tackle that annoying uncle a little too hard.
Go Broncos!!!!!
Would you pay for MHR?
With all of the hubbub and banter about the decline of print media, and the apparent rise of the premium site for broncos news, comment, and opinion, i wonder something.
via api.ning.com
Would I pay to get what I receive from MHR?
When I think about the depth of analysis, the range of views, the access to opinion, what i have on MHR is unparalled to almost any other information source on any topic, let alone football or Denver Broncos football.
One thing that jumps out to me that pushes MHR over the top is the depth and quality of interaction- some newspaper sites have a "comments" section, which many of you know becomes little more than an elementary school playground too closely resembling a night around an oakland raider fan's dinner table.
So would I pay, if necessary, for this content? and what if, by paying for content, we could fund a few press passes, maybe travel fees, for some of our writers/photographers to ask the burning questions smoldering throughout MHR of the coaches and players. It was great to read the first hand accounts from training camp- imagine that on a weekly basis during the regular season!
Photos from fridays game and token thoughts...
I was lucky enough to go to watch Denver play san fran, and it was a great time. the fans in SF are classy, candlestick aint bad, and it was a good way to kick off the mcdaniels era to see the boys live.
i had great seats so was able to get some good moments. enjoy.
