I saw no terms but I'm guessing he won't be breaking another bank this year.

Having spent the most money of any team for the past decade (and maybe more than some small countries) and coming away with just 1 title, we know you don't guarantee anything because it looks good on paper. You'd think the Nation, the one with the green wall in the field of play, would have learned that being so closely tied to our own fate every year. Guess not.

Big Blue View Tom Brady becomes highest paid player

What?? Eli Manning Tom Brady doesn't deserve to be the highest paid player. He's not even a top five top three qb. His brother Peyton is way better than him and so are a bunch a few other qb's. It's just cuz he's in NY the news all the time.

And the merry-go-round continues. Peyton will top this contract and Brees will top Peyton's contract and Jamarcus Russell will top Brees' contract...wait.

Big Blue View The biggest problem last year was of course...the running game?

If you were asked to point to the one obvious problem with last year's Giants, what would it be? I'll give you 3 seconds....yes. Defense. Unless of course you ask Jason Cole of Yahoo. Granted in this article he was ranking running backs so he had to make it interesting, but for him to say

If you want to point to one reason why the Giants regressed so much last season, it was the decline of their overall running game...

seems like he didn't do any homework on the Giants problems.

Obviously the running game was off last year. But if I was listing reasons for last year's disappointment, the running game would be around 4th behind DL, LB, and S. If you watched the games that's a no brainer.

But even if you watched no games and looked at no detailed stats, a quick glance at the standings page alone tells you we scored over 400 points and allowed more than we scored. That alone clearly points to a problem with the defense.

I agree with everything else he says in that blurb, but I think everyone here knows why we didn't make the playoffs and it wasn't a lack of any offense.

Pinstripe Alley Phillie GM's Boggling Statement

In response to criticism of the Cliff Lee trade, Phillies GM Ruben Amaro Jr says in this article that the Phillies cannot be the Yankees. That instead they need to develop their core players from their system. What did he mean by that?

Big Blue View Tony Romo Volunteers to Be Holder

Tony Romo volunteered to be the holder to "help" Nick Folk regain his accuracy. He says he doesn't really want to do it for "obvious reasons" but he'll give it a shot because all that matters is winning. Well...this is Romo's last hold.

I wonder if when he volunteered the cowboys said "...yeah...I think we're good. Thanks anyway Tony. We'll let ya know."
