Lob City Lover!
I do not really see this getting done, but it wouldn't be a bad trade. Kirk is 6-4, just as Foye, but personally I believe he is a starting quality guard.
"Eric Pincus@EricPincus Clippers announce they're raising ticket prices for first time in 6 years - by an average of 15%" This was bound to happen!
I love Virgin America. Them and Jet Blue have awesome in flight perks! We are coming up!
"Lamar Odom getting into it with Mark Cuban. The owner had the nerve to ask Odom to hustle. Lamar didn't like that"; Frank Isola (@FisolaNYDN) I guess DTS isn't the only owner that "taunts" his players. Hopefully some ESPN news writer writes an article on Mark Cuban's evil ways. This just made me think that B Diddy and LO are similar "emotional players." I heard a rumor on the world wide web about a possible buy-out of LO and the Clips singing him. That better stay a rumor, since I wouldn't want a Diva with the Clips. Especially one that would start being a littler girl when our owner heckles him for lack of effort!
I just wanted to give everyone a heads up about Randy Foye Foundation night at Staples Center on Saturday, March 7, 2012. I saw Foye tweet out the link. The tickets are discounted and are going to a good cause. I also found the following information on his foundation's facebook page: "Los Angeles, get discounted tickets to see the Clippers vs. Kings on Saturday, April 7th at the Staples Center! A portion of your purchase goes to the Randy Foye Foundation, and if a minimum of 50 tickets are purchased we will hold a post-game meet and greet with Randy! See attached flyer to purchase." http://www.facebook.com/randyfoyegivingback This is a pretty cool thing that Randy Foye is doing!
On or about December 11, 2011, DeAndre Jordan signed an offer sheet with the Golden State Warriors. The Clippers decided to match said offer. The offer was worth $43 million for 4 years. Of course...
"The unofficial cheerleader has entertained fans and received free tickets. Now he wants to be a paid spokesman, but without following team rules, and he's made the Clippers look like the villain." "The Clippers say they actually offered their cheerleader a chance to be treated exactly like a Clippers cheerleader, with a $70 nightly salary but no unsanctioned interviews or appearances, and he refused."
Just as previously reported. He is likely to play in front of Gomes. But, is it possible to have a starting five of CP3-Caron-Simmons-BG-DJ? Backups would be Mo/Bledsoe/Foye/Reggie/Martin
Ralph Lawler tweeted this fan made "Lob City" music video. The lyrics are clearly more superior than Tyga's.

WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski DeAndre Jordan has signed a 4 year, $43 million offer sheet with Golden State, agent Greg Lawrence tells Y! WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski The sheet's getting delivered to the Clippers now, and they'll have 3 days to match the Warriors offer for the restricted free agent center.
So, it begins! I still think it is too much!"He’s a young, active player, probably coming into his own. Those are the kinds of players that people are willing to take chances on in terms of paying a lot of money for. At the end of the day you have to find out what’s in store for anyone. I’m just really not sure about him." Also: Ken Berger@KBergCBS Warriors have amnestied Charlie Bell and rescinded qualifying offer to Reggie Williams, clearing room for DeAndre Jordan offer sheet. From my perspective, it appears like the Warriors don't have a good faith intention on signing DJ. I feel like they know the Clips will match their offer, so they are just attempting to have a rival overpay for a player.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to use their amnesty clause on veteran point guard Baron Davis, a league source told Yahoo! Sports on Thursday. Once the Cavs use their amnesty clause on Davis, teams with room under the salary cap can bid on him. If Davis were to somehow clear waivers, he would likely be coveted by some contending teams. The Miami Heat have expressed interest in the 12-year veteran and the Knicks will need a point guard if, as expected, they waive or trade Chauncey Billups to sign center Tyson Chandler.
