as posted on Power Mizzou

For Kansas to win they must:

Win out (beat Texas and Mizzou)
Hope Nebraska loses to either KSU or CU

Even if Mizzou beats ISU then can still win the North in a tie-breaker over Mizzou if they beat Texas and win at Arrowhead

For Nebraska to win they must:

Win out (beat KSU and CU)
Hope Mizzou loses out
Hope kU beats Mizzou (their game vs Texas is irrelevant, they have the tie-breaker)

For Mizzou to win they must:

Win out (beat ISU and KU)
Win vs ISU if kU loses to Texas
Beat kU if they lose Texas but Mizzou loses to ISU

Mizzou has the tiebreaker vs Nebraska so that's irrelevant unless they lose their last 2 and Nebraska wins their last 2

It appears Mizzou has the easiest path and controls their own destiny

A Final Thought before this weekend

Something to say before the showdown in San Anton

Now, I want you to remember that no player ever won a Big XII Championship by getting hurt for his team. He won it by making the other poor dumb player get hurt for his. Folks, all this stuff you’ve heard about Mizzou not wanting to play, wanting to ‘opt out’ of the Conference Championship game, is a lot of horse dung. Missourians traditionally love to fight. All real Missourians love the sting of battle. When you were kids, you all admired the champion washer thrower, the fastest runner, the big league ball player, the toughest boxer. Missourians love a winner and will not tolerate a loser. Missourians play to win all the time. I wouldn’t give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That’s why Missouri has never lost and will never lose a conference championship game. Because the very thought of losing is hateful to Missouri.

Now, Mizzou is a team. It lives, eats, sleeps, fights as a team. This individuality stuff is a bunch of crap. The bilious bastards who wrote that stuff about individuality for the Post-Dispatch don’t know anything more about real battle than they do about fornicating.
We have the finest facilities and equipment, the best coaches and the best offense in the nation. You know, by God I actually pity those poor bastards, Oklahoma, we’re going up against. By God, I do. We’re not just going to beat the Sooners, we’re going to cut out their living guts and use them to grease the treads our bandwagon on the way to New orleans. We’re going to murder those lousy Sooner bastards by the bushel.

Now, some of you, I know, are wondering whether or not our team chicken out under fire. Don't worry about it. I can assure you that they will all do their duty. The Sooners are the enemy. We will wade into them. Spill their blood. Hit them in the belly.

Now there’s another thing I want you to remember. I don’t want to get any messages saying that we are "playing our hearts out" and would be happy with the Cotton Bowl. We’re not hoping for a Cotton anything. Let the Sooners do that. We are advancing constantly and we’re not interested in playing onto anything except the national championship game. We're going to hold onto them by the helmets and we're going to kick them in the ass. We're going to kick the hell out of them all the time and we're gonna go through their defense like crap through a goose.

There’s one thing that you Mizzou fans traveling to San Antonio will be able to say when you get back home. And you may thank God for it. Thirty years from now when you’re sitting around your fireside with your grandson on your knee and he asks you what did you do in the great Mizzou season of 2007, you won’t have to say, "Well, I shoveled sh-t in Dallas, TX."
Alright now, you sons-of-bitches, you know how I feel. Oh, and I will be proud to cheer on Mizzou with any of you – anytime, anywhere.

That’s all.

The Morning After discusses Mizzou football past and present, senior day and the season with Head Coach Gary Pinkel in one segment. In another segment, the state of Missouri’s #1 Prospect, 5-Star QB Mizzou verbal commitment Blaine Gabbert discusses his choice to decommit from Nebraska, his relationship with Callahan and his decision to commit to Missouri. He also discusses his rapport with Daniel and how he’s trying to get other highly touted former Nebraska recruits, in-state recruits, and national ranked recruits to come to Mizzou

http://insidestl.com/morningafter/?p=349

Just periodically want to highlight accomlishments by Football/Hoops HS recruits as I run across articles.

Mizzou football is in a position not seen for 4 decades. They are Top 5 in the nation, and recruits with skills never been witnessed on a Mizzou campus are headed to, or seriously considering Columbia. Not just in-state ones either, this is becoming a national program and one to be taken seriously. Here's an article about a young man, Ghan McGaffie-QB from Texas that has verbally committed to Mizzou. Check out his latest accomplishments.