@KBergCBS Ken Berger Interesting wrinkle to Celtics' bid for CP3: If RFA Jeff Green accepts qualifying offer, he can block deal. Gives Green some leverage. 10 minutes ago
Maybe the Clips still have a chance!I believe Steve already talked about this rumor in an earlier post, but now Shane Battier "officially" stated his intent to sign with the Heatles. From the article: Battier wrote on Twitter early Thursday that the lockout gave him a lot of time "to consider what was important to me at this stage of my life and career." "Over the last week, I’ve played out every scenario in my head over and over," he wrote. "It always came back to one thing for me: a winning role."

From Woj's Twitter Account: "Stern: 'We have a gulf that separates us'" "Another GM: 'I think the best case scenario now is 50 games, but I can see the whole season gone.'" Damn you players!!! Why can't you just agree on a 50-50 split!! I know its not that simple, but players should come down to earth and realize that a lot of owners were hit hard by the current economic crisis!!!
Motivated by John Raffo's recent article, "Things Forgetten," I decided to search legal databases (Westlaw and LexisNexis) for any lawsuits where the NBA was a party. I encountered the following...
Interesting tweets from Wojnarowski: "Been so much posturing past two years, but I think all hell's going to break loose if Stern and owners don't negotiate for real on Tuesday." "Agent on decert: 'Maybe if Stern's faced w/ revealing their real financial records, legal costs and paying possibly billions in damages....Maybe he’ll have more incentive to make a deal than sitting across from Hunter, eating turkey sandwiches and taking a percentage ...point at a time from the players.'" "If nothing else, the agents seem determined to create some leverage headed into Tuesday's meeting, because the players have so little." "Prominent player agent to Y!: 'We're not just walking off the cliff with (Billy Hunter). We're ready to take the next step and decertify.'" "Agent to Y! Sports (continued): 'We're not going to let the league set up tomorrow's meeting as a way to trap us into a bad deal.'"
I am fully aware that an article about BG, Mo, and Foye asking to enter the Impact LV league with an all Clipper team has been posted. But this article had a very interesting note that I might very well be in agreement with: "The Clippers resemble the Sacramento Kings of yesteryear, specifically the 1998-99 lockout shortened season when a squad led by Chris Webber, Jason ‘White Chocolate’ Williams, and Vlade Divac went 27-23. Those Kings not only entertained but possessed a togetherness that made them a force in the Western Conference for the next five years." What do you ya'll think? I will be a happy camper if they have a succesful string of season's like the Kings did in the late 1990s an early 2000s. But the problem with that King's team was they never made it past the Western Conference Finals. Does that make that King's team unsuccessful? I think not. But if a Griffin led Clipper team becomes a force in the next few years but fails to make wll an NBA title (or even make an appearance a la King's team), would we deem the team a success or not?
I really hope this games end up on TV! From the Article: "Organizers of the Ultimate All-Star Weekend announced on Friday that Bryant will be joined by Sacramento Kings’ Tyreke Evans, LA Clippers’ DeAndre Jordan, Oklahoma City Thunder’s James Harden, New Orleans Hornets’ Chris Paul, and Minnesota Timberwolves’ Derrick LeRon Williams." "'We almost had Blake Griffin, he already said yes. But his brother is getting married,' Reyes added.
ESPN Boston Celtics piece on DJ and their need for a viable player to hold it down at the Center Position. From the Article: "But here's one more bit of motivation for Boston: The Celtics hold the Clippers' first-round pick next season. Pursuing Jordan, even if it only forces the Clippers to up his salary, would prevent them -- in some small way -- from adding additional talent, which could aid that pick in being more valuable should it come to Boston (it's top 10 protected, but every little bit helps considering next year's draft is expected to be chock full of talent)."
"One rumor has Bosh heading to the LA Clippers and in return the Heat would get Chris Kaman an Randy Foye. Miami would get two solid players and the Clippers would add Bosh to go along with Blake Griffin in the front-court." WTF, this seems like a stupid move, if the rumor holds any truth at all!
